My head was burning as if it was on fire, I even felt like quite out of balance, I almost fell on the ground, but a soft hand stretched forward towards me and helped me to stay on my feat .
I looked at the girl who was struggling to keep me standing, due to the fact that my whole body was releasing a strange heat all of a sudden, as if the weird Feather in the front seemed to be aware of that as well, I saw the net where the energy blades were gathered on began to glimmer slightly, whatever that was heading towards us wasn't a good thing .
And it was the worst timing as well, I couldn't help but say with a tired gasps :
" You should find somewhere to hide, you should be able to stay safe .
The girl took a few seconds to grasp what I was saying as it seem to be quite shocking, but she still gritted her teeth to strengthen her resolve, then began to pull me with her towards the edges of where that weird Feather was laying in, around the corners, there were a few hidden gaps that could shield us if something were to happen .
But as she pulled me towards the corners and just as we were about to find a place to rest in for a while, the barrage of attacks came and it was the most intense wave I had seen as well, my eyes were feeling quite heavy, seeing that more than a dozen of blades were already locking on us .
The only thing that I was able to do was for me to push the girl, that was beginning to get burned by the increase in the heat of my body, which hadn't stopped increasing all this time, a few skin burns, but I decided this was the best course of action, I can still use the force in that seed to protect myself, but the same can't be said about the girl .
Picking the right moment, I pushed her with all the strength I was able to muster towards the edges around where that Green Feather was, the girl turned to me and her eyes had a mix of emotions in them, regret, guilt, bewilderment, horror, worry, all kinds of emotions were being shown on her face, she was about to say something, but with the same tired gasps, I said :
" Don't worry, I will be..... .
As I was about to finish saying that I'm going to be fine, an energy blade that had bounced off the walls, become a horizontal blade and came from behind me and slashed my neck, the madness of that moment was in the fact that I hadn't actually died from this strong energy blade, the restless power that was in me began to calm down .
I was still sent forward towards the Green Feather, my body for some reason felt good at this happening, it was as if the heat inside my body was finally being cooled down, I felt like this and even though my whole body was aching as I got hit, this feeling hadn't dissipated in the slightest .
I didn't understand what was going on nor did I get any time to dwell on the reason, I sensed that my sleepiness began to finally wear off, after that happened I saw that the path I was pushed towards was filled with energy blades that were already locked on me, urging the force in the seed to cover me up, I felt the sleepiness assaulting me once more, I was shocked at this happening .
Taking another Azure Wood Pill, I already lost count of how many exactly have I took, but I was certain that sooner or later I would completely run out of those pills at this rate, I was in a huge predicament, my injuries healed as quick as before, but there was a huge problem .
My body starting to act off again and the force in the seed that I was commanding through the use of Mental Energy was unable to continue running and providing protection as steady as before, could this sleepiness be related to my mental energy being consumed, but even if that was the case, then what could possibly be the reason to why my body is heating up .
And what about what had just taken place a few seconds ago, madness, was how I described the thought that was beginning to form in my mind, seeing the energy blade shallow cut on my neck, I couldn't help but suck a breath of cold air as I saw that faint line disappearing .
I stopped using my force seed and allowed the energy to hit my Flesh body, that was only protected by Blood Qi, but it was almost unprotected, that energy in those blade seemed to bypass my Blood Qi line of defense as if it didn't exist at all, then I was once again hit by another blade this time it was my chest that got to be slightly relieved from the heat and all that was going on .
A deeper wound appeared on my chest and this time I was pushed backwards, just in time for another energy blade to land on my back, again solving most of the heat there and giving me a weird sense of comfort .
I was no longer able to hold down my agonizing pain, the Mental Energy seemed to have left me to deal with the pain on my own, I was gritting my teeth before to try and held my cries down, but that wasn't possible anymore, a cry escaped from my mouth and I found myself being thrown forward once again, then I saw myself falling into a nest of energy blades coming at me from all kind of direction .
Recalling how I urged the 3 methods from before to run simultaneously, this time I was trying to do the same thing, but using three different methods, Solid Rock Fist, Ferocious Blood Refinement, Gliding Swallow .
This was nothing but my own drastic measure after contemplating with the last grain of clear thinking that I had before succumbing to the agonizing pain, I felt that my body was being tempered by those attacks that I was being forced to bear, my eyes was able to see that my whole body was now cooled down, the defense and strength of my Flesh seemed to have increased as well .
This was what made me certain that even though I now looked to be completely disheveled and seemed to be in the brink of death, my whole body felt more revitalized than ever before, except for one place, the heat subsided in my whole body .
For the first time, I seemed to have come in contact with a bottleneck, the only place that didn't seem to cool down, was my head, that's why I urged the three techniques, I was thinking that since this was the closest thing I got to a bottleneck, then in this current situation all I needed to do was to push forward without any care about anything else .
My body was already filled with cuts, bruises, energy, my clothes were already dyed red, my face could be said to be the only part that seemed to make me look human anymore, the onslaught that I was forced to bear with lasted for only a few minutes, but to me, it felt like I had spent a few decades suffering like this .
My senses had completely shut down, I had started running the three methods to try and see what would happen if I forced the Tempering Energy to circulate in my neck and all the way up to my brain, it was either this or getting hit by one of those energy blades, at least that was the plan .
But then as if fate seemed to have other plans for me, I suddenly felt as if something crashed into my head and was trying to split it open, then I felt my whole body seemed to share the same feeling, I couldn't help but open my eyes and I saw that I was currently sealed in what seem to an energy crystal made of those energy blades entanglement with each other .
My whole body felt as if it being pricked by needles, I find myself shaking my head involuntarily from the pain, but as if I was deemed as an enemy that must be killed by that green feather, I felt my whole body inside and out being destroyed .
I couldn't recall anything else after that, other than my head seemed to have began finally cooling down and as if I was driven by instinct, I urged the force seed to engulf my body again, all this happened in a few seconds, as for what happened after that, I had no clue, all I knew was that I woke up and my body was being pressed down on by something or someone .
The energy blades were still flying in the air, I was able to see that clearly after I opened my eyes, my whole body felt heavy, but it wasn't due to the weight, it was a psychological feeling that followed the increase of strength, I felt as if my whole body was new to me .
Shifting my gaze towards the person laying on my chest, I was able to sense the wetness that was on my chest, that silly girl seemed to have poured tears for me, I couldn't help but pat her on the back to try and calm her down, but another cold wet sensation assaulted my senses .
It forced me to be jolted back to reality, I raised my shaky hands and saw that it was covered in blood, the girl's body was also becoming cold at an alarming rate, she, she, she was severely injured and dying, because of me .
As I realized this, the happiness that I was starting to feel was instantly swept away, even thought my body felt foreign to me and I was finding difficulty in controlling it as efficiently as before, I still forced myself to get up with her still laying motionless in my arms, I tried to call her, but to no avail .
Checking her pulse, I understood that she seemed to have got severely injured at some point and her Blood Qi the only thing that was keeping her alive, was now being rabidly consumed, in less than 5 minutes, she would most likely be nothing but a corpse .
At this realization, a mix of anger and disbelief suddenly bubbled inside me, I was angry at myself for her current state, believing it to be my fault, filled with disbelief at the fact that this girl actually went and did such a dangerous thing for a person she barely know for a few hours .
She got this seriously injured because she was the one who brought me from the depth of hell to life again, we were currently in the safe area I had pushed her to before, why was she this reckless, I couldn't understand her motives at all, all I was currently able to think of was finding a way to heal her .
Moving my Blood Qi inside my body, I put her gently on the ground, then I started using my Blood Qi while doing the stances of that method that Li Fu had taught me, thinking that it should 100 percent able to heal her, finishing with the preparations, the swirling energy like flame appeared on my hand again, I apologized to the girl for touching her body without consent mentally and directly let the swirling energy come into contact with her exposed skin .
The girl had a grave energy that ran down all the way on her back, a sword blade that should have been mine to bear, it created a vertical wound that had already gushed a huge and a life-threatening amount of blood .
The method that had never failed me before, happen to do so in this dire moment, the notifications rang in my mind, indicated that the method was a success, she was beginning to heal, but there were one problem, my Blood Qi was depleted before the wound can completely heal, if that was all, I should have still be able to heal her .
But, The second my Blood Qi would be depleted and the method stopped working, a burst of Green Energy would appear from the wound and as if not given permission for the wound to heal, the parts I had healed would be wounded again .
That had repeated for 5 times already, using Blood Qi Recovery Pills, I even started burning my Blood Qi like I had seen those guards from before do, in hope of at least trying to make the method more effective, but this was all for naught, I would get the same results every, the method helped her with the recovery of her Blood Qi, but that was all it did, extending the time she have left and that was all .
I was beginning to fall into despair, the desperate situation in front of me was all my doing, this was what I was thinking, if I had warned her about interfering with anything that had happened to me, maybe she would have listened and didn't do something as dangerous as this .
I was suddenly get flashes of some memories in those flashes, I recalled her smile, her stubbornness, her resolve, her feeding me that Blood Qi recovery pill, those scenes kept flashing on my mind, then as if sensing my thoughts, the girl who should be already at the death doorstep, suddenly clenched my hand and brought it to her heart, I was about to advice her not to make any irrational moves .
But without giving me even the slightest bit of a chance to say anything, she raised her head from my embrace and sealed both of our mouths with one another, I was completely stunned by this kind of development, but I was still able to taste the taste of Blood in her throat, this was an indication of her Internal Organs being damaged or maybe even destroyed .
Weirdly enough, there were also a weird taste to this kiss we shared, one that I had only one memory of, it was the same taste I recalled having with Zi Xue, like as if a bomb exploded in my mind, I was completely dumbstruck and unable to think of anything at all .

Seeing that she was the one who broke free first, I heard her say this with my mouth still opened as before, she smiled brilliantly and seemed quite happy, even though her eyes had become watery and tears were already rolling down on her cheeks, but she still looked like as if she was the happiest girl in the world, seeing her like this and even though my mind raced with thoughts, I still nodded at her .

In the same second that she said this, I had already prepared myself to accept her request no matter how outrageous it sound, so I nodded my head, just as I finished nodding and was completely taken off guard by her words, I suddenly had an inspiration looking at the blade energy and the green Feather around us while thinking to myself, since what I lack was energy, then should I just .
Wait, what did she say just now, I was already began to implement the crazy plan I had in mind, but then I was hit by what her words seemed to mean and while covering both myself and her in my embrace with the strange force from the seed, I couldn't help but turn my eyes towards her .

Instead I focused on acquiring that Green Feather first, then anything else after is up to discussion, but still feeling a bit uneasy about the way she was looking at me, I couldn't help but say :
" Rest assured, I promise you, wait for me in the next life .
Those words were said just to make her be at ease, I was at loss of what might happen after we go out, increasing the force around us to cover some more distance away from my body, acting like a shield of sort, the Energy Blades attacks sunk into this newfound barrier and were absorbed by it without any waves like a needle falling into the sea .
I kept feeling energy coursing through my body, I was tempted to try and see if this time I might succeed, but the second I did maybe I would completely lose her and I too might die here, what exactly was that thing .
Marching forward, the pressure kept on increasing more and more, quickening my steps, I reached the core area where that Green Feather was and surprisingly as I actually manged to touch it with my hand .
I suddenly got propelled backwards by the huge outburst of energy it contained, but luckily the blades and the green web had all disappeared, there was no longer a need for me to be cautious against those things anymore .
But I didn't feel relieved in the slightest, the energy in that thing was the only way to save the girl in my embrace, if I'm unable to get it, no, I must get it .
Take another step and you are dead .
