Chapter 148 - Chapter 148

Chapter 148: Three-Star Dragon

Universe 6's Supreme Kai Realm.

Supreme Kai Fuwa lay in his rocking chair as usual, a single snot bubble expanding and contracting with each breath.

Suddenly, the bubble popped. Fuwa shot upright from his chair.

His expression turned grave as he stared into the distance, as if his gaze could pierce through the Supreme Kai planet itself to see somewhere far across the universe.

"So these are the Evil Dragons Turles mentioned?"

After watching for a long moment, Fuwa frowned, muttering under his breath. His eyes filled with disbelief.

Though Fuwa had received advance warning from Turles and prepared himself for the Evil Dragons' appearance, when they actually emerged, even he was completely shocked.

As a Supreme Kai, Fuwa's experience was considerable. Yet sensing the Evil Dragons' presence, he was still stunned by the sheer malevolence radiating from them.

If he hadn't already known Turles had reached god realm, he probably would've rushed to find God of Destruction Champa by now.

After pacing in circles for several moments, Fuwa still couldn't settle his nerves. He glanced toward the God of Destruction Realm, hesitated, then ultimately decided against it.

All he could do was use his Supreme Kai abilities to monitor the situation.

Naturally, Turles had no idea what was happening in the God of Destruction Realm or Supreme Kai Realm. He was already preparing to deal with the Evil Dragons one by one.

"Turles, which one should we handle first?"

Since the Dragon Balls had been completely corrupted by evil energy, their radiation waves had changed. Turles didn't want to bring Bulma over at this point, so using the Dragon Radar to locate the Evil Dragons wouldn't work.

Fortunately, Turles possessed Instant Transmission. Even across the vastness of space, he could sense the seven Evil Dragons' locations.

The key question now was which one they should tackle first.

Hearing Caulifla's question, Turles glanced at the excited girl but didn't answer immediately. Instead, he fell into thought.

Based purely on the Evil Dragons' energy signatures he could currently sense, Turles was confident he could handle them—assuming nothing unexpected happened.

But Turles knew the Evil Dragons couldn't be judged by battle power alone. From his memories, these Evil Dragons possessed more than just raw strength. Some had special abilities.

He remembered one Evil Dragon with the weakest battle power could release corrosive poison mist, drain the life force of anything it touched, and contaminate entire environments.

Four-Star Dragon commanded flames, could superheat its body to resist physical attacks, and even generate solar-level temperatures.

That was 6000°C—even Turles at his current level might not withstand such heat for extended periods.

And there were others with lightning, ice, and various other abilities. One-Star Dragon could even absorb negative energy to strengthen itself, basically an alternate version of Super 17.

Turles didn't know if the seven Evil Dragons he'd face possessed the same abilities from his memories, but caution was always wise.

However, Turles could only sense the seven Evil Dragons' locations. He had no way to determine their specific abilities.

After thinking it over, Turles explained his concerns to Carrit and the others.

"Hmm..."

Hearing Turles's worries, the five Saiyans exchanged glances, suddenly finding themselves at a loss.

Saiyans loved battle, but they weren't mindless brutes. Compared to Universe 7's Saiyans, the Sadala Saiyans were far more rational.

For a moment, everyone fell silent.

"Why not try asking Supreme Kai-sama?"

Just then, the elder—having recovered from the Evil Dragons' shocking appearance—spoke up, drawing everyone's attention.

"Supreme Kai?"

"Who's that?"

"Cabba, have you heard of him?"

Hearing the elder's words, Carrit and the others began murmuring among themselves. But Turles's eyes lit up as he smacked his forehead in frustration.

He'd gotten so caught up in planning to handle the Evil Dragons himself that he'd forgotten this wasn't just his problem. This concerned the entire Sixth Universe—Supreme Kai Fuwa had a responsibility here too.

If even Old Kai possessed the ability to observe events through a crystal ball, surely Fuwa—as a proper Supreme Kai—should have similar capabilities.

As for seeking out Champa and Vados, Turles didn't even consider it. From the beginning, they'd made clear this matter was his to handle. They wouldn't interfere.

Turles didn't understand why they'd stand aside while the Sixth Universe faced such a crisis, but since Vados had already stated their position, what else could he do?

No sooner thought than done. Turles first returned the elder to Planet Namek, then used Instant Transmission to bring Carrit and the others to the Supreme Kai Realm.

Whoosh!

The six figures materialized before the Supreme Kai's palace. The moment they arrived, Caulifla and the others were captivated by the Supreme Kai Realm's scenery.

"So this is the Supreme Kai Realm? It looks way bigger than Planet Sadala!"

"Yeah! Turles said a great deity lives here!"

"I wonder if this deity is as strong as Turles?"

Ignoring their chatter, Turles focused on Fuwa, who stood some distance away staring at something.

"Hm? Turles?"

Fuwa immediately noticed their arrival and hurried over.

After greeting Turles, Fuwa's gaze shifted to the five Saiyans behind him. Sensing their energy, his lips curved into a smile.

All five were Universe 6 natives, so naturally Fuwa knew of them. Now that their strength had improved dramatically thanks to Turles, this was excellent news for Universe 6.

Imagining more powerful warriors emerging from Planet Sadala in the future, Fuwa looked at Turles with even greater warmth.

"Truly worthy of being the apprentice Supreme Kai chosen by Old Kai!"

Fuwa silently praised him, clearly attributing everything to Turles.

Unaware of Fuwa's thoughts, Turles returned the greeting, then explained his request.

Unexpectedly, after hearing what Turles needed, Fuwa looked troubled.

"Is there a problem, Fuwa-sama?"

Seeing this, Turles's heart sank as he asked carefully.

Fuwa looked at Turles, embarrassment flashing across his face. After hesitating for a long moment, he said awkwardly, "The method you mentioned does exist..."

Before Turles could feel relieved, Fuwa continued: "But..."

"But what?"

Pressed by Turles's question, Fuwa grew even more uncomfortable. Finally, he closed his eyes with a resigned expression and mumbled, "I've always been more interested in combat, and... well... my work ethic has been rather... lax, so..."

By the end, Fuwa's voice had become almost inaudible.

But Turles understood the unspoken meaning.

"Lax"? More like slacking off. Turles was all too familiar with that.

His own universe had a deity just like this. At least Fuwa actually did his Supreme Kai duties himself. Beerus literally delegated his God of Destruction work to others.

Turles shot Fuwa a look of disdain.

Noticing Turles's expression, Fuwa squirmed with embarrassment and scratched his head.

Fuwa was still a Supreme Kai—technically higher ranking than Turles's current apprentice position. So Turles didn't want to humiliate him too much. After that single contemptuous look, he changed the subject:

"By the way, Fuwa-sama, what were you watching so intently earlier?"

Turles had casually shifted topics, but Fuwa's next words immediately rekindled his interest.

"You mean when I was observing the Evil Dragons?"

Turles's voice rose with surprise and delight, pulling Caulifla and the others from their commentary about the Supreme Kai's appearance.

"Indeed—Evil Dragons. That's quite the fitting name. The evil radiating from them is truly rare!"

Fuwa ended with a contemplative sigh.

Turles ignored Fuwa's philosophical musings. He stepped forward, grabbed Fuwa's hand, and asked excitedly, "Fuwa-sama, are you saying you can shift your vision to the Evil Dragons' locations? Like zooming in your sight?"

Fuwa didn't understand why Turles was so excited, but nodded in confusion. "Yes, it's a basic Supreme Kai ability. Even King Kais can do it. Is something wrong? Did you not know this, Turles-san?"

Hearing this, Turles's excitement faltered. He shifted uncomfortably and muttered, "I... of course I knew that."

Under Fuwa's probing gaze, embarrassment flashed across Turles's face as he thought to himself: "Of course I knew it's a King Kai ability, but I've never been a King Kai!"

Turles had only just remembered that observing across the universe was a basic King Kai skill. He'd even used North Kai's ability before to broadcast his five-year development plan.

But Turles's time as an apprentice Supreme Kai had been too brief. He'd spent it learning Supreme Kai divine power applications from Old Kai, then—due to some of Old Kai's scheming—been sent away from the Supreme Kai Realm. His apprentice training had been interrupted before he learned these fundamental abilities.

But now there was no need to worry. With Fuwa here, observing the Evil Dragons to identify their abilities would be simple.

Fuwa understood Turles reasonably well. Hearing that Turles hadn't yet learned universe observation wasn't surprising.

When Turles explained he wanted to use this ability to study the Evil Dragons and find their weaknesses, Fuwa immediately had Turles place a hand on his shoulder without hesitation.

As Fuwa activated his ability, the scenery in Turles's vision began rapidly changing.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!

Like fast-forwarding through a movie, scene after scene flashed before Turles's eyes. The brilliant destruction of planets, the beauty of life being born—but before Turles could focus, each scene vanished, replaced by the next. Gradually, the images slowed.

Finally, Turles's vision settled on a black planet.

As his perspective zoomed closer, Turles finally saw his target clearly.

And in that moment, Turles felt his gaze lock directly with the creature in the vision.

On an unknown planet—one that clearly had been teeming with life based on its features—everything had become desolate. Black mist shrouded the entire world. The sky was black. The land was black. Even the oceans were black.

Yet within this darkness, a single point of white light stood out—the planet's only illumination.

Drawing closer to the light, Turles realized it was a bright energy barrier. Through it, he could see the few remaining survivors inside.

These beings resembled elves in appearance. Under normal circumstances, such creatures would be beautiful and noble, but now they huddled together in terror, clinging to each other for comfort as they stared fearfully beyond the barrier, as if drawing strength from their companions.

The barrier itself wasn't faring well. Dark energy churned around it like a great mouth, continuously devouring the light from the shield.

Under this assault, the barrier flickered uncertainly, as if at any moment it would join the rest of the planet in complete darkness.

But just as the barrier reached its breaking point and the beings inside trembled with fear, the dark energy suddenly stopped swirling. The next moment, something massive slowly emerged from the darkness.

This sudden change heightened the elves' panic. Several nearly cried out before companions quickly covered their mouths.

As the massive form stepped fully before the barrier, the light illuminated its complete appearance.

The creature had a black body the size of a small mountain. Behind it, a pair of bat-like wings folded against its back, their surfaces covered in vicious barbs.

Most critically, the creature possessed a dragon's head. At the center of its forehead, a gray glass sphere was embedded as if it had grown there naturally. Through the sphere, three five-pointed stars were faintly visible.

This was Turles's target—an Evil Dragon. And from the Dragon Ball in its forehead, it could be called Three-Star Dragon.

Emerging from the black mist, Three-Star Dragon glanced briefly at the elves in the barrier, disgust flashing in its eyes. The next second, it raised its head, and its gaze locked onto something in the distance—meeting Turles's observation directly.
