The dust had finally settled. The high-tension, chakra-drenched atmosphere of the preliminaries was officially over, replaced by the exhausted silence of the survivors. It was 11 AM, and the ten winners of the qualifiers were now standing in the center of the arena.
They looked like a motley crew of elites, battered but still standing, facing down the Serious presence of Tsunade and the Exam Proctors.
Tsunade scanned the line of Genin with a sharp, discerning eye before turning her attention away from the kids.
"Anko, explain the finals," she commanded, her voice echoing off the stone walls.
"Yes , Tsunade-sama," Anko replied, stepping forward with that signature smirk. She took a breath and began the standard rundown. "The Final Round is where each of you will get the chance to show off your full arsenal in front of a massive audience, representing your village and earning the hon—"
Naruto tuned her out. His mind was drifting back to the medical wing, specifically to Lee. After he'd cut off the Genjutsu, the Green Beast had dropped into unconsciousness. Naruto wasn't entirely sure if it was the accumulation of injuries, the sheer mental strain of the battle, or just his body finally caving in, but he felt a strange sense of optimism regardless.
(No matter what....... it's basically impossible for someone like Rock Lee to fall into despair,)
Naruto thought, a small worried smile tugging at his lips. He cast his worries aside, knowing Lee's stubborn nature better than anyone. One thing was for certain: the guy was going to come back twice as strong as before.
( .....maybe he already woke up and is doing push-ups or something )
Shifting his focus, Naruto glanced down the line of winners, completely disregarding the fact that Anko and Tsunade were starting to notice his blatant lack of attention.
( Seven from the Leaf, two from the Sand, and one from the Sound,)
Naruto noted, his tactical brain whirring. Looking at the line-up, he realized that against a monster like Gaara, he was probably the only one who could truly hold the line. Even with their current skillsets, Sasuke and Neji would likely hit a wall against the desert's sand.
(I wonder if Sasuke is still going to learn the Chidori? Or if he'll even get the chance to fight Gaara at all.....)
Naruto's gaze eventually drifted back to Anko, who was still chattering away. His eyes lingered—not on her words, but on the woman herself. Between her bold outfit and, well, her very prominent "assets," she was quite the distraction.
(...Damn, talk about eyecandy,) Naruto mused. Giving in to his curiosity, he fully activated his eye skills, focusing his vision with surgical precision.
( Hehe, I can actually see the tips through the mesh...)
WHAM.
Suddenly, a wave of suffocating Killing Intent washed over the arena like a cold tidal wave, snapping Naruto out of his " Focus " He moved his head stiffly, feeling the hairs on his neck stand up, only to find both Tsunade and Anko staring him down with expressions that promised a slow death.
Even The entire arena had gone deathly silent.
"What exactly are you looking at, brat?" Anko asked, her voice dropping to a dangerous, silky low.
Naruto didn't miss a beat and he replied instantly with a straight face:
"I swear, Anko-nee, they looked at ME first."
"..."
"..."
"..."
The silence that followed was legendary. Tsunade slapped her forehead with enough force to leave a mark. The other exam proctors suddenly found the ceiling very interesting. Asuma looked at Naruto with a mixture of horror and genuine religious awe, like he'd just seen a man walk into a lion's den and try to pet the lion. Kakashi, meanwhile, buried his face even deeper into his book, trying his best to look like he was absolutely not associated with this child.
The other Genin just looked confused. They had been so focused on the exam details that they hadn't even processed Naruto's " research "
Anko's eye twitched violently, but considering the setting, she just rolled her eyes and let out a huff. Being who she was, she was well aware of her own charms and the effect of her outfit , but she made a mental note to get back at the blonde brat later.
"Anyway," Anko continued, trying to regain her professional composure. "Now you guys are going to draw lots. We're deciding the pairings for the finals, which take place one month from now."
Gekko Hayate stepped forward, coughing into his hand as he carried a square wooden box containing ten paper chits. He walked toward the Genin as Anko finished her instructions.
"Take only one paper," Anko said. "This decides your fate in the finals."
One by one, the Genin reached in. Naruto grabbed his, unfolding the small slip of paper with a calm flick of his wrist.
"Alright, speak your numbers aloud," Anko commanded.
"3."
"7."
"1."
"4."
"8."
"9."
"2."
"5."
"10."
As the numbers were tallied and cross-referenced, Anko announced the final brackets for the Chunin Exam Finals:
Uchiha Sasuke vs. Gaara
Nara Shikamaru vs. Temari
Uzumaki Naruto vs. Dosu
Hyuga Hinata vs. Hyuga Neji
Yamanaka Ino vs. Aburame Shino
As the names were called out, the atmosphere shifted. The Genin began sizing each other up, sparks flying between future opponents. Naruto, however, just stood there, his mind going completely blank.
(Wait a second... why isn't it me vs. Gaara?) Naruto thought, genuinely puzzled. (Didn't I feed them enough intel to make sure they put Jinchūriki vs. Jinchūriki? What is the village leadership actually thinking?)
He was 90% sure the elders would want him to handle the Sand's weapon, but this outcome was a total curveball. Dosu, standing nearby, noticed Naruto's faraway look. Seeing that his opponent wasn't even giving him a glance, the Sound Genin felt a surge of cold fury.
(Arrogant blonde........ I'll show you what happens when you underestimate me,) Dosu seethed internally.
Naruto didn't even notice the glare. He was still lost in thought until a heavy hand landed on his injured shoulder.
"Ugh!"
He turned his head to see Tsunade standing there. She was smiling, but it was that specific, twisted kind of smile that usually meant a lot of physical therapy or a very long lecture was incoming.
"Let's go," she said.
"Huh?? Where?"
"The infirmary, where else?" Tsunade replied, her grip tightening on Naruto's collar as she began dragging him away from the arena like a kid being hauled off to the principal's office.
Naruto didn't even bother fighting it. He just let himself be dragged along as Tsunade made a beeline for the medical wing. While the other Genin started to head their own separate ways or regroup with their teams, three Kunoichi didn't waste a single second. Ino, Hinata, and Karin followed right behind Naruto and Tsunade without a moment's delay.
The boys who were left behind just shrugged, eventually settling down in a quiet corner of the tower to decompress with their senseis.
It wasn't long before Naruto was back in the familiar, sterile embrace of the infirmary. But the moment they crossed the threshold, Tsunade let him go and moved straight toward Choji's bed.
Naruto felt a prickle of worry seeing the look on her face and also Choji's condition , but he knew better than to disturb her when she was in full-blown doctor mode. He kept his distance, giving her the space she needed to work.
( ........maybe I shouldn't have spoken to Choji at that time .........I hope Choji is ok )
With Tsunade focused On choji , Naruto began to wander through the ward. He stopped by Lee's bed and saw him still out cold, looking far too still for someone usually so full of energy.
Looking at Lee's pale face made Naruto feel a deep sense of discomfort, so he kept moving. The infirmary was packed—not just with the participants from the preliminaries, but with all the injured Genin who'd been chewed up and spat out by the Forest of Death.

Eventually, Naruto came across another bed. Gian Goda was lying there, unconscious, his entire chest wrapped in thick layers of bandages. Sitting right beside him was Shizuka. Her hand was in a plaster cast, and she was staring at the floor, looking completely drained and overwhelmed with worry.

Naruto didn't say anything at first. He just stepped up behind the distracted girl and placed a steady hand on her shoulder. Shizuka shivered and whipped her head around. When she saw it was Naruto, the dam finally broke. The one-handed girl didn't say a word; she just buried her face in the one-handed boy's chest, clinging to him like a lifeline.
Naruto looked down at her and let out a long, quiet sigh. She wasn't crying, and she wasn't making any excuses for what happened. She just held him in total silence. Naruto knew exactly what was going on in her head—she was blaming herself for everything, replaying her choices over and over.
"Failure is the mother of success, Shizuka," Naruto spoke softly, his voice grounding her. "Just make sure that something like this doesn't repeat itself."
Shizuka didn't answer, she just tightened her grip on his shirt. Naruto leaned back and patted her back, offering what comfort he could. His eyes wandered, and he noticed Ino, Hinata, and Karin standing nearby, watching the scene.
There was no jealousy in their eyes this time—only genuine worry for their friends. Naruto caught their gaze and gave them a small, reassuring nod. Seeing that, the girls began to disperse .
Ino moved over to Choji's side, where Tsunade was still intensely focused. Karin walked over to Naruto and Shizuka, silently embracing the girl from the other side to let her know she wasn't alone.
Meanwhile, Naruto's senses picked up Hinata moving toward Tenten, where she started talking in that soft, gentle tone of hers.
Watching everyone come together like this made Naruto sigh yet again. His mind was already drifting away from the hospital smell and toward the horizon. He knew what was coming.
(......What exactly is going to happen in one month from now?)
Naruto worried for the future , not just the situation 30 days from now on but also the 4th war in 2-3 years .
Soon Naruto's eyes focused on his status screen as e watched his latest Reward

I also liked others Skills too but they can either be implementaed in shippuden or I need to brainstorm for the sign-in locations . Regardless I will try to implement them somehow .
Well , Now that the fights are over , I need to brainstorm again for The toad .
I really don't like toads though , what about you guys ??
