William was placed into custody while authority officials and a couple from the investigation and assault unit were in the area to watch how the case would go. "So, who's interrogating him?" Tengen asked as he wondered if he'll get the chance to interrogate him due to his connection with the suspect that he's trying to hide.
"I'll interrogate him." Eunji said as the white haired male was about to offer himself as backup until the strawberry blonde halted him. "I'm going in with senior Jinwoo."
Tengen was frustrated but had to obey as he allowed the two to get in, although he was a bit nervous from what Eunji could find if William broke down so he had a precaution. A precaution if William had decided to snitch on him as the white haired male grinned internally.
"Enjoy the little clue you have left…" The male thought to himself before he excused him by explaining to the authorities that he has more important manners to deal with such as training the golden child of the Sasaki Clan which he was allowed to leave early.

"Mr. William. Please note that everything you say can and will be used against you in the state of the law. You have the right to call for an attorney but if you don't have one then we'll provide you one." Eunji said in a serious manner which made the latter flinch while Jinwoo intensified the atmosphere by flaring his spiritual energy up before diminishing it.
"A-Alright. I-I'll talk! Just don't hurt me!" William whimpered as Eunji and Jinwoo nodded their heads to each other.
"Let's get started then. Where were you during the day before the tragic incident that took the lives of Hinata Hayasaka, Erika Delilah and Haruki Nakamura?"
She didn't waste any time to drop the bombshell as the latter reacted way too quickly at the names that were listed out. "I-I was at the academy! I was h-handling paperwork that my a-assistant didn't finish!" He stated which Eunji saw as a lie especially with one of the prowess that she had copied last year's internship with the investigation unit.
"Lie. The truth." She demanded as William sweat profusely, "Be glad I'm the one interrogating you."
William was utterly confused before a sharp blade was pointed close to the bridge of his nose. "If I were the one interrogating you, I would've taken a limb or a part of you already." Jinwoo said with bloodlust in his eyes which frightened him.
"Ok! I was forging the documents for the supposedly scouting mission!" He confessed as Eunji nodded her head to Jinwoo as the male continued to interrogate him.
"Why did you do it then?" He asked but this time, pressing the sharp end near the male's throat. "Because I wanted the vessel dead!" William shouted before continuing further, "How could I allow someone like him to live when he harbours the ancient being within him?!"
Eunji was dumbfounded by his statement as she wondered what else she was gonna hear from such a confession until the next thing he said had shocked the both of them.
"I only went with the plan!"
Jinwoo immediately got serious as he leaned closer to the male, gripping William by his hair. "Plan?! Who's plan?!' He demanded while his shadow drew limbs to hold William aggressively, gripping tightly as the male whimpered.
William was whimpering as Eunji detected his abnormal heart rate, finding it suspicious as she joined the interrogation. "You better answer now before I leave the room alone with you two." She threatened as the male cried and whimpered, not wanting to be left out with the Korean male that had his shadows already flickering and ready to strangle him.
"I can't tell you! I'm gonna die!" William exclaimed as Eunji immediately went to scan his body with her prowess, seeing a slight difference with the colour signature of their soul as she confirmed it to Jinwoo.
"Can't tell us? Then, we can just search through your memory." Jinwoo said as Eunji had nodded her head to one of her co-workers from the assault unit to bring in the person that she had told them before the interrogation had started.

Keon arrived at the room, his face determined to at least contribute to the case especially that had involved Rei and Sylvie since he wanted to help the two move on from their pain by arresting the mastermind.
"Officer Keon of the private investigation department. Thank you for allowing me to have this moment of your time." He said as Jinwoo shook hands with him while Eunji gave him a nod as they both went in, ready to break William to get the answers.
Keon removed his gloves as he told the two to back away from him slightly, after all, his prowess involves a direct skin contact. The faint yellow color glowed on William's eyes in contrast to his usual ones as the latter cried and screamed.
The red haired male flinched as he searched through William's mind, looking for any memory or anything that was related to the incident that took the three lives of those Kamigami Academy students.
He managed to find the memory of the statement of how William tried to lure one of the academy's students that graduated last year, storing the memory into his head as he manifested a video tape out of his hand before handing it to the two sorcerers as he continued to do his work.
Keon continued to search until he saw a particular memory. William appeared to be talking with a tall individual although the other party was just a silhouette and their voices were muffled but he could read what they were talking based on the movement of their lips.
"But sir? Wouldn't it be risky if it fails?"
"Nope. It would be great, after all, you're doing the easy job that I can't do it, so consider it as advance payment since I'll be handling the rest myself."
Keon knew this one was important as he tried to reshape the memory to its original state rather than the blurry one that he was seeing. "What the hell?" The red haired male exclaimed as the memory immediately vanished through his grasp as what he saw was red.

Eunji's passive ability had immediately detected something wrong as she quickly grabbed Keon while Jinwoo sensed William's shadow flickering. "Shxt!" The Korean male gritted his teeth as he couldn't do anything to stabilize William's condition as the latter had died instantly while blood spilled out of his mouth and eyes.
"Keon. What happened?" Eunji asked as Keon was holding his head in pain.
"Someone blocked me out of his memories before terminating his entire mind which led to this." The red haired uttered weakly, still weak as he looked at the mess.
"Although I can only make this as our only evidence for now." He said as he handed out another video tape that he managed to create before the whole ordeal happened. "It's a copy so that I'll send the later files to the two of you and the investigation unit." He whispered to them, knowing what was the secrecy that the investigation unit, Jinwoo and Eunji had due to the headmaster.
"Alright. Thank you for your statement. You're free to go. I'll escort you back to your unit." Eunji said as she motioned for Keon to follow her while Jinwoo stayed behind to report everything except for some parts to the authorities.

Jinwoo immediately followed up to check Eunji as the female had reassured him that she was fine while escorting Keon back to his office before they said their goodbyes to each other as the latter went to the headmaster's office upon arriving at the academy.
"Jinwoo? What brings you here? I thought you would've gone back to Korea after this." Sho said while the Korean male chuckled before explaining his reasoning for the sudden meeting.
"I see. So, the investigation is gonna be cold again because of William dying." Sho uttered weakly before shaking his head, "Anyways, how's Rei?" He asked which made Jinwoo sighed as he started talking.
"He's fine but his mentality changed a lot compared to what you had described from Eunji's statement. Y'all say he's kind and reserved but easy to be provoked and has anger issues due to his trauma. However, the one I'm seeing is entirely different."
Sho was intrigued by his statement as he asked Jinwoo to elaborate and provide some examples for him to completely understand what he meant by different.
"If you were to choose to save someone, would you save a crippled person or a person who's a single parent."
The headmaster raised an eyebrow, debating whether it was a test but decided to answer it. "Third option. Both."
Jinwoo lets out a deep sigh.
"He didn't chose any of the choices or made one but stated something that worries me completely."
The headmaster was interested although what Jinwoo said next made him worried for Rei's development.
"Why waste time with taking care of small things when there are bigger things to deal with. That's what he said…"
Sho was in distressed as he wondered what could be do to try persuading Rei out of that mentality, not wanting to see the young man to go down such path.
