Chapter 259 - 259: Darkness Fails, Poison Emerges

A violent fit of coughing erupted from the debris beneath them.

"Cough cough cough cough!"

Rolan's eyes narrowed slightly.

So he still had consciousness left? His resilience against powerful blows was not exaggerated.

Even someone like Kaido would have lost consciousness after such a kick, yet Blackbeard Teach had endured it.

It brought to mind the original story where Teach remained defiant even after withstanding Whitebeard's attacks.

His missing teeth and battered features further proved how ridiculously durable Teach's body was.

Stepping aside, Rolan saw Teach sprawled among the ruins, blood covering him, breathing heavily and looking utterly ragged.

"Pain It hurts… so much damn Rolan!"

Teach felt as though every bone in his body had been shattered. Rolan's strike had come perilously close to ending him.

He turned his head to glare up at Rolan, pure hatred in his eyes.

"Cough cough… Rolan… this is all because of you!"

Struggling, he propped himself against a fractured wall.

Nearby, Luffy, Jinbe, and Hannyabal had also been knocked down as the floor crumbled beneath them.

Jinbe rose to his feet, mouth agape wide enough to swallow an entire fruit.

"This This This… is a bit too powerful isn't it"

The devastation before them rivaled the force of Whitebeard himself. From the moment Rolan had struck, the sheer aura he unleashed showed that his strength far exceeded what he had already demonstrated.

This was the terrifying reality of the World's Strongest Man.

"Hey Rolan you could at least say something!" Luffy shouted, pushing aside a chunk of shattered floor.

Rolan lifted a hand in a relaxed wave.

"Oh my bad I didn't realize it would turn out like this I didn't expect Impel Down's build quality to be so poor."

Jinbe's eyes went wide — inwardly he thought Impel Down was the most fortified prison in the world, its floors legendary for strength. And now Rolan broke it, then complained about quality.

Hannyabal, seeing the situation, wailed dramatically.

"It's over it's over it's over Now my promotion to Warden is hopeless Humph humph If only I could blame Magellan then maybe that Warden position would still be mine."

He had no intention of running; the Straw Hat and the blue‑skinned Fish‑Man beside him were powerful beyond imagination. Escape was not possible — so he stood aside, hoping to slow things down.

Teach coughed and panted, voice uneven.

"Zehahaha Rolan You're a Devil Fruit user too aren't you"

As he spoke he extended his right hand, palm facing Rolan.

Rolan understood instantly.

Alright Let him feel true despair.

"Dark Water!"

As Blackbeard spoke a miniature black hole manifested in his open palm.

Rolan crossed his arms and watched as though observing a monkey poke at something dangerous.

"Be swallowed by darkness," Blackbeard growled, his face smeared with blood, eyes fierce and feral.

But Rolan just stood there.

"…"

Seriously What kind of odd spell name was that It was far too dramatic.

"Nani!!!"

Blackbeard recoiled in stunned confusion at seeing Rolan continue to stand motionless.

"Why Why does it have no effect on you!"

His voice cracked with disbelief.

This was unprecedented. Nearly every Devil Fruit user he had ever encountered could not resist this move.

Even Golden Emperor Ace had been defeated because of it.

Yet this attack didn't affect Rolan in the slightest.

Blackbeard wondered if Rolan's Devil Fruit had somehow expired or malfunctioned.

Rolan spoke with that indifferent, icelike tone.

"I know you're not going to give up."

He began walking toward Blackbeard.

Through bloodshot eyes Blackbeard felt a familiar helplessness — similar to the sense he'd felt facing Whitebeard.

When Rolan reached him he extended a hand.

Blackbeard blinked — was this a sign of reconciliation?

"Zehahahahaha I don't need your pity Rolan!"

Rolan shook his head.

"I just want you to die with understanding."

Upon hearing that Blackbeard's grip tightened.

He reached out and grasped Rolan's hand, activating his Devil Fruit ability.

"Hey Rolan His ability is really strange be careful!" Luffy warned urgently.

Luffy had just lost his Devil Fruit powers from touching Blackbeard's hand and was shocked to see Rolan intentionally touch him now.

Rolan ignored Luffy, a slight curve forming on his lips.

He extended his left hand and activated his own Devil Fruit ability. A crackling ball of electrical energy appeared in his palm.

Blackbeard watched with disbelief — he recognized it immediately as Rolan's Electromagnetic Fruit ability.

"How is this possible How can you still use Devil Fruit abilities"

At first Blackbeard thought Rolan was merely stabilizing himself against the Dark‑Dark Fruit pull.

Now it was clear Blackbeard's ability had absolutely no effect on Rolan.

That shattered Blackbeard's worldview entirely.

Rolan spoke with casual finality.

"Alright Rest in peace."

Just then a voice echoed sharply.

"Rolan I didn't expect you'd be here!!!"

Everyone turned toward the voice and saw a colossal figure appear nearby.

Five meters tall with massive black wings sprouting from his back and demon‑like horns on his head — the unmistakable presence of Magellan, current Warden of Impel Down.

"Hydra!"

As Magellan's voice fell, venom dripped from his body like living smoke.

Three giant dragon‑shaped forms rose, formed from venom, slithering toward Rolan and his group.

"Warden I'm right here!" Hannyabal cried out urgently seeing the scene unfold.

Magellan was a Venom‑Venom Fruit user, infamous across the seas for poison ability unmatched by any other.

A touch of his venom could kill ordinary people instantly. If any of those giant dragon‑shapes made contact, even the strongest among them would suffer.

Magellan looked down at his surroundings and spotted Hannyabal standing with Luffy and Jinbe.

"Hannyabal What are you doing here" he asked with a hint of confusion.

Although Hannyabal's injuries had been healed, his body still bore bloodstains — proof of how badly he had been wounded.

Yet Magellan knew Hannyabal well.

Though the Vice‑Warden often talked about replacing Magellan as Warden, he wasn't a villain. Deep down he had a sense of justice and would never side with the enemy willingly.

"There's no other choice I'll give you an antidote later It might sting a bit but just hold on," Magellan said as the Hydra creatures advanced.

The venom dragons could no longer be withdrawn. If they harmed Hannyabal — an antidote would have to suffice.
