In the world of the living, it was midnight. The wind was cold, but the view was bright across the bridge. Taejoon stood staring at the ring he held, lost in thought.
"Maybe I should propose to him before the coronation... but I don't want to rush things. I want to make everything special for Han."
He sighed, running his hands through his hair. "I'll wait till after the coronation, then I'll propose to him. But how should I do it? I've never done it before... Han is my first."
Taejoon chuckled nervously, getting down on one knee in front of the imaginary Han. He cleared his throat, holding out the ring.
"Han, I don't know if it's too early, but I don't want to wait any longer. I love you too much to lose you. So, will you make me the happiest man on earth by getting married to me?"
He shook his head, standing up. "No, that's not good. Let me try again."
"Han, words aren't enough to describe how much I love you. I'll do whatever it takes to make you happy, and I promise I'll love you forever. Han, will you marry me?"
Silence followed, broken only by a dog's bark in the distance.
Taejoon muttered, "Stupid dog," but a smile played on his lips. "That's what I'll say... but what if he says no?"
He shook his head, confidence returning. "No, Han loves me too much to say no."
Taejoon gazed out at the city view, the ring glimmering in the moonlight.
Taejoon's eyes sparkled as he took out his phone, his thumb hovering over Han's contact. He sighed, tucking it back into his pocket.
Memories flooded his mind – the first time he saw Han on that interview, long ago. The awkwardness, the spark of curiosity. Then, the infamous mistaken kiss, thinking Han was his ex... 😊 Han's adorable reactions, the way he'd blush.
Taejoon's smile grew wider as he recalled teasing Han, pushing his buttons just to see that fiery spark in his eyes. The way Han would try to play it cool, but end up laughing anyway.
He chuckled, lost in the nostalgia. Those moments, they were the ones that made his heart skip a beat. The ones that made him realize – Han was it.
Taejoon's expression softened, his gaze drifting off into the night. He couldn't wait to see Han, to be with him. The coronation, the proposal... it was all gonna be perfect.
