Chapter 11 - Chapter 8: A Hearty Chat

The God of Order raised an eyebrow and said casually, "Of course I can teach you, but it's still too early now." He waved his hand dismissively. "If you ask me, you'll learn it soon enough—not that there's much to learn anyway. Just use your divine bodies more often. Use them however you want. That'll speed up the integration."

A flicker of disappointment crossed the younger brother's face, but anticipation still gleamed in his eyes. He couldn't help pressing further: "Then what were you doing just now? Why did you use the astral projection technique?"

The God of Order glanced at him, his tone somewhat evasive: "Why ask so many questions? This is grown-up business. Kids shouldn't meddle." He swiftly changed the subject. "What did you come here for anyway?"

The younger brother answered honestly, "We wanted to chat with someone and learn a thing or two while we're at it."

"Shoo, shoo," the God of Order waved them off. "I'm busy. Go find someone else."

"We don't know anyone else out there," the younger brother insisted. "Besides, Dad told us to come to you."

Upon hearing it was their father's instruction, the God of Order's attitude shifted instantly.

"Come in, come in," he suddenly beamed. "Let's have a good chat! Talk about whatever you want, do whatever you want."

The siblings looked puzzled. "But aren't you busy?"

The God of Order sighed. "Ah, lately it's just been trivial, annoying stuff. Thinking about it pisses me off. I'll leave it to my subordinates to handle—and if it really comes to a fight, no one can beat them anyway."

The siblings pressed on: "What does soul separation feel like?"

"Nothing special," the God of Order shrugged. "Or rather, you don't really feel anything at all. If I had to describe it, maybe you hear a 'pop,' like cracking a knuckle." He demonstrated casually. "Actually, you just relax your whole body, like you're falling asleep. The trick is to breathe slowly, slower and slower, until you stop."

"That sounds too intense!" the younger brother exclaimed.

"It's not that bad," the God of Order said nonchalantly. "The key thing is, once your primordial spirit leaves your body, all your actions require money to maintain energy. Your souls were born wealthy, far richer than ordinary people. That's why your thoughts are exceptionally clear, your spirit especially vibrant, and your energy more abundant than anyone else's."

The siblings exchanged glances.

"So that's it! I never noticed," the younger brother murmured.

"What happens if the primordial spirit runs out of money?" the elder brother pressed.

"Nothing noticeable," the God of Order said lightly. "You just can't move anymore."

"I see," the elder brother mused.

"So profound," the younger sister whispered admiringly.

The God of Order lowered his voice mysteriously. "You don't know this, but while they say in the mortal world that soul separation means certain death, it's not absolute. Your divine bodies are already dripping with wealth; they can automatically gather divine power. Even if you perform soul separation in the mortal world, your divine bodies won't perish."

He added proudly, "And here's something even more impressive: as long as the damage to your divine body isn't fatal, you can recover by devouring divine power. Pretty amazing, right?"

The siblings nodded repeatedly, their faces full of admiration.

And so, they chatted on for a very, very long time.
