Rei and Sylvie were panicking internally as they sat in the library where Eunji had booked them a private room to discuss. "You think we are in trouble?" Sylvie asked Rei quietly while the only thing he responded with was shaking his head, afraid that he'll get caught answering her in the middle if the sorceress paid attention to it.
"I'll just have a couple of questions and y'all be good to go." The strawberry blonde said, which made the two stiffened up at her demeanor. "I'm Eunji Jeong. Special Class Sorcerer from the Assault Division of Kamigami Academy." She introduced herself while showing her badge and id to them.
"We are so done." The duo thought to themselves as they wondered why a high ranking sorcerer is out to question them.
Other people would see it as normal but to those who are aware of the rankings with sorcerers, they see things differently as sorcerers are on another level of ranking compared to their policemen and authorities.
"W-What w-would you like to ask about?" Rei said with a stutter, feeling nervous as Eunji showed them a picture of what seemed to be a golden marble. "Have you two seen something like this?" She asked while Rei and Sylvie thought hard before shaking their heads in disapproval.
Eunji was disappointed upon receiving their answers but the male appeared to have a question. "Any questions would you like to ask?" She asked which Rei nodded his head before she allowed him to shoot out his question. "There's a lot of golden marble that describes this picture but is there anything special or worth mentioning about it?"
She was surprised at his question since she only showed the picture rather than asking people anything about it so she decided to answer his question truthfully. "Yes. The golden marble is an ancient cursed relic from history. They are rumored to be possessed with immeasurable power that gives out divine and malevolent energy which is why I am looking for it to confiscate it in order to avoid troubles in the long run." Her explanation gave Rei a satisfaction before responding back.
"If this is what you're looking for then I might have a clue about it." The two females looked to be confused before he continued. "My father gave me a marble through our family generations, I never bother to carry it since it felt like an omen whenever I had it near me. If this bad omen is similar to your description of that marble you're looking for then it's definitely that." He said before Eunji nodded her head, "Do you still have it?" She asked while Rei nodded his head. "Then lead the way." Eunji said as Rei and Sylvie could only agree with her before leaving the room, not before returning back the cards used for the library's private room.

Rei tried his best to look for the marble that his dad had given to him during his childhood. He knew that the marble was something important since his father had scolded him a lot for not placing it safe since it was a family heritage in which he now knew why it was very important.
"I could've sworn I hid it here…" he thought to himself while Eunji was looking around his place along with Sylvie who was already used to his apartment as she was grabbing a drink. "Found it yet?" The magenta haired female called out after taking a cup of water to drink.
"Nope. No one knows where I hid it since I always hide it carefully with things I'm not comfortable with." Rei responded as he searched under the bed to see if there was anything in it.
Eunji, on the other hand, appeared to be serious despite her blank face. "This presence… There's no doubt about it…" Her eyes glowing a bright blue, indicating her prowess usage while searching around the area. "This is the relic that I'm looking for" She said to herself as she could feel the divine and malevolent energy all over the room from how the passive of her prowess was able to pick up the residue of the energy around them.
"Found it!" Rei called out as Eunji looked over to him, the energy emitting from the small locked box that he's holding gave out a strong sensation to the energy residue that she had been picking up on for a while. "Can you open it?" She asked as he complied before opening it with a key upon getting the small key from the drawer. There it was, the golden marble that Eunji was looking for as she observed the energy within the relic.
"Thank you for your cooperation. This is no doubt the ancient relic that I'm looking for." Eunji as she immediately took out the marble before wrapping it around with a talisman that Sylvie and Rei had noticed.
They were about to go their separate ways since Eunji had gotten what she needed before going back until a strong presence appeared around them. "Is it just me or am I feeling something uneasy?" Sylvie said as her body started to tremble from instincts while Eunji had drawn her katana out of the sheath.
"Stay behind me." Eunji commanded as Rei and Sylvie stood near her, activating their prowess as they didn't wanna know what could happen to them if they were ambushed by the strong presence that they were feeling. Rei sensed something above them due to the passive ability of his prowess, he looked up and regretted what he saw.
"Treat?"
The chilling aura and creepy voice similar to the paranormal movies that Rei had watched sent shivers down his spine. The figure above had multiple limbs of a reptile, eyes similar to a spider, and the head of a lion while having a humanoid body.
"Above us!" Rei shouted as Eunji immediately looked up before swinging the blade infused with a blue flame similar to the colour of her glowing eyes , slicing a limb as the entity screeched in agony which made them cover their ears before its other limbs tried to reach out.
Rei noticed the fluctuation of the creatures energy as he immediately grabbed the two females by the collar to dodge although he wasn't lucky as the entity had already captured him with a tail that squeezed tightly around him which made him scream and cough out blood.
"Fuck…" he thought to himself as his eyes locked with the entity. "Is this how I'm gonna die?"
Sylvie freezes time as she struggles to halt the creature's movement. "Damnit… Is it that strong?!" She gritted her teeth before diving in to pull Rei away as what remained was the ripped tail after time resumed once again. "Leave now!" Eunji commanded as she went back into the fight by exchanging blows with the entity, her katana clashing with the entity's hardened limbs.
The duo left the premises with Rei hanging over Sylvie due to the internal injuries, his ribs fractured which made it even harder for him to move despite the magenta haired girl's help. He couldn't breath properly or make a proper move as it only slowed them down if it weren't for the strawberry blonde sorceress giving them time to escape in the hallway of the building.
Rei felt a spike of mana behind them as he pushed Sylvie to the side with all he got before collapsing to the floor which made his injuries worse. "Fuck!" He cussed to himself as he looked back to see Eunji struggling to fight the entity which was now double the size and the power that he had felt before.
His mind was telling him not to risk anything and to leave immediately for survival but his guts however said the opposite. "Help her." Rei didn't understand why his guts were telling him to help the sorceress instead of escaping along with Sylvie. He looked over to Sylvie who appeared to be frozen up, the fear in her eyes made him go numb.

Eunji didn't expect to struggle against the entity that grew stronger. "This thing was a B-rank entity since I was able to slice one of its limbs a moment ago…" She dodged their limbs as her blade tried to slice it off but only to bounce off immediately. "Now I can't cut it off…" Eunji immediately retreated upon seeing how the entity was catching up to her, "It's almost the same rank as me now."
She was about to try attacking it if it weren't for the tail that she barely noticed about to strike her blind spot. "Shit!" Eunji gritted her teeth as she was thrown against the wall behind her which shattered at her impact. "My blade would've snapped already if it weren't for my mana coating around it…"
Her eyes widened upon seeing the marble with the torn up talisman rolling on the floor. She tried to get it back but had to focus on the entity's ongoing attack as it grew more limbs to keep her occupied. "No! It's gonna take it!" Eunji gritted her teeth as she was surprised at who grabbed it immediately.

He had no thoughts on what he just did. Rei was surprised as the rest of them due to the adrenaline running in his veins. The sharp pain of his broken ribs seemingly gone and numb while he pushed himself to run as fast as possible to secure the marble.
There was one thing that immediately clicked into his mind. A voice of a man he encountered once. "A sorcerer? You have a good heart kid, despite your rough personality but I'm sure you'll be a great sorcerer!"
Rei's adrenaline started to wear off as he could feel the pain flowing through his body. "She said that this marble contains immeasurable power…" He thought to himself, trying to think ways of unlocking its power. "Fuck it…"
Eunji screamed, "DON'T DO IT!"
Rei squeezed with all his might to shatter the marble. Upon breaking the marble, all of its divine and malevolent energy flooded that area which made everyone freeze up including Sylvie who just got her bearings back when she realised Rei had run off despite the latter's injuries.
"No… He may survive the process of gaining power from it but it's a 0.01 percent chance compared to what I heard of…" Eunji thought to herself before her face turned into a grim expression.

All three were frozen from the powerful presence that engulfed Rei. The visible change was the aura it emitted, instead of Rei's red hue it was a golden yellow hue along with unique markings on his face. In addition, there was an extra set of eyes above and below his main eyes. The upper set had crimson red while the lower set had depravity blue however the main ones had golden yellow orbs. Each pupil resembled a fox-like slit but the main ones had a bright ring around the iris.
"How many years has passed by?" A deep voice emitted from Rei which started Sylvie and Eunji due to not hearing his original voice.
"That's-" Eunji clenched tightly on her katana.
Her thoughts are right with an ancient being residing within the relic. Now that the sealed relic that contained its power is broken, the ancient being has incarnated in a vessel.
"The Fallen…."
