"Evelyn." Caden Lockwood's voice came through the phone, "I'll be right there."
Hearing Caden Lockwood's voice, Evelyn Morgan's legs went weak, and her eyes trembled with uncertainty, not daring to look at Lily Thorne.
There was no other way, she could only get into the car.
Sitting next to Lily Thorne, Evelyn felt as if her whole body was frozen, and she couldn't help but shiver.
"Having a sense of caution is a good thing." Lily Thorne glanced around at Evelyn Morgan, "But since it's been confirmed that I'm indeed Caden's mother, shouldn't you greet me?"
Evelyn's breath caught, and looking at Lily, her lips curled awkwardly, and it took her a while to squeeze out a word: "Mom."
"That's more like it." Lily's tone was indifferent, "It's also my fault, I should have come to see you earlier. It's quite a failure for a daughter-in-law not to know her mother-in-law until now."
As she spoke, Lily brushed her hair from her forehead and tucked it behind her ear.
