"What?" Lily looked at Caden Lockwood, asking casually, "Are you worried I'll bully her?"
"My wife is so cute, she's likable everywhere, how could Mom ever bully her?" Caden said softly, "I'm just curious about what Mom and her daughter-in-law will talk about when they meet for the first time."
Evelyn silently admired Caden in her heart.
With his words, Lily's face bloomed into a smile; all the gloom had vanished.
"My son!" Lily chuckled softly, "The thing I have no regrets about in my life is marrying your dad and having you."
Caden's lips curled slightly as he lowered his gaze to Evelyn, seeing the uneasiness in her eyes, he involuntarily tightened her shoulder.
"Now that my son is here, the evil mother-in-law should leave." Lily sighed deeply, "Daughter-in-law, what I said to you today wasn't meant for you to agree with, but for you to do, understand?"
After speaking, Lily glanced at Caden again before getting up and walking out of the cafe.
