Athena stood there, her gaze still locked on the rubble. One single move, and she was surely taking him out in that instant.
There was no movement from the rubble for a long while, and then he blasted out like a rocket, covered in flames from head to toe and with a rage that had spilled over.
"I'll kill you!" he roared as he shot down, headed for her at a speed that caused a sonic boom, and even then Athena did not look scared or worried. She simply composed herself, raised one hand, her Chaos Eyes and her Third Eye working together as they unleashed an even more terrifying blast. It slammed into the man again. He tried to press through it, but his already wounded body was far too broken to take it.
He was blasted back while his entire body oozed blood. He slammed hard into the ground, rolled, and stopped moving. He was not dead, but he would surely not be attacking again anytime soon.
