Chapter 57 - Chapter 56: Final Showdown, Charmeleon’s Type-Disadvantage Battle

"Mio~"

Milotic gently rubbed against Ace, looking extremely happy.

She—who once couldn't even defeat a slightly stronger Magikarp, let alone a powerful Scyther—had grown to her current level with her master's help.

For a moment, a faint trace of water seeped from beneath her gorgeous scales, and she once again began to crave her master's pure essence.

As a Dragon-type—especially a water-serpent type—Milotic's needs in this regard were far greater than those of ordinary Pokémon.

Of course, the most important reason was that her master was simply delicious. Eating more of him could even increase her strength.

"Alright, wait a bit. I'll feed you after the final battle~"

"Mio~"

Milotic lowered her head, kissed Ace's face, then turned into a red light and returned to her Poké Ball.

"Ace, your Milotic…" Professor Oak walked over, hesitating to speak.

"Hm. She evolved from Feebas, but I only expressed my true feelings to her. The exact reason is still unclear." Ace shrugged. He had no interest in research.

His college graduation thesis in his previous life had been completely made up, and in this life, he was only interested in girls and Spirit Maidens.

As for Pokémon battles… becoming a Pokémon Master along the way was just one of the easier ways for him to pick up girls.

"Is that so… then could you—"

"No."

Before Oak could finish, Ace interrupted directly. "My Milotic is pretty shy. I'm afraid she can't be researched, Professor."

"Alas… what a pity. I was hoping to make new progress on evolution research…" Professor Oak sighed and gave up.

Just as Ace and Red were preparing for their final showdown, a dark shadow repeatedly flickered through the forest, darting across the treetops.

"Whoosh—"

A faint, almost imperceptible cold light swept past, knocking an Oran Berry from a fruit tree.

"Pa…"

The berry landed in a delicate, slender hand and was lifted into the air.

"Ka…"

Two rows of silver teeth took a small bite.

This was a short-haired girl wearing fishnet stockings and a ninja outfit.

If Ace were here, he would recognize her instantly—Aya.

"Strange… where did Zubat go…"

Aya scratched her head in frustration, staring at the endless forest around her, feeling slightly lost.

Last night, Zubat had gone out to forage as usual but never returned.

She waited and waited, but he never came back, so she had no choice but to search for him herself.

At first, there were no clues. But after careful investigation, she began finding faint purple water stains on the ground, carrying traces of poisonous energy.

She recognized them immediately—these were left behind by Zubat.

It was just that she had never seen anything like this before.

What she didn't know was that at this very moment, Zubat was desperately searching everywhere for Ace's whereabouts…

And those water stains were nothing more than Zubat's overflowing love, unable to contain his emotions.

"Brother Ace!"

Serena, Chloe, and Nanami arrived together at the battle arena.

All three were smiling brightly, clearly having enjoyed a high-quality lunch break.

"You're here. The finals are next—against Red," Ace said as he greeted them.

His gaze swept unreservedly over their fullness and perkiness.

Having experienced the softness of a loli, the gentleness of a big sister, and the vitality of a beautiful girl, these three no longer held any mysteries for him.

"Then Brother, you have to do your best!" Chloe clenched her fists, her face full of anticipation.

"So my two useless brothers were eliminated?" Nanami smiled sweetly as she glanced at Gary and Green.

"Hm, Ace is pretty strong," Green said, smoothing his hair. "Just a little too dirty."

Gary snorted. "Tch… I wasn't defeated by your man."

"What are you saying?!" Nanami widened her eyes, a bit embarrassed.

What she let Ace do behind closed doors was her own business—but being teased by Gary in front of everyone was still awkward.

Serena smiled softly, her eyes never leaving Ace, her fingertips unconsciously drawing circles along her thigh.

"Alright, children," Professor Oak clapped his hands, gathering the campers.

"The final showdown is about to begin. I hope you all watch carefully and learn some Trainer techniques from Red and Ace."

Both boys nodded slightly, indicating they were ready.

"Good. Then the Battle Experience Tournament's final match—Red vs Ace—begins now!"

"Go, Poliwag! Prepare for battle!"

"Charmeleon, I choose you!"

Two Poké Balls opened simultaneously. One red and one blue Pokémon appeared on the battlefield.

[Charmeleon Lv35 (Advanced)]

[Poliwag Lv32 (Advanced)]

"Charmeleon?!" Everyone was stunned.

Ace's lineup consisted of two Fire-types and one Water-type. Red choosing Poliwag was expected—but Ace sending out Charmeleon was not.

No matter how one looked at it, he should have chosen the higher-leveled Rapidash or the Water-type Milotic.

Instead, he chose the Pokémon least likely to appear.

"What's wrong with Charmeleon?" Ash asked foolishly.

In his world, he didn't really understand type advantages and disadvantages.

No one answered him, because the battle had already begun.

Red opened with a probing Water Gun.

A jet of water erupted from Poliwag's navel and slammed directly into Charmeleon. The move's proficiency was already at the level of effortless control.

"Use Sunny Day!"

"Huh?!" Everyone was shocked.

Facing a Water-type move that countered her, Ace actually ordered a weather change on the spot.

Sunny Day: For a period of time, the weather becomes sunny. Fire-type moves increase in power by 50%, while Water-type moves decrease by 50%.

"Bang…"

Water Gun hit Charmeleon head-on, pushing her back several meters. Even so, she endured the damage and successfully activated Sunny Day.

"Use Mud Shot while closing in!"

Mud Shot: A Ground-type special move with 55 power that lowers the opponent's Speed on hit.

Red reacted instantly. Since Water-type moves were weakened, he switched to a Ground-type move that also countered Fire-types—and slowing Charmeleon would let Poliwag capitalize on its Speed.

However, Ace's next command once again stunned everyone.

"Fire Spin."

Charmeleon's eyes flashed.

She endured the super-effective Mud Shot again, then opened her mouth and spat out a spiraling vortex of flames, completely trapping Poliwag.

Fire Spin: A Fire-type special move with 35 power. It traps the target in a vortex of flames, dealing continuous damage and preventing switching.

"Poli…"

Under Sunny Day, Fire Spin's power was greatly amplified. Poliwag clearly began to struggle.

"Clap!"

The final chunk of mud struck the ground in front of Charmeleon. Her figure wavered, her stamina clearly taking a heavy hit.

At that moment, Ace's lips curled upward.

"It's over…"

"Huh?" Everyone stared at him in confusion.

The next second, a scorching red glow erupted across the battlefield.

"Whoosh—!!"

The flames illuminated Ace's face. He bared his teeth in a sharp grin and roared.

"Charmeleon, Flamethrower!"

"Char—!!"

"BOOM—!!!"

A pillar of fire nearly two meters wide surged forward like a raging twister, completely engulfing Poliwag.
