Rei felt a bit uneasy as the event was wrapping up the results of who were ranked first, second and third throughout the event. After all, he had always avoided the spotlight back then especially when he played as a 'blank' in the previous year.
"It's weird…" He expressed to Sylvie as they were standing next to each other at the podium on the stage.
The crowd were just clapping to ease the headmaster's speech as the magenta haired girl rolled her eyes, "Yeah. Especially when they are now pretending to like you rather than them liking you from before." She stated as Rei didn't argue since she was right.
Most people were either gonna treat him like a plague or fear him, their sense of respect gone down the drain all because of his status as he'll only be seen as nothing more than the vessel of the 'fallen'.
The headmaster was still giving a speech before the next statement had put every doubt on Rei's overall performance gone.
"Rei Nishimura has shown us today that you can reach the potential of your prowess and skills without the help of any relics nor special training to improve yourself."
Most of the crowd wanted to scream but couldn't seem to do so especially when the headmaster had an aura that seemed to have taken a hold of their voices.
"If you're questioning his status being his prowess. No. I'm afraid that you misunderstood his skills. It's simply that he's better than us as he's been using his prowess before even becoming the vessel of the 'fallen'."
Another batch of the crowd lost their patience as they started berating the headmaster and Rei for such atrocious favoritism until one of the staff and Eunji herself had to intervene while giving their own statement.
"The aura of Rei's spiritual energy throughout the match is not the one that I've dealt with before. The one that I felt when witnessing the incarnation of the 'fallen' from that day had spoken out pure madness that was between divinity and darkness itself." Eunji stated as she handed the microphone to the other staff next to her.
The staff next to her accepted the microphone before speaking into it as their tone was rather annoyed and frustrated, "If y'all can't tell the difference between a container and the thing contained within it. Leave the academy. Those who are here just to watch their favourites, leave immediately as this is not a place for your entertainment." Their eyes glowing bright which sent shivers down to the people listening to their statement before continuing.
"Rei Nishimura had earned his rights to stay at Kamigami Academy before even becoming the vessel of the 'fallen', especially when his records were brought out when scouting for future students who had potential to surpass our current generation."
Their statement gave both a lecture and respect to the people who were no longer doubting Rei's abilities although his very status still made them fear him.
Once the staff was finished speaking, they immediately handed the microphone to the headmaster before leaving the stage although Eunji stayed behind which surprised the crowd especially when the female was supposedly cold, mean and strict on her own benefits.
"Eunji Jeong. Would you like to do the honours for handing them their medals?" The headmaster asked before Eunji nodded her head as she grabbed the medals, handing the bronze medal to Keitaro as Haru was disqualified due to the latter's petty loss and not wanting to stand near the two.
"Keitaro Sasaki. Congratulations for ending up in the third place of this fifth year's sports event. You've performed well but I would advise you to start training to the maximum without holding yourself back further." The strawberry blonde sorceress said as Keitaro nodded his head before Eunji went to the magenta haired girl.
"Sylvie Seraphim." Eunji called out while handing the silver medal to her, "You've done an amazing job for showing people whether using an overwhelming power is important when fighting as you've done your best to gauge your enemy before taking everything into account. Please keep up the great work."
Sylvie nodded her head as she held the silver medal, "I will do my best, senior Eunji." The magenta haired girl said in which the strawberry blonde sorceress just patted her shoulder before heading to Rei.
"Rei Nishimura." The male shuddered as he was tense before receiving the golden medal.
"You have given a lot of opinions about your performance today. Whether they are positive or not, you have still performed the very best despite the odds against you. Do not give up very easily and keep doing what you do best."
Her words made Rei at ease as he nodded his head, "I will. Senior Eunji." Rei bowed his head in respect for her in which Eunji patted his head before heading off next to the headmaster.

After the event, they were all dismissed as the atmosphere was gone since almost most of the people had left from not wanting to associate in the area where Rei stood. It was complete isolation for him although his friends were there for him.
"That's freaky… Hearing another voice is definitely something I wouldn't want to have as well…" Hinata stated as they were talking about Rei's experience with the being within him.
"Yup. Can't even have my own privacy with this axxhat within me…" Rei sighed before all of them were suddenly caught off guard when a mouth formed in his cheek. "It's not my fault if those thoughts of yours are loud."
Erika looked to be disgusted probably from the metamorphosis-like ability while Haruki just screeched upon hearing the voice then Hinata immediately looked at it with no emotions in her face although she was panicking internally.
"Oh buzz off. You know what I'm talking about." Rei said before the mouth grinned before letting out some devious statements that left them all speechless.
"Oh you mean when you're alone with the magenta freaky girl? Not my fault if you two make it entertaining for me to watch further…"
Rei immediately slapped his hand over the mouth, blushing red although it was futile since another one formed on the same hand.
"You know. I wanna see the strawberry blonde gal again. She's a beauty. I wonder if she's breedable."
The statement had left them all speechless as they all thought in unison. "Is this guy talking about senior Eunji of all people?"

Meanwhile, Eunji sneezed all of the sudden while changing her clothes in her dorm room as Rinka just looked at her. "The hxll? You caught a cold or something?" The short orange brown haired girl asked while the strawberry blonde shook her head.
"Nope. If I did, then I wouldn't have gone out today." Eunji said in which Rinka responded back, "Touché"
It was a quiet room since both were busy with doing their own things. The orange brown hair girl was busy playing over her prowess by manifesting small knives, daggers or something sharp while the latter was reading a book with a suggestive title.
The silence was immediately broken when Rinka asked Eunji, "Is it true? That the Fallen's presence was madness?"
Eunji nodded her head before responding back, "Yeah. There were a lot of things that I could feel at that time but with every encounter that we've done through our academic years in the assault division then this one is beyond what we've dealt with."
Her statement made Rinka sighed as she exclaimed the amount of things that they'll have to go through for next week due to Rei's status being revealed in which Eunji groaned due to the paperwork that went over her mind because of the orange haired girl's ranting.
"Let's just pray to whoever will listen to us and let it be a normal day without troubles." The strawberry blonde said as Rinka made no argument, just agreeing with her instantly.

Rei was drying himself off after his long shower especially when he was in a deep thought while cleaning himself. His mind wondered if his situation would worsen or improve although he already knew the answer would be in between since he still had a couple of people that cared for him despite his status.
He never had questioned what the ancient being desired especially when incarnated within him but planned not to since Rei rather not hear the latter responding with more statements that would leave him speechless.
"When are you gonna meet her again? I wanna see the hot chick again."
Rei groaned as he wondered how in the world he's gonna be able to block such thoughts and statements since it was already too much for him from the previous month especially when he found out how his own thoughts would be immediately read by the ancient being instantly.
"Shut up." Rei uttered as he tried his best to relax despite the constant nagging of the entity within him.
