Eunji Jeong. One of the current strongest sorcerers below Neon in the academy alongside her senior, Jinwoo who had graduated at the top and is currently an independent underground sorcerer who had taken in one of her juniors as an intern for work studies. She was the second strongest of Kamigami Academy after Jinwoo's graduation which held the reputation being positive until Neon became at the top that had led to some of their reputation being tarnished with his foul personality and behaviour.
It was true that Neon was stronger than her but she didn't see him as the strongest due to him always picking on to the bottom of the food chain or anyone below him whenever he wanted. His greed and arrogance always prioritised his own satisfaction until now.
Rei Nishimura was someone she saw as an individual who had a lot of potential to either reach her level or at least go higher than her or Neon if possible. However, the recent incident from earlier had exceeded her expectations. The black haired male was now the strongest after defeating both Haru, Neon, then a couple of mid-tiers all at the same time without any trouble especially with the shadow technique and that unknown technique that her passive ability wasn't able to detect nor understand until the last second when reaching its execution on them.
"Senior. I checked the files that were sent to us from one of the branches in Ethereal regarding a rogue sorcerer who is wanted for murder and has taken the name 'serpent'." Rei called out as the strawberry blonde was broken out of her deep thoughts.
"O-Oh… Is it requesting us to pursue them?" She asked while being baffled at her quick stuttering. "Yeah. They're asking us to apprehend them if possible since the individual already has an A rank grade." Rei said as Eunji nodded her head before finishing her other paperwork and reading the files that the male had given to her according to his own work.
"Alright. Prepare what you need. You and I will handle this case. We'll label it as an A-rank pursuit of 'serpent' for now. Send some documents to the headmaster to get it approved while adding Rinka or any available sorcerers in the academy with at least A or B ranking as backup." Eunji said as the black haired male nodded his head before leaving her office.
The strawberry blonde started to tidy up her office since she knew that more paperwork would arrive if she didn't clean it up and would make her even more stressed at arranging everything first. Eunji went to the locker room of the assault division in the female section as she went on to change clothes.
From wearing the academy's uniform to wearing the assault division uniform that was customised to her liking. Inside was her simple and infused turtleneck shirt that had both warming, cooking and armour effects. Her formal black pants were now replaced with black combat trousers that had lots of packets to put her medical supplies or emergency items in when needed. Then lastly, her black combat boots and black coat that reached almost to her ankles.
Others saw it as something intimidating but Rinka and Jinwoo saw it cute since there was another person who wore almost the same thing once they've checked the archives of kamigami academy alumni and Ethereal's history books for their research from the previous year.
The Black Reaper who wore almost the same thing except for the polo shirt and white necktie then the formal pants and shoes along with the rounded glasses that they wore. It looked impractical but proved themselves to be capable of fighting regarding what they were wearing.
Eunji found herself to be flustered upon remembering the memory of it as she immediately calmed herself down before finally finishing her preparation after grabbing her usual katana that she had used from the past two years when Jinwoo had gifted it to her after their first mission. Then grabbing a couple of serrated curved daggers as she placed it behind her, covering it with her coat while she carried her katana at her side as usual.
She went out of the room before heading off to the main lobby of the assault division room as the strawberry blonde had almost seen a pure carbon copy of the black reaper. Rei had almost worn the same outfit as them except for the added hood then the red necktie of the polo shirt then the black formal pants that had white stripes all over it along with the modified black formal dress boots.
"Senior. Shall we proceed? The headmaster has given us permission to go now with the added warrant and authority for us." Rei called out as Eunji was brought out of her thoughts before heading off with him to go with their pursuit of the wanted individual.

Everything was going too quickly and well as Rei had already apprehend one of the wanted individual's accomplices which surprised Eunji since the latter had captured them with the same shadow technique that she had seen him use before.
"Should we ask him right here or hand him in to the enforcers for proper interrogation?" Rei asked while adjusting his glasses with his middle finger and ring finger at the bridge of his nose.
"We should but if we're able to get any information now then it would be nice." Eunji answered as the black haired male nodded his head before copying Eunji's ice manipulation technique that was active while combining it with his shadow, forming a tendril with a claw that had both shadow and ice properties.
"Start talking. Or I'll make this trip both to the medic and enforcer worse than you expected." Rei said before forming more tendrils that poked sharply at the captured individual sides, "Now then, where is 'serpent'?" He asked as his eyes glowed bright which intimidated them due how they perceived him as death itself.
Eunji was surprised with how Rei was handling the situation as she immediately panicked upon sensing a spike of spiritual energy being used by the captured individual. "Rei-"Before she could even warn him, the one who was captured was the one who sustained multiple injuries as cuts appeared all over their body while suspended in the air prior to Rei's shadow tendrils that were wrapped around their left foot.
"If I were you, I would think with my brain rather than risking everything." Rei said as he glared at the individual before another tendril formed with a sharp claw this time prior to the ice manipulation that he combined into it, intensifying the pressure onto them.
Eunji could sense the amount of bloodlust behind his voice and the way how he stared down at the individual. It was scary and creepy especially when his eyes showed an unnatural amount of authority. The strawberry blonde immediately tensed up when more spiritual energy signatures appeared around the distance of the passive ability of her prowess.
Rei seemed to notice it way earlier than her due to his spiritual energy already building up as the shadow below them immediately sprouted multiple limbs with sharp claws then creepy eyes and mouth forming which made the strawberry blonde shudder in disgust before each limb was immediately covered in ice crystal.
Each limb immediately went to try reaching the individuals who immediately appeared out of thin air, trying their best to avoid being caught except they were caught off guard when another tendril formed directly below them before managing to cut of a limb or two. Each individual immediately halted and kneel before a powerful presence appeared which caught Rei and Eunji's attention.
"Would you look at that! Does my brethren need help!" A squeaky voice then followed up with a deep one, "Young Serpent. Shall I punish them for touching what's yours?"
Rei and Eunji noticed a short male with blue hair then another male with black and white hair. The short male had a muscular build while the latter had a decent build required for a versatile sorcerer to be powerful and agile.
The short male squinted a bit before pointing at Rei, "Woah! Gregory! Look! We hit the jackpot!" The shortie exclaimed with a sadistic demeanor which Rei noted to be a sign of insanity.
"I guess. But they are not enough to beat me, Yukine." The other male stated as Eunji noted for the latter to be in a different category of ranking.
"S rank? No. Possibly an SS rank." Eunji thought to herself as she drew out her katana out of its sheath, immediately infusing it with her spiritual energy.
"Senior Eunji. Answer me honestly." Rei called out as the sorceress looked at him, "Is it enough for us to beat that short guy?"
Eunji raised an eyebrow but responded back, "Possibly. They're probably a 0.1 higher than us but we can manage it through time. The other one however is a different category."
"I see…" Rei uttered before a powerful spiritual energy flooded the area, surprising Eunji as she noticed his left eye had turned into a bright shade or blue similar to the extra eyes of the 'Fallen' while she also felt a slight boost in her overall stats that increased slightly.
"Shall we proceed then?" Rei asked in a sadistic manner before unsheathing his sickle on each side.
The duo on the opposite side could only smirk, "Let's dance…"
"Shadow Reaper…"
