The white void never ended, and sooner to realise Leon was never falling. He was floating amidst the motionless air and vacuum.
He could see the buzzing hexagons, flickering as pixels. Movement was curtained as he kept on jottling around. Leon could sense the reality among the fictional drama. He could sense the dream world restraining him.
A memory drew his vision. Makina and Drasthamus were nestling the baby Leon. He was giggling hard, he couldn't understand the rationale, but maybe it was an innate response his body inherited- simply because he was a baby.
Soon after, the vision was disturbed by a scandalous opening ripped in the hollow void. Numerous hazy black beings, with undefined shape and body flooded the sight. Those were Crikes, scavenging for the Revenant. Some bottled above another, some were slain in their pursuit. Leon gave a sigh and dashed across the mess. Hundreds of bodies flew by, crushing across one another. Leon was dominating the mass number. The black bile- their blood spilled all over the pitch void.
Leon was flying…
The void instead of being a liability, became his strength…
The non-existing gravity made him faster…
He gawked at those soulless bodies, and sliced them apart. One after the other they hung to their judgment.
That's when it struck: another vision…
Drasthamus and Makina were young, holding hands looking at the serene river.
"We might bare another loss" he whispered "the rain poured heavy"
"It's okay…" Makina slipped her hands through his robe "we will overcome this disparity as well"
Drasthamus was pleased by the soft palms rowing across his upper body. He turned around giving his wife a blissful kiss.
"You remember when Grimsa told us about her children" he kissed her again
"What's with the sudden change in topic" Makina got over the man
"For some reason, I feel you know what I meant" he giggled
"So…" she could hear his breath "my husband wants to veil with riddles"
Drasthamus stared at Makina's glowy eyes. They were beautiful, capable enough to allure any being. Tracing her figure- he felt Makina's sharp nose fondling with his lips.
"I guess we are capable enough to raise a child" she whispered as the intimacy grew
Leon was confused about the visions. They quivered and slipped away instantly. But amidst all the chaos, Leon was still the massacre. Ripping off the impotent flesh from severe Crikes, his eyes turned emotionless. They kept coming through the shredded loop.
Leon had to find the portal to his freedom- as Estra suggested…
In that slip moment, another vision blurted out.
"See her little fingers" Makina was in state of Euphoria
Nothing was very clear…
"She came from womb of such a beautiful woman after all" Drasthamus closed in
The vision reflected a girl…
A baby girl trying to reach her father. Her hands almost got a grasp, but fell short.
It was a timelapse…
"Emili, come have your dinner" Drasthamus would command, as soon as he returned from the farm.
She would come running to the table, with Makina serving food. They would chortle together, loving each other's company.
The scene broke again…
Leon was bleeding as the dandelionous whiplashes the Crikes held, slashed him. The number was attaining peak, not bothering to depress. Leon's hands were trembling from constant swings, as they were getting sore.
He lifts his sickle harnessing energy from his paths. A loud dabble crashed the vacuum film, as he dispersed the energy. Thousands were infused in the air by the reckless attack.
But just when he thought he could steal a breath, another cut emerged in the white void. A whole new wave of nemeses strode towards Leon.
"These pests" he thought "they keep coming"
The girl grew…
Just like the photo in the diary…
It was Leon's bigger sister…
She would go help her father in poultry, and then mother at night for dinner. Little brawls never last long. But the smile stayed forever.
But the time changed…
A crystal sculpture, made from Elixir extraction, has fallen to ruins. The town was drenched in water. The rain poured heavily- that extinguished the fire of "Mediv Academy". The academy was prestigious in town, known for its teaching in Elixir arts. The day was when the Crikes attacked. The day everything was devastated…
Drasthamus and Makina rushed to the site…
After all, their precious daughter was part of the academy…
The vanguard wailed,
"Let the parents in"
Every shaken heart rushed into the scene. Drasthamus jottled around as Makina stood in shock, staring at the tormenting blaze. The man searched for his daughter, one by one he investigated the casualties and the survivors.
He couldn't find her…
Makina bursted into tears…
"She was merely six years old," Makina whispered as the officials asked them to leave.
The vanished ones were declared dead, and so was Emili.
Days went by and the couple stood despairing. A dark taint and hope of the return stayed forever… but the girl never came…
Leon got stagnant… he was confused about his reaction. For him those people were good, but not that important. Why would they be when the meeting wasn't long? He swung another attack as the creatures didn't stop…
Another one went by …
And amidst the massacre another crackle happened…
Leon turned around in complete bewilderment. Another gate from Crikes would trap him in a complicated standing. The eyes caught the crackle- it was a portal, levitating at a certain height.
And sooner he knew- it was the exit.
He burst into the mass, flipping off several foes. He was barely moving, giving the last ounce of his energy to reach the portal.
He was reckless…
Several cuts and bruises shade him…
The blood sprawled over the vacuumed void. His eyes battle worn, his hands inflamed, and his spirit tired. The Crikes were trying their best to vanquish the Revenant.
They knew it was their best chance…
It would be the finest of victories…
So they ambushed harder, with vengeance.
But Leon didn't falter, he kept his dead gaze towards the portal.
Memories rushed in…
He never cried for the love that brought him in the Ascensions. He never cared for them.
He now knew- he wasn't the only one with a grievous past. He wasn't the only one bleeding…
Everyone was tired…
Everyone was proclaimed by destiny…
So he leaped, towards his freedom from the void.
"I'm sorry, Mother and Father" he whispered as he floated mid-air
"I'm sorry I never moaned you" the tears shredded as the Crikes held his legs
But they couldn't hold him…
So more of the arrogant beasts piled up…
A chain of hands, holding the other, restrained Leon…
But he felt nothing as his leap wasn't constrained.
He smiled and cried along, as his reach grew closer…
A vivid visualization of Makina and Drasthamus flashed, as everything turned dark…
