Susumu glanced at the four cards in his hand, then looked back at the breathtaking girl across from him. His brow furrowed into a knot.
He truly could not understand how someone this pretty could be playing such a nightmare Deck.
Predaplant was a Fusion-focused strategy. Now Summons were locked, Spells and Traps had also been destroyed—he could do nothing.
After thinking for a moment, he gritted his teeth, pulled a card from his hand, and set it face-down on his Duel Disk.
"I set one monster. Turn end."
A soft hum split the air. A face-down monster card wreathed in a dark-purple sheen appeared on his field.
After making the only move he could, Susumu let out a long sigh and turned to Jiro beside him.
"Sorry. From here on, you're on your own."
Jiro, however, curled his lips into a cold smile and waved it off.
"No problem. When you activated Eradicator Epidemic Virus earlier, you also chained Transaction Rollback…"
He spoke as if reciting scripture, confidence absolute.
"I remember that effect clearly. The 'destroy the declared type' effect lasts for three turns. When the rotation reaches Yusaku's side, his Spells, Traps, and monsters will all be destroyed too. It's a 'hurt you a thousand, hurt ourselves eight hundred' tactic!"
Yusaku paused slightly.
Labrynth frowned as well, her mind racing. From what she remembered, Eradicator Epidemic Virus didn't work like that.
Saya tilted her head, trying hard to recall the exact text.
The players watching, meanwhile, stared at Jiro like he was broken.
Reina folded her arms, sounding exasperated.
"When you listened to the effect, did you only hear the first half?"
She stepped forward, looking at the two across from her.
"After that card resolves, all Spell/Trap cards on the field, the opponent's hand, and the cards the opponent draws for the next three turns must be revealed. Anything of the declared type gets destroyed immediately."
She pointed at them, eyes sharp.
"The ones being affected are you. For the next three turns, the Spells and Traps already in your hands—and any Spells/Traps you draw each turn—will be destroyed automatically. That effect lasts until the turn rotates back to Susumu."
Jiro's pupils shrank. The smile on his face froze solid.
"How is that possible?! Three full turns of targeting the opponent with no cost to yourself?!"
If their Spells and Traps were sealed from the start, how were they supposed to keep dueling?
Jiro slammed his hand onto his Duel Disk.
"Then… my turn. Draw!"
The moment the card slid free, Yusaku lowered his eyes, thought briefly, then snapped a card out decisively.
"I activate the Spell Card: Goblin Biker Grand Entrance!"
"This card lets me add 1 'Goblin' monster from my Deck to my hand. I add Gogogo Goblindbergh!"
A card popped from the Deck slot. Yusaku drew it, deliberately showing it to Jiro and Susumu.
Jiro's brow tightened. He remembered it clearly—his brother had lost to this very card. Back then, it was off this monster that Yusaku summoned that unknown suppression monster.
A chill ran down Jiro's spine. He stared at Yusaku's hands, terrified he was about to repeat the same sequence.
After adding the card to hand, Yusaku didn't hesitate for even a second. He played it immediately.
"I Normal Summon: Gogogo Goblindbergh!"
Light burst across the field. A goblin wearing oversized goggles appeared, piloting a tiny helicopter. The rotors spun fast with a rapid, chattering whir.

Yusaku's voice rose.
"When it's Summoned, I can Special Summon 1 'Gogogo' monster from my hand, Deck, or GY! I Special Summon Gogogo Giant from my Deck!"
A second surge of summoning light detonated across the field. A massive monster of heavy stone plates, shaped like a steel golem, crashed down with a thud.

The moment it hit the field, Yusaku swept his hand and called out.
"Next, I overlay Arianna the Labrynth Servant and Gogogo Goblindbergh as Xyz Materials!"
Two monsters dissolved into streaks of light and shot upward into the Xyz vortex.
A cute girl in an oversized magician's hood descended slowly, silver ribbons fluttering around her—each ribbon tied with tiny chains.

After taking the card, Yusaku turned his gaze to the Graveyard.
"I also activate Gogogo Goblindbergh's effect in the GY."
"If this card is detached from an Xyz Monster to activate that monster's effect, I can add 1 'Dododo' monster from my Deck to my hand."
"It was just detached, so I can use it. I add Dodododo Warrior!"
Jiro swallowed hard.
That familiar rhythm. That familiar line.
His scalp tingled. He was more and more convinced Yusaku was about to summon that monster again.
Susumu's expression darkened too. He had watched Yusaku's previous Duel from start to finish. That suppression field—if he had to face it himself—he wasn't sure he could break it.
"Is he really going to summon it…?"
Susumu shot Jiro a sharp look, voice low and urgent.
"This is your turn against him. Do you have anything in hand that can stop his combo? If he brings that monster out, we're finished!"
Jiro snapped back to himself, glanced at his hand, and quickly pulled out a card.
"I do. I do!"
He immediately threw it down.
"In response to you adding Dodododo Warrior, I activate the effect of Ghost Sister & Spooky Dogwood from my hand!"
"I discard it. From now on, whenever you Special Summon a monster during the Main Phase or Battle Phase, I gain LP equal to that monster's ATK!"
After activating it, both Jiro and Susumu held their breath, staring at Yusaku—terrified he'd chain an effect to negate it.
But Yusaku didn't move.
Relief flooded them.
Jiro burst into ecstatic laughter.
"I knew it! Your luck can't always be that insane—always drawing those damn negation cards like Crossout Designator!"
Susumu folded his arms, sneering.
"Yusaku, are you still going to keep extending? The more you Special Summon, the more LP we gain."
"I refuse to believe those two monsters can lock Normal and Special Summons forever. That effect has to end."
He paused, eyes narrowed.
"I suspect the suppression depends on their Xyz Materials. Once their materials drop below a certain point, the lock weakens—and we can counterattack!"
"Exactly!" Jiro jumped in at once. "To summon those monsters, you need a ton of Special Summons! The more you summon, the higher our LP climbs. Eventually, until your Spell/Trap destruction lock ends, you won't be able to finish us!"
Yusaku looked at Jiro calmly, the corner of his mouth lifting with quiet confidence.
"Your turn is where this Duel ends."
"You will watch your own defeat with your own eyes."
Jiro: "?"
Susumu: "?"
Yusaku immediately played a card without hesitation.
"I activate the Continuous Spell Card: Onomatopickup!"
A golden-tinged sigil formed beneath his feet, the card's intricate patterns flowing as if alive.
"Onomatopickup's effect!"
"As it's activated, I add 1 'Onomat' card from my Deck to my hand, except itself. I add Onomatopaira!"
After taking the card, Yusaku revealed a card in his GY.
"I activate Goblin Biker Grand Entrance's effect."
"I banish it from my GY, then detach 1 Xyz Material from a monster on the field. After that, I can add 1 'Goblin' monster from my GY to my hand."
"I detach Gagagaga Girl's last material!"

"And I add Gogogo Goblindbergh from my GY to my hand!"
Then Yusaku immediately revealed the next card.
"I activate the Spell Card: Onomatopaira!"
"This card lets me send 1 card from my hand to the GY. Then I can add up to 2 monsters total—1 each—from among 'Zubaba', 'Gagaga', 'Gogogo', and 'Dododo' monsters."
He held up the newly recovered card, eyes locked on the two across from him.
"I send Gogogo Goblindbergh to the GY, and I add Gagaga Boost Knight and Zubababa Knight!"
The two cards popped out from the Deck slot and slid into his hand.
Yusaku immediately held up another monster.
"I activate Dodododo Warrior's effect!"
"I send 1 'Dododo' monster from my Deck to the GY. Then I Special Summon this card from my hand."
"If it's Special Summoned by this effect, its Level becomes 4 and its ATK becomes 1800."
"I send Dodododwarf Gogogoglove to the GY, and I Special Summon Dodododo Warrior!"
A blazing red pillar of light erupted. A warrior in heavy dark-gold armor strode onto the field with a massive round shield and a brutal axe.

Yusaku's voice rose sharply.
"I activate Dodododwarf Gogogoglove's effect in the GY!"

A dazzling golden beam shot up from the Graveyard. Another wave of summoning light exploded.
A monster wearing a horned helmet appeared, swinging massive rock-and-iron fists.

Yusaku slapped a card down.
"I Special Summon Zubababa Knight!"
Summoning light flared. A knight in sleek silver armor appeared, wielding twin chainsaw-like blades.

The moment the Level changed, Yusaku raised the card he had just added.

"My field already has Zubababa Knight, so I meet the condition. I Special Summon it!"
A thick black aura gathered. A warrior in spiked black armor emerged slowly, a massive club resting on his shoulder.

PS: Sorry about the self-restriction issue. The structure for the Tag Duel is already planned out, and I need to use the traps and monsters Labrynth sets. I only noticed the issue halfway through writing, and after thinking for a long time today, I really couldn't revise it cleanly. I'm truly sorry.
