Cecilia Lynch looked at Julian Keaton, and Mrs. Keaton's words still echoed in her ears. It felt as if an invisible hand tightly gripped her heart, making her feel as though she was suffocating from the pain.
"Cece!" Julian Keaton raised his voice, "Tell me! What exactly did my mom say to you? Don't be misled by her words. It's me who wants to marry you, it's me who wants to be with you. What she says holds no value!"
"I don't know what to do." Tears streamed down Cecilia's face uncontrollably, "Your mom said... if I don't leave you, she'll tell my mom about me being your lover. My mom is already in poor health, and if she finds out I sold my body to help treat her illness, it will kill her!"
