Serena Stanton let out a startled cry by reflex, her whole body crashing into a broad, solid chest, the familiar scent overwhelming her senses.
Adrian Shaw reached back to close the door, his heavy-lidded eyes lazily admiring her slightly flustered expression.
"No one saw us. You don't need to be so nervous."
Serena looked up, her face puzzled. "You're not nearsighted, so why are you wearing glasses?"
Adrian lowered his head naturally, leaning in closer to her. "Take them off for me."
Serena hesitated for a second, but still raised her hand, carefully removing the rimless glasses from his tall, handsome nose.
The instant the glasses were gone, Adrian lowered his head and pressed his lips to hers.
His large, hot palm easily encircled her slender waist, gradually tightening, pulling her firmly into his arms, not allowing refusal.
It seemed that, compared to the force and passion of a kiss, a woman cared more about the chemistry she had with the one she was kissing.
