Chapter 259 - The Sealed Trump Card, The Angel's Descent

Watching the old woman kneel on the ground and beg, Zhou Yi narrowed his eyes and took out the pyramid that sealed the Holy Blood. The wisp of Lilith's divine power on his palm began to churn the moment it approached the pyramid.

The Holy Blood inside churned in response. As soon as Lilith's divine power drew near, the blood surged violently, crashing against the pyramid's four walls like waves. Each time, it was repelled by the light emanating from the Archangel carvings above, only to tremble like a wounded cub before resuming its restless assault.

The Holy Blood only gradually calmed down after Zhou Yi withdrew Lilith's divine power from his hand.

"So, the so-called Holy Blood is nothing more than a tool to bring Lilith back to the mortal world, not some sacred relic that allows vampires to walk in the sun." The scene before him left Zhou Yi disappointed once again. Having both his hopes dashed felt like a bitter pill to swallow.

"Yes, Your Majesty. Vampires are creatures born of the Queen in the Sea of Crimson Blood. Unless they have her protection and blessing, they cannot walk under the sunlight."

The old woman replied to Zhou Yi. She understood what he wanted, and thus subtly hinted at how he could achieve his goal.

Hearing her answer, Zhou Yi narrowed his eyes and asked in a low, heavy voice, "You know what I'm after. If your answer is a lie, you should also know what the consequences will be!"

"I speak only the truth, Your Majesty," the old woman replied, her head bowed low and trembling.

Zhou Yi then stood up. He released Selina, who immediately and obediently stood behind him.

"I can agree to your request. I will help Lilith escape the seal. Now, you can tell me where the seal is!"

Seeing how easily Zhou Yi had agreed to her request, the old woman didn't know whether to be happy or sad. She knew perfectly well that Zhou Yi absolutely had other motives; a mere condition that would allow a vampire to walk in the sunlight could never be enough to satisfy him. But she had no way to stop him, nor could she even negotiate with him.

As a servant, she could not make decisions for her master. Only Lilith herself could decide what price she was willing to pay. This was a transaction between deities like Lilith and Zhou Yi—a realm where mortals could never interfere.

Besides, Lilith had already made up her mind.

Under the orders of the two deities, the old woman had no choice but to obey. She stood up, drew a handful of powder from her pocket, and scattered it before her. The crimson powder faintly glowed in the air before erupting with a sudden *poof*, creating a cloud of smoke.

As the smoke appeared, the old woman began to chant a complex, tongue-twisting spell.

Unlike other witches, this old woman's spell was much shorter, yet far more difficult to recite. Each syllable contained dozens of subtle trills and tonal shifts, making it dizzying to listen to, let alone memorize.

But if the old woman used such a difficult spell, it was because it possessed unique advantages. Not only was it fast, but its effects were profoundly powerful. Before the smoke could even drift away, the spell had already taken hold.

The spell caused the Cloud Smoke to coalesce, swiftly forming an Eye of Mist. This lifelike eye was composed almost entirely of smoke, its central pupil a hazy, shimmering illusion.

"Behold, Your Majesty. This is the site of Her Majesty Lilith's seal!" After completing the spell, the old woman pointed to the center of the pupil. Instantly, a familiar image began to materialize within the light and shadow.

The first image to appear was Victor Manor, where Zhou Yi and his companions currently stood. But the scene quickly shifted, the perspective pulling away from the manor and soaring into the sky, hurtling in a single direction.

Countless buildings, villages, and towns blurred past. Then, vast plains, forests, and mountains swept through the field of vision.

After several minutes, even the mountains vanished. A deep blue sea appeared in the image, signaling that the view had left the shores of the United Kingdom and ventured into the open ocean. And yet, the journey was far from over.

The scenery in his vision blurred into a streak of colors—blue, yellow, gray, green—all blending together. It had reached a point where an ordinary person could only perceive the shifting hues, unable to discern any concrete shapes.

This continued until the image suddenly jolted to a halt, and the vision slowed down abruptly. A clear scene materialized once more: a treacherous mountain range, its entire length shrouded in dense forests. It looked like a ferocious dragon clad in scales of bone and armor of thorns. Deep within the mountains, faintly visible amidst the thickest woods, stood a grim, imposing castle.

While the rest of the range was bathed in sunlight, the castle was plunged into pitch-black darkness, as if it existed in a perpetual night. This stark contrast lent the fortress an aura of profound eeriness.

Seeing the castle shrouded in darkness, Zhou Yi knew he had found his answer. He was now certain that this was Lilith's place of sealing. At the same time, the old woman's magic had pointed here as its final destination.

He immediately extended his hand, and divine power surged down his arm, seeping into the void before him. As he swung his hands open and shut, a pitch-black, completely two-dimensional rift tore open in the air.

This was a space tunnel, created by channeling his divine power through the mysteries of the void he had mastered. With his newfound resolve, Zhou Yi no longer feared losing control of his divinity. He unleashed his power with abandon, effortlessly constructing a Void Rift that should have been almost impossible to create.

The sudden appearance of such a thing left not only Selina but even the six-hundred-year-old woman utterly stunned. They stared warily at the grotesque anomaly, terrified that a single misstep would suck them into its depths.

Zhou Yi watched their fear with amusement.

Without pausing to explain, he grabbed Selina and strode toward the Void Rift he had opened.

Selina was startled by his sudden action and immediately grabbed Zhou Yi's sleeve, trying to stop his reckless behavior. But Zhou Yi simply reached out and pulled her close. Before she could even resist, he had already swept her into his arms and stepped into the Rift.

With a single stride, their figures vanished from the spot.

The old woman frowned as she watched the New God and his servant enter the Void Rift. She had no choice but to follow, though she was far less casual than Zhou Yi. As she walked, she carefully retrieved her materials and chanted an incantation.

A shroud of smoke and a dim, shimmering glow enveloped her like a protective shield. Only then did the old woman muster the courage to step into the Rift.

The moment she entered, the world began to spin. The sensation of vertigo was overwhelming—up and down, left and right, north and south—all concepts of direction and position vanished, leaving her nauseated and dizzy. Even for a woman who had lived six hundred years, this disorientation was unbearable.

Though the journey through the Rift had lasted less than a heartbeat, the old woman's face turned a ghastly green the moment she stepped onto solid ground. She collapsed, crouching and retching.

Selina, who had been shielded by Zhou Yi the entire time, watched in bewilderment. Under his protection, she hadn't felt the disorienting effects the old woman had suffered—or rather, she had arrived in this strange place before she could even register any sensation.

They now stood near the castle they had seen from the Eye of Mist, separated from it by only a single hill. From their vantage point, the castle was visible in the distance.

Zhou Yi frowned as he faced the fortress. He could sense the divine power here, but it was incredibly faint—so faint it was almost gone. *Just how weakened has Lilith become?* the question flashed through his mind.

He was already beginning to worry that a Lilith this frail might no longer be worth rescuing.

Regardless, since they were already here, they had to try. With this thought, Zhou Yi said to Selina, "I've sensed Lilith's location. I'll go ahead—you bring her and follow me!"

Selina nodded. Beside her, the old woman had just managed to suppress her retching and was about to speak when Zhou Yi's figure vanished from her sight.

"Your Majesty..." the old woman murmured to the empty air. After processing the situation, her expression immediately darkened.

She wasn't worried about the castle guards. She was worried about her lord. If she wasn't there to advise and restrain them, and a conflict broke out between Lilith and Zhou Yi, it would be an unforgivable crime for which she could never atone, even in death.

"Hurry! We must catch up. We cannot let them clash," the old woman urged Selina, her voice laced with anxiety.

Selina's expression shifted. She immediately hoisted the old woman onto her shoulders and sprinted toward the castle.

But how could their mortal bodies possibly keep up with Zhou Yi's Super God Speed? By the time they had just started running, Zhou Yi had already reached the heart of the castle, right beside the blood pool where Lilith was sealed.

As he approached the pool, Zhou Yi felt the sealed Holy Blood within the pyramid in his hand stir restlessly. It was more violent than ever before, its surges even cracking the crystal-like walls of the pyramid with a web of fine fissures.

And it wasn't just the Holy Blood that was churning—the pool itself was roiling. The clear water bubbled and churned, sending up thick plumes of steam like a hot spring. The stone bricks lining the edge began to glow with a strange luster, transforming as if they were made of pure gold.

Layers of characters and symbols appeared on these gold bricks. The script resembled Hebrew, but it looked far more ancient and pulsed with an unfathomable power. Zhou Yi could already feel a force, strikingly similar to his own, surging within the gold bricks.

Not only the gold bricks, but even the pyramid in his hand began to change.

The angel carvings upon it started to glow with a brilliant light, and a layer of pure white flames suddenly erupted around the pyramid.

The flames seemed to want to scorch Zhou Yi's palm, but no matter how they surged, they could never achieve this goal. Far from burning him, they couldn't even singe the cuffs of his sleeves.

They burned in vain until the angel statues on the four walls abruptly transformed into radiance, pouring into the gold bricks before him.

A hymn began to echo through the air as a pillar of bright light pierced the eerie night, shining down upon the pool. In the dim light, Zhou Yi could vaguely see a figure floating down from the pillar of light.
