Evelyn was annoyed and raised her voice, "You still dare to mention conjugal duties?"
"We've already done it, so why not mention it?" Caden spoke arrogantly.
He instinctively moved closer to Evelyn, pulling at his wound, and took a sharp breath, with his face turning pale just as it had started to regain some color.
"Are you okay!" Evelyn panicked, "I told you not to move around! Why won't you listen? Let me see the wound, is it bleeding? Should I get the doctor? I..."
"I'm fine," Caden said softly, "It's just a bit painful, but lying still is fine, the bed is soft."
Evelyn examined Caden closely, and seeing no intense pain on his face, she was slightly relieved.
"So why did you move around?" Evelyn scolded, "Do you think you're still a three-year-old? Can't you take responsibility for your own body?"
"As long as I'm responsible for you," Caden replied casually, "By the same token, you have to be responsible for me."
