*Why is it like this?* Zhou Yi was also thinking this. To be honest, he had come today truly to help Bruce. But he had no idea what had gotten into this perpetually wanted man to say such misleading things.
And the worst part was that the female Hulk had gone completely crazy with him, tackling him to the ground without a word.
He couldn't use violence or any means that might harm her, because he really didn't want to deepen this misunderstanding. But Jennifer didn't see it that way.
She had gained a power she had never imagined possible and become a superhero-like figure. Look at what she was doing—brutally beating down the Dawn Knight. How many people could do that? None, currently, in this world. She was the only one who could pummel him like this. The thought alone thrilled her, making her feel a surge of exhilaration, even reaching a point of arousal.
Clinging desperately to the Dawn Knight and refusing to let go, Jennifer continued her violent assault. She used her head like a battering ram, repeatedly slamming it against Zhou Yi's helmet. Each impact produced a deafening clang and visible shockwaves, the result of her immense strength and the formidable hardness of both their heads and the helmet.
The noise, happening right beside his ear, gave Zhou Yi a terrible headache. While the attacks were too weak to truly harm him, the racket was still incredibly annoying.
However, adhering to a basic principle of peaceful resolution, he refrained from using force for the moment and tried reasoning with her again.
"Madam, please stop and listen to me!"
*Thud!* Another powerful headbutt sent nanometal particles scattering across Zhou Yi's vision. For a giant, such materials were simply too fragile.
"I truly mean you no harm. Please stop!" Zhou Yi decided to give her another chance; as a man, he felt he should defer to a lady. But his plea was met with another *thud!*
Even the most patient person would eventually lose their temper after being treated this way repeatedly. Zhou Yi wasn't Mahatma Gandhi; he didn't have the restraint to endure such treatment, nor did he have any masochistic tendencies. So, when Jennifer prepared to headbutt him again, Zhou Yi retaliated.
He leaned back slightly with a bit of force and delivered a headbutt of his own. The collision of two forces created a far greater reaction than a single one. The explosion-like roar was deafening, but the shockwave alone was enough to flip over a nearby car, creating a truly devastating scene.
The two policemen who rushed over at the commotion were startled. They never expected to find such a spectacle in this deserted alley. Just as they were cautiously approaching to investigate, a green figure shot out like a cannonball, smashing into a van and crumpling it like a tin can.
The green figure was a towering, green-skinned woman. The moment the policemen saw her, they remembered their orders: "Apprehend the Green Skin." The order hadn't specified gender, so they immediately assumed this was their target.
"Hands up, now! You Green-skinned Orc!" The two police officers immediately drew their pistols and aimed them at the She-Hulk. Jennifer, who had just climbed out of the wreckage of a pile of vehicles, paid them no mind. Though she had only recently acquired this power, after weeks of experimentation and research, she no longer feared human firearms.
"Get away from me!" she roared at the officers with queenly authority. She strode to a lamppost, gripped the thick metal pole, and yanked it free from its base as if it were a clothesline. To her, it probably felt even lighter than a clothesline.
The officers had no idea Jennifer had ripped down the lamppost to use against someone else. All they saw was a towering, green-skinned woman, deemed dangerous, ripping a steel lamppost from the ground like a monster and brandishing it as a weapon.
Few officers could remain calm in such a situation, and these two were clearly not among the exceptions. Feeling threatened, they immediately opened fire on Jennifer.
Bullets began raining down on Jennifer like a hailstorm, yet they left neither so much as a scratch. One sharp-eyed policeman even witnessed the terrifying sight of his own bullet striking her cheekbone and flattening on impact. The two men were so stunned they didn't even realize they had emptied their magazines.
For Jennifer, the gunfire felt like a spring drizzle—harmless and inconsequential. Though she didn't particularly enjoy being shot at, her level-headed nature kept her from retaliating against the officers. She simply gripped the lamppost in her hand, her eyes fixed on the dark alleyway, ready to face whatever enemy emerged.
"Ma'am, I repeat, drop the object in your hand. Let's talk this out. Otherwise... I'll have to resort to more forceful methods."
A shadow appeared in the alleyway as the voice rang out. Jennifer's response was to charge forward, the lamppost held high like a green comet.
The lamppost seemed to strike something, sparking brightly. Then, as if being devoured, it rapidly shrank in Jennifer's hands. By the time the four-to-five-meter-long pole had been reduced to a mere base she could cradle in her arms, a black-armored hand clamped down on her arm, halting her momentum.
"If you won't talk, we'll do it this way!" Zhou Yi declared, suddenly throwing Jennifer upward with all his might. The throw sent her soaring straight into the clouds. He then leaped upward himself, chasing after her like a cannonball.
The two police officers watching this couldn't help but swallow hard and slap their faces. The stinging pain confirmed that everything they were witnessing was real. After exchanging a quick glance, they immediately began reporting what they saw.
"We've located the target near the Broadway Theater. The Dawn Knight has also appeared, and they're fighting."
The news was heard by different people, naturally eliciting varied reactions.
"Damn it, why does this guy have to show up now?" General Ross slammed the microphone down in his hand as soon as he heard the news. The Dawn Knight's appearance was undoubtedly bad news for him. He had no idea what this guy was up to, and from any angle, whatever he was doing seemed unlikely to benefit General Ross in any way. That was the most infuriating part. This was a disruptor, General Ross decided.
"Give the order! Surround the area. Deploy all aircraft. I don't care if it's the Dawn Knight or some other damn thing. I want the Hulk, and anyone who dares obstruct our mission is to be attacked immediately. Understood?"
The pilot operating the aircraft swallowed hard.
"Sir, should we really do this? That's the Dawn Knight."
"I don't care who he is, soldier!" General Ross snapped, his voice icy. "All I know is that your duty is to obey orders. And my order is to attack anything that obstructs us. Do you understand?"
"Yes, sir!" the pilot replied loudly, but his face had turned deathly pale.
Meanwhile, Blonsky, holding a soldier by the head and dangling him in mid-air, listened silently to the crackling voice coming from the walkie-talkie on the soldier's shoulder. Only after hearing General Ross's command did he rub his fingers together, instantly reducing the man in his grip to a pulpy mess. Showing no reaction to his own actions, he simply stared in the direction of Broadway Street and let out a low chuckle.
"Banner, you're there. And Dawn Knight, it's time to see who the strongest warrior truly is."
With that, he began to run, his massive frame thundering through the streets like a runaway tank. His sudden appearance instantly plunged the avenue into chaos.
The once orderly traffic flow dissolved into pandemonium, with numerous cars colliding violently. Blonsky showed no interest in helping, instead charging through the streets like a rampaging tank.
Anything in his path suffered indiscriminate destruction. Cars slightly out of the way were simply overturned, while those directly blocking his path were either kicked aside with brutal force or swatted away with a single, devastating blow.
In his current form, Blonsky was as strong as the Hulk, and to him, the cars were no heavier than toys. Naturally, under his brutal assault, the unfortunate vehicles flew through the air in all directions.
Some spun wildly before crashing on the other side of the road, while others were hurled into nearby buildings. Perhaps due to igniting some equipment, a massive fire erupted from one of the buildings, plunging the scene into even greater chaos.
Witnessing this ferocious monster rampaging through everything in its path, people began to flee in a panic. They abandoned their cars and belongings, their only thought to escape. This only worsened the pandemonium and further fueled Blonsky's arrogance.
Imagine the thrill of making countless people scatter in terror because of you alone. Blonsky would tell you it's an incredibly satisfying feeling. And even more satisfying is the feeling of victory after defeating a powerful opponent.
With this thought, he slammed into a skyscraper. Wall after wall crumbled before him, the entire building groaning under the assault. Blonsky didn't care. He just wanted to charge straight ahead, eager for a battle.
