Damian watched the taxi drive away before carrying the sobbing little girl to the car and placing her in the child seat in the back.
"Stop crying." Seeing the little girl was hiccuping from crying, Damian gently wiped away her tears with his hand.
"Sob sob..." The little girl continued crying, murmuring, "Mommy is a big dummy... big dummy..."
"Mommy was upset, that's why she got angry. Talia, can you understand Mommy?" Damian said softly. "How about from now on, Talia and Daddy protect Mommy together, so she won't be upset again, okay?"
The little girl looked at him with tears in her eyes. Although she was still sad, she missed her mommy even more, so she nodded while crying, "Okay."
"Our Talia is so great." Damian smiled, "So can Talia stay with Daddy tonight?"
"Okay." The little girl wiped her tears with the back of her hand and started negotiating, "Daddy, I don't want to go to class tomorrow. Can I stay with you all the time?"
