Some elders exchanged glances, shocked at his unwavering question and expression.
Finally one of them shrugged. "Fine."
"I'll take that bet too."
Another added, "Yes. Let's see how this plays out."
Not all of them agreed, but several elders had bet against Linda. Those who didn't bet didn't support Linda either, only Uncle Sundev did.
The thing is, uncle Sundev bet on her because he thought in a crucial test like this, only her bloodline can weaken the craziest of beastbabies.
The bet was made but none of them noticed one important detail. Down in the arena, Elder Franco stood among the other contestants and audiences overseeing the round.
He had a slow smirk on his face and his eyes were fixed on Linda.
"You think you can win this round?" His smile grew colder. "No one will win this round except Fedora, the daughter of my tribe leader."
