Summer brought the second continental conference, and with it, heightened expectations. The first conference had introduced restoration to the broader healing community. This second conference would demonstrate whether continental coordination could sustain momentum and deliver on its promises.
Aria prepared extensively. The keynote presentation needed to show measurable progress without overstating achievements. Acknowledge ongoing challenges without appearing defeated by them. Inspire continued participation without demanding unsustainable commitment.
"You are overthinking this," Petra observed, watching Aria revise the presentation for perhaps the twentieth time.
"I am being thorough," Aria corrected.
"You are being anxious," Petra said. "The work speaks for itself. Present the evidence, acknowledge the challenges, invite continued collaboration. You do not need perfect rhetoric. You need honest communication."
