The Destroyer's molten wound sealed almost instantly. Liquid-like Uru metal flowed back into place, reshaping with an eerie smoothness. Its faceplate snapped open—another blast charging—but Megatron twisted sideways at the last second, the beam grazing its shoulder and carving a glowing canyon into the desert behind it.

"Armor temperature rising," Sharon reported. "Outer plating holding—but barely."

Ethan didn't blink. "Keep pressure on it. Don't give it time to stabilize."

Outside, Megatron planted its foot into the ground and surged forward again. One plasma blade slashed downward—then the second followed in a rapid cross strike. The blows hammered into the Destroyer's torso, sparks and fragments of glowing metal scattering across the battlefield. Each hit forced the Asgardian weapon backward, its heavy steps cracking the earth beneath it.

But the Destroyer adapted.

Its arms twisted unnaturally, rotating full circle before smashing into Megatron's chest with brutal force. The impact echoed like thunder, sending the massive mech skidding dozens of meters across the sand. Dust exploded into the air as Megatron dug its heels in, engines screaming as it fought to regain balance.

"Impact force is insane," Coulson muttered under his breath.

Ethan's eyes flickered with streams of data. "It's learning our attack rhythm. Switch patterns—randomize strike intervals."

Megatron's optics flashed brighter.

The mech lunged again—but this time its movements became unpredictable. It feinted left, then vanished in a burst of thruster flame and reappeared behind the Destroyer. Both plasma blades drove forward like twin spears, piercing through gaps in the shifting armor. A violent burst of sparks erupted as internal components were exposed.

The Destroyer staggered.

Cracks of glowing energy ran across its frame—but instead of collapsing, its body split apart into shifting segments. Plates rotated, locking into a more aggressive combat form. Its head spun around fully, tracking Megatron from multiple angles at once.

"Regeneration speed increasing," Sharon warned. "Energy levels still dropping though."

"Good," Ethan said quietly. "It's burning itself out."

The Destroyer retaliated with a barrage of close-range strikes—each blow heavy enough to shatter buildings. Megatron blocked with one blade, parried with the other, sparks and shockwaves rippling through the desert with every collision. The two giants moved like titans locked in a brutal dance—metal screaming, sand turning to glass beneath their feet.

Thor watched from afar, looking at Destroyer getting destroyed each passing second.

"…Even Uru is being damaged," he whispered in disbelief.

Back on the battlefield, Megatron grabbed the Destroyer's arm and twisted violently. Joints roared as it slammed the Asgardian weapon into the ground again and again—each impact creating a new crater. Then both plasma blades ignited brighter than before, vibrating at maximum output.

With a massive swing, Megatron cleaved downward—splitting the Destroyer's torso open from shoulder to waist.

For a moment… the battlefield fell still.

The Destroyer's body flickered, struggling to reform—but the damage lingered longer this time. Its movements slowed… just slightly.

Inside the control room, Ethan looked at it calmly and nodded.

"…It's weakening," he said. " Fe more hits and we will destroy it"

Outside, Megatron stepped forward again—each heavy footfall shaking the ground. Its engines roared as the plasma blades burned brighter, humming with lethal energy. The Destroyer tried to stabilize, molten Uru flowing across its damaged torso, but its movements were slower now… heavier.

"Power output from the target is dropping," Sharon reported. "Regeneration efficiency down by thirty percent."

Ethan's voice remained calm. "Good. Keep the pressure constant. Don't give it time to recover."

Megatron surged forward.

The Destroyer fired a massive energy beam from its faceplate—but Megatron crossed its blades in front of its chest. The plasma edges absorbed part of the blast while the mech's thrusters pushed it through the beam like a charging titan. Flames and light exploded around its frame as it closed the distance again.

One blade struck downward—cracking open the Destroyer's shoulder. The second blade followed instantly, cutting across its midsection. Metal fragments scattered across the desert like falling stars.

The Destroyer tried to counterattack, swinging its arm with devastating force—but Megatron caught it mid-strike and twisted sharply. The sound of tearing metal echoed across the battlefield as one of the Destroyer's arms ripped partially free.

Back in town, Darcy covered her mouth. "Okay… that was horrifying… and also kinda awesome."

Thor watched silently, conflict in his eyes. The Destroyer… a weapon of Asgard… was being dismantled piece by piece by a machine from Earth.

On the battlefield, Megatron drove its knee into the Destroyer's chest—forcing it onto one leg. Both plasma blades rose high… then came down in a devastating X-shaped strike. The impact sent a shockwave rippling outward, flattening sand dunes and cracking the earth beneath them.

The Destroyer collapsed onto its back.

Its body flickered violently, armor plates shifting without coordination. Energy leaked from its core in unstable bursts. It tried to rise… but failed.

"Core instability detected," Sharon said quickly. "It's reaching critical failure."

Ethan's eyes narrowed slightly. "Pull Megatron back ten meters. Prepare for possible detonation."

The giant mech stepped backward just as the Destroyer's body began to glow from within. Cracks of blazing light spread across its armor—then suddenly… everything froze.

For a brief second… the energy faded.

The Destroyer's head lowered slightly… its movements stopping completely—as if something far away had withdrawn control.

The massive Asgardian weapon went still… standing lifeless in the middle of the battlefield… smoke rising from its broken frame while silence fell across the desert.

"Dismantle it and secure it," Ethan said calmly. Sharon immediately relayed the command, and Megatron moved forward. Its chainsaw-like plasma blades ignited again and began cutting through the Destroyer's limbs piece by piece.

On the ground, the Arasaka guards received new instructions through their comms.

"We just got a new order," the chief guard said. "Secure the alien robot and prepare it for transport back to Arasaka Tower."

The others nodded.

"Well then… entertainment's over. Back to work," another guard muttered.

They all tapped their wrist devices, and within seconds their suits activated—high-tech armor forming around their bodies as they prepared for recovery operations.
