WG: DRAGON KNIGHTS(Spoilers)

The Spear of the Geoise. 200 Strong.

WEAPON MASTERY · DUAL HAKI · CUSTOM HAKI · CELESTIAL DRAGON COMBAT · DUAL PROFESSION

CLASSIFIED — DRAGON KNIGHT ACCESS AND ABOVE

I. WHAT DRAGON KNIGHTS ARE

Dragon Knights are the Geoise's personal weapons made human — or something close to it. They are not selected from the general military population. They are not former Admirals who were recruited. They are built. The process takes decades and begins before the candidate knows they are a candidate.

The Geoise, through the LorBearers and a select tier of Dragon Knight overseers, identify individuals of exceptional potential across the 72 Kings' territories and occasionally beyond. These candidates are introduced to a development pipeline never named to them. Doors open. Teachers appear. Opportunities arise. By the time they understand what they are being shaped into, they are already most of the way there.

A Dragon Knight who completes the full pipeline is a being with no equivalent in the public world. Admirals are compared to them the way cartographers are compared to navigators — adjacent, but operating at entirely different altitudes.

CURRENT STRENGTH: 200 ACTIVE DRAGON KNIGHTS

Pipeline mortality rate: approximately 40% do not complete induction.

Average age at full induction: variable — some inducted at 80 years, some at 300+.

Oldest active Dragon Knight: Groata Veilcrown — 800+ years in continuous service.

II. THE FIVE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS1. Weapon Mastery

Not proficiency. Not expertise. Mastery — defined as the state in which the weapon is no longer a tool but an extension of the body's intent. The candidate must demonstrate a level that would qualify them as a world-recognized grandmaster in any public context. Accepted classes include all conventional categories: blade, polearm, projectile, blunt, chain-and-reach, and body-as-weapon. Exotic classes are reviewed case-by-case.

2. Two Forms of Haki — Mastered

Standard Haki development produces specialists. Most elite combatants master one form and develop competence in a second. Dragon Knights must have mastered two forms at the absolute ceiling for a non-Secret-Elder level being. Armament at this level crystallizes — passive armor requiring no concentration, active output capable of stopping Admiral-level attacks without full effort. Observation at mastery extends to a predictive state. Conqueror's at mastery is rare among Dragon Knights and marks those candidates for accelerated Vanguard placement.

3. Custom Specialized Haki Form

This eliminates the most candidates. Standard Haki is a system. Custom Haki is a language — personal, unique, emergent only when a practitioner has pushed their standard Haki so far and so long that it begins to express something specific to them. The Geoise have catalogued over sixty distinct Custom Haki forms across the 200. No two are identical. The full registry is held only in the Tower Complex — understanding this density of Custom Haki development would give a researcher an effective map of what Haki evolution at the ceiling is capable of. That document does not leave the Tower.

4. Celestial Dragon Combat Style — Mastery

The oldest formalized fighting tradition the World Government maintains. Developed by the first generation of world nobles around one premise: the person you are fighting has already lost. They simply do not know it yet. The style is built on three pillars:

Absolute Pressure — every technique imposes psychological and physical weight simultaneously. The practitioner does not merely attack. They declare. Each movement communicates inevitability.Dominion Stepping — a footwork philosophy that treats the entire battlefield as territory already owned. The practitioner moves as if allowing the opponent to remain in their space for a duration they choose.Execution Form — the formal, deliberate act that signals the fight is over — and that it was over before it began. Dragon Knights who achieve full Execution Form mastery can end conflicts without a weapon being drawn, through presence alone.

Dragon Knights integrate this as a foundation beneath their weapon mastery tradition. The result looks like personal style from outside but operates on a different philosophical axis than anything the public-world combatant context produces.

5. Two Non-Combat Professions — Mastered

This surprises candidates more than any other requirement. Dragon Knights are not soldiers. The Geoise do not need soldiers — they have armies. They need beings capable of functioning across the full range of civilizational operation: strategy, science, administration, art, engineering, espionage, law, trade. The two professions must be distinct and developed to the level of a recognized public expert. A Dragon Knight who is also a certified naval engineer and a practicing linguist with fluency in twelve languages is not unusual. These skills are operationally used.

III. ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

The 200 are organized by assignment — each Knight tied to one or more of the Geoise's operational priorities. There is no formal chain of command running through them as a group. Within the 200, tier distinctions are not officially designated but universally understood:

INTERNAL TIER STRUCTURE (UNOFFICIAL)

VANGUARD — Top 20. Assigned to the most critical Geoise operations. Personal to specific Secret Elders.

COMMAND — Knights 21–60. Senior operatives. May lead sub-groups of lower-tier Knights.

FIELD — Knights 61–150. Primary operational force. Deployable on any Geoise mission.

RESERVE — Knights 151–200. Fully qualified. Held for simultaneous multi-theater operations.

Dragon Knights do not know the full roster of the 200. Each knows the Knights they have operated alongside — perhaps 20 to 30 at most. Compartmentalization is structural and intentional. A captured Dragon Knight cannot expose the full organization. The complete roster is held only by the Secret Elders and IMU.

Dragon Knights have no knowledge of the Secret Ten. They know the Geoise exists as their ultimate authority and interface with Public Elders and senior intermediaries. No Dragon Knight below Vanguard has ever been in the same room as a Secret Elder knowingly.

IV. THE GARP FILE — COSMIC HAKI BLOODLINE

CLASSIFICATION: ABOVE VANGUARD — SECRET ELDER ACCESS ONLY

Standard Dragon Knight-permitted knowledge: Luffy = Garp's grandson. Garp = a Navy figure of extreme capability with a presence on Dawn Island. Nothing further.

God Valley — What Actually Happened

The Incident at God Valley is classified in World Government record as a suppressed pirate uprising. The public record does not contain the names of the combatants who resolved it, the nature of the fighting, or what was lost.

What the Dragon Knight restricted record contains: during the engagement at God Valley, a Marine officer named Monkey D. Garp made direct, sustained, physical combat contact with Geoise-tier assets. Not Drake Knights. Not Dragon Knights. Geoise-tier.

He left scars.

This is not a figure of speech. Monkey D. Garp — a human man with no Devil Fruit, no known lineage factor of note, and no augmentation on record — inflicted lasting physical damage on beings who were not supposed to be capable of sustaining it. The damage healed eventually. The fact that it occurred was classified immediately and has remained classified.

IMU was present or observing. Her response was recorded by one of the Secret Elders as: interest. Not alarm. Not displeasure. Interest. In the full history of IMU's documented reactions, expressions of genuine interest in a specific individual occur fewer than a dozen times across all recorded history. God Valley was one of them.

WHAT GARP DID — LOREBEARER TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT

During God Valley, Garp's Haki output exceeded any documented ceiling for a non-fruit, non-augmented human by a margin the LorBearers cannot accurately model. The working theory:

Extreme sustained Haki output beyond biological limits creates a threshold event. At that threshold, the Haki does not simply increase in magnitude — it changes in nature. The practitioner's lineage factor is permanently rewritten by the event, producing a new expression of Haki that is heritable.

Garp did not know this happened. He still does not. What he experienced was simply what he always does when the situation demands it: he pushed harder.

The Cosmic Haki Bloodline

The LorBearers designated the new lineage factor the Cosmic Haki Bloodline. The name reflects what they observed in residual Haki traces from God Valley: an energy signature with qualities that should not exist in conventional Haki — depth, reach, and a resonance with forces the LorBearers associate with Void-adjacent phenomena. Not Void Walking. Not dimensional access. Something in the same family, filtered through the lens of pure Haki rather than bloodline.

The Cosmic Haki Bloodline does not guarantee its expression in descendants. It is a potential — a structural alteration to the lineage factor that, when conditions align, produces a Haki practitioner whose ceiling is architecturally different from what a standard lineage allows. Higher, yes, but also different in kind. Garp himself is the first and most extreme expression. His descendants carry the factor in diluted and unpredictable form.

Luffy carries it. The Dragon Knights assigned to monitor him do not know this. They have not been given the LorBearer assessment. The connection between Luffy's Conqueror's Haki development and the Cosmic Haki Bloodline factor is classified above their clearance. To them he is Garp's grandson — a notable bloodline, certainly watched, but not contextualized at the level the Secret Elders hold.

Why the Geoise Want a Garp Descendant in the Celestial Dragons

The actual Geoise posture toward the Monkey family — known only to the Secret Ten and IMU — is acquisition planning. A Cosmic Haki Bloodline individual raised within the Celestial Dragon structure, trained under LorBearer supervision, and developed from childhood with full knowledge of their lineage factor would be an asset of a kind the Geoise have never had: a domesticated threshold-class combatant. The equivalent of what Garp was at God Valley, but cultivated and loyal from birth.

The obstacle is the Monkey family's consistent refusal to be anything the World Government wants them to be. Dragon is a declared revolutionary. Garp himself has never accepted a promotion that would move him further into Geoise operational range. Luffy is Luffy. The Dragon Knight most closely involved in Dawn Island monitoring — Groata Veilcrown, who has governed that territory for 800 years — is aware this represents a long-term acquisition problem. He has not found a solution. He does not expect to find one quickly. He has time.

Baarogan — Dragon's Brother in the Navy

Dragon's brother Baarogan serves in the Navy. He is not a traitor, not a double agent, and not consciously a Geoise asset. He operates within the Navy structure that the Geoise ultimately controls, and information he possesses flows upward through that structure in the normal course of institutional operation.

It is through this channel — Baarogan's Navy career, his proximity to Garp, and the standard intelligence harvesting conducted on all Navy personnel of interest — that the Dragon Knights know Luffy is Garp's grandson. This was not a secret. Garp has never hidden his connection to Luffy. What he has hidden — or rather, simply does not know — is that his connection to Luffy means something at a level of the power structure he has never interacted with.

V. DAWN ISLAND — SPLIT SOVEREIGNTY

DAWN ISLAND — TERRITORIAL BREAKDOWN

LEFT / STRUCTURED HALF: Groata Veilcrown's territory. Founded 800 years ago. One of the 72 Kings' domains. All infrastructure, towns, and civic organization trace to Groata's original establishment. He governs through intermediaries — the current 'government' has no idea they answer upward to a Dragon Knight who has been there for eight centuries.

RIGHT / WILD HALF: Garp's half. Designated following the God Valley incident as a formal Geoise acknowledgment — an arrangement Garp was never directly told about, which expresses itself as 'the wild side of Dawn Island has always been his.' The right half is ungoverned in the conventional sense. The Geoise do not send agents there. Groata does not extend his administration there. It is, by a tacit agreement predating Luffy's birth, Garp's.

The split is not in any World Government record. It is a Geoise internal arrangement, honored because the alternative — governing the right half of Dawn Island while Garp is alive and connected to it — was assessed as not worth the operational cost. The God Valley incident established what happens when Garp decides to push harder. The Geoise elected not to create a second God Valley situation over one island's right half.

Foosha Village sits on the boundary. Groata was aware of Luffy before the Dragon Knights' general intelligence apparatus registered him. He filed the standard report. He will watch this generation the way he has watched all the others — from an administrative distance that is neither warm nor hostile, and that has exactly as much patience as 800 years of unbroken territorial stewardship produces.

VI. THE TWENTY VANGUARD

The following twenty Dragon Knights are the current Vanguard tier. Listed in order of internal recognition — a combination of operational relevance, demonstrated capability, seniority, and degree of direct trust from Secret Elder-level principals.

All twenty are unaware of the Secret Ten's identities. All twenty know Luffy as Garp's grandson. None know about the Cosmic Haki Bloodline or the classified God Valley record.

1. Groata Veilcrown

"The Root That Holds Dawn"

Vanguard #1 — Longest Active Dragon Knight — One of the 72 Kings (Dawn Island, Left Territory)

AGE: 800+ years in active Dragon Knight service. True age estimated 850–900 years.

WEAPON MASTERY

Dual Tonfas — Seastone-Iron composite, each the size of a grown man's forearm. Built for structural demolition at close range.

HAKI I

Armament — Crystallized State. His passive armor has not required active concentration in over 400 years.

HAKI II

Observation — Extended Territorial Range. Can read intent across a territory, not just a battlefield.

CUSTOM HAKI — Siege Haki — Groata Veilcrown

Over eight centuries, Groata's Haki has become specifically attuned to structures — architectural, geological, and social. Siege Haki identifies the single point in any construct whose destruction will cause cascading, irreversible collapse. Against a building, one strike at the designated point brings it down. Against a fortification, it finds the wall section whose removal collapses the whole. In its advanced form, applied to a political or military structure, it identifies the person, resource, or agreement whose removal dissolves the entire arrangement. He has used this to end three civil wars, none of which were publicly attributed to outside intervention.

— Lore & History —

Eight hundred years ago, Dawn Island was ungoverned — a coastal territory with no administrative claim and no World Government designation. The Geoise, through the 72 Kings network then being formalized, assigned the territory to a Dragon Knight who had recently completed his induction and was looking for a long-term assignment. That Dragon Knight was Groata.

What he built on the left half of Dawn Island over the following century was not a kingdom in the conventional sense. It was infrastructure. Roads that still exist. Drainage systems the current inhabitants do not know are eight hundred years old. Agricultural terracing on the inland hills whose origins no local historian has ever traced correctly. Groata built a territory designed to last, because he intended to be there to see how it lasted.

He governs through a chain of intermediaries so thoroughly established that the current 'government' of Dawn Island's structured half has no idea they answer upward to a Dragon Knight. They believe they govern themselves. They believe their administrative traditions are local. They are eight hundred years of Groata's institutional design, running exactly as he intended it.

He has met Garp. Not in any context Garp would remember as significant — an old man he passed on a road once, a face in a crowd during one of Garp's public appearances on the island. Groata observed Garp's right-half claim with professional respect and zero resentment. A being who can scar Geoise-tier assets deserves whatever half of an island he wants.

His position on Luffy: he filed the standard intelligence report when Luffy was identified as Garp's grandson. He has not elevated the priority of that report. He is 800 years old. He has watched twenty generations of exceptional bloodlines play out. He will watch this one.

— Combat Profile —

Dual Seastone-Iron Tonfas: passive seastone field suppresses Devil Fruit users within striking range. Every hit is simultaneously a Haki strike and a fruit nullification.

Crystallized Armament: the densest passive armor of any active Dragon Knight. Training strikes from Field-tier Knights against Groata are described in records as 'hitting a mountain that hits back.'

Siege Haki — Structural Application: in physical combat, identifies the weakest point in an opponent's guard, posture, or Haki defense. One strike at that point collapses the entire defense regardless of overall power differential.

Celestial Dragon Style — Execution Form: one of four active Dragon Knights with full Execution Form mastery. His version is architectural — he restructures the physical space of the fight until the opponent has nowhere to go and the conclusion is geometric inevitability.Extended Observation: maintains territorial-scale Observation Haki across Dawn Island's left half continuously. He is aware of everything of significance that occurs there.

— Notable Actions —Founded and administered Dawn Island's left territory for 800 years without a documented administrative failure or territorial breach.Ended the Second Mariejois Infrastructure Crisis by identifying and eliminating a single supply chain node — the Siege Haki's political application at full scale.Trained four current Vanguard Dragon Knights. His training methodology has a 70% dropout rate among personal candidates. Was present at the God Valley perimeter during the incident. Did not engage Garp directly. Filed the first report flagging Garp's Haki output as anomalous — the seed document that eventually produced the Cosmic Haki Bloodline classification.

Note: Groata is the only Dragon Knight whose non-combat professions are directly integrated into his operational role. He is not an architect who also fights. He is a Dragon Knight for whom architecture is a combat medium.

2. Sevarath Mourne

"The Black Cartridge"

Vanguard #2

WEAPON MASTERY

Twin Custom Revolvers — Void Seastone-tipped ammunition. Each round individually Haki-forged by Sevarath over decades.

HAKI I

Armament — Active Projection. Projects at full output through thrown or fired ammunition.

HAKI II

Conqueror's — Suppression Wave. Used exclusively to end fights before they begin, not offensively.

CUSTOM HAKI — Brand Haki

Sevarath's Haki leaves a permanent mark on targets it contacts — invisible to the naked eye, but detectable by anyone with Observation Haki trained to read it. A branded target can be found anywhere in the world. The brand fades after one year unless renewed. He maintains active brands on over 300 individuals across eleven territories.

— Lore & History —

Sevarath Mourne is what happens when the Dragon Knight program takes someone already excellent at finding people and gives them eight centuries of refinement. He is the Geoise's primary tracker — when Maximum Shadow Protocol identifies a target who must be silenced before they speak, Sevarath is the first name on the deployment list.

His revolvers fire rounds individually Haki-forged by Sevarath himself — a process that took two centuries to perfect. The Void Seastone tips disrupt spatial-based movement on impact, meaning targets who rely on Geppo, Soru, or any speed technique are hit in the middle of what should have been an evasion.

He does not enjoy what he does. This is considered by the Geoise a professional asset, not a personal problem. An enforcer who enjoys it makes mistakes. Sevarath has not made a mistake in four hundred years.

— Combat Profile —

Twin Revolvers with Launch Projection Armament: each shot carries his full Haki output. Firing at range is functionally equivalent to a direct Armament strike at close quarters.

Brand Haki on first contact: in a firefight his goal is a single graze. Everything after that is tracking and patience.Conqueror's Suppression Wave: used as an administrative tool — a single wave to collapse a crowd, not a combat technique.

Void Seastone rounds: on impact, briefly suppresses spatial-movement techniques. Targets mid-Soru or mid-Geppo land badly.

Toxicology application: ammunition loaded with pharmacological compounds ranging from paralytic to fatal to amnesiac.

— Notable Actions —Over three centuries of active deployment, Sevarath has never required a second mission to complete a primary elimination.Currently maintains active brands on 14 individuals classified as persistent intelligence risks — people who know things they should not, but whose elimination would create more exposure than their monitored continued existence.

3. Carnyx Delvaine

"The Hollow Bell"

Vanguard #3

WEAPON MASTERY

The Bellsword — A massive single-edge blade whose hollow spine resonates at specific frequencies on impact, producing auditory and structural effects.

HAKI I

Armament — Dense Application. Amplifies the Bellsword's resonance frequency through Haki.

HAKI II

Observation — Frequency Sense. Perceives the 'sound' of Haki and living systems, not just movement.

CUSTOM HAKI

Tide Haki

PROFESSIONS

CUSTOM HAKI — Tide Haki

Each of Carnyx's strikes builds on the last — his Haki output does not reset between blows. The first strike carries baseline force. The second carries the first's force plus its own. By the tenth strike, the cumulative Tide reaches a level that would be impossible to generate in a single output. Sustained combat is exponentially more dangerous with Carnyx than initial engagement suggests. Most opponents assess the first few strikes as manageable and do not survive long enough to understand the progression.

— Lore & History —

Carnyx Delvaine is not the most powerful Dragon Knight in any single metric. He is the most dangerous over time. His Tide Haki turns every extended engagement into a losing proposition — not because Carnyx is getting stronger, but because the accumulated pressure of his strikes is.

His Bellsword produces vibrations that, at specific frequencies tuned via Armament mid-combat, interfere with Haki generation in the target's body. A practitioner maintaining Armament Haki while taking repeated resonance strikes finds their coating stuttering, requiring re-concentration that costs time they cannot afford.

Naval architecture gave him the engineering foundation for the Bellsword's design; music theory gave him the frequency understanding that makes it a weapon rather than an instrument.

— Combat Profile —

Bellsword on impact: against Haki-armored targets, frequency disrupts the coating's stability, requiring the opponent to spend concentration on maintenance rather than offense.

Tide Haki progression: strikes 1–3 are assessable; 4–7 begin to exceed most combatants' experience; 8 and beyond are in territory no public-world combatant has ever reported surviving.

Frequency Sense Observation: detects the 'sound' of a prepared Haki technique before it executes. His counter-timing is exceptional.

4. Thessa Vormund

"The Warden's Chain"

Vanguard #4

WEAPON MASTERY

Chain-Blade — Segmented sword whose sections separate into a flexible whip-chain or lock rigid. Each link is Cold Iron.

HAKI I

Armament — Extension Application. Extends Haki through the chain's full length regardless of configuration.

HAKI II

Conqueror's — Warden's Pressure. A sustained constant release rather than burst — like being slowly submerged rather than struck.

CUSTOM HAKI

Null Haki

PROFESSIONS

Law, Judicial Records & Precedent | Behavioral Psychology & Interrogation Science

CUSTOM HAKI — Null Haki

Thessa's Haki on sustained contact suppresses the target's active Haki application — not their ability, their current output. A target maintaining Armament Haki who is held in her grip for more than three seconds finds the coating failing. This requires physical contact, which means Thessa's entire combat discipline is built around achieving and maintaining holds.

— Lore & History —

Thessa Vormund has ended more Dragon Knight candidate assessments than any evaluator in the program's history. For sixty years, completing Dragon Knight induction required surviving three minutes against Thessa in a closed space. She was removed as the final test not because candidates started passing, but because the mortality rate was deemed inefficient.

She spent two centuries as the Geoise's judicial enforcer — the person who served the sentences the official system could not. She knows more about unwritten laws than any CP0 agent or Marine Admiral.

Her Null Haki is the most tactically disruptive Custom form in the Vanguard. It does not require superior strength or speed. It requires contact — and Thessa's entire combat discipline is built around the certainty of contact.

— Combat Profile —

Chain-Blade at range: flexible configuration covers a 6-meter envelope, with full Armament Haki extended through every link. A whip-crack is a full Armament strike at 6 meters.

Null Haki grappling: once contact is established for 3 seconds, the opponent's active Haki applications begin to fail. At 10 seconds, they cannot generate new applications.

Conqueror's Warden Pressure: accumulating weight rather than a wave. Opponents feel it building over minutes as progressively harder to operate under.Judicial expertise: knows the exact legal boundaries of her authority in any territory and has never exceeded them, making her operations legally unassailable regardless of methods.

5. Braeth Solkar

"The Forge Titan"

Vanguard #5

WEAPON MASTERY

The Crucible Hammer — Adamantium head with three interchangeable configurations: flat-face (blunt force), spike-face (penetration), cage-face (capture/restraint).

HAKI I

Armament — Forge State. When fully deployed, visibly hardens and darkens — crackling rather than smooth.

HAKI II

Observation — Material Read. Perceives the internal structure of any material including, at high focus, living tissue.

CUSTOM HAKI

PROFESSIONS

CUSTOM HAKI — Forge Haki

Braeth's Haki tempers whatever it strikes, leaving a layer partially embedded in the target's defense or surface. Each strike makes the next more effective — the target's Armament coating becomes increasingly rigid and brittle with accumulated Forge Haki, eventually fracturing. Against opponents who rely on sustained Armament, this is a fight-ending progression. He does not need to overwhelm their defense — he needs to hit it enough times that it breaks itself.

— Lore & History —

Braeth Solkar built the Crucible Hammer himself — an eleven-year project requiring materials sourced from four different worlds through the 72 Kings' supply network. He is the Dragon Knights' foremost metallurgical authority.

His Ancient History specialization is not recreational. The Geoise use him to recover historical artifacts without the recovery being detectable as anything other than natural or archaeological. He has recovered seventeen Tower Complex-classified objects and quietly buried evidence of three pre-Void Century civilizations.

He is the largest of the current Vanguard, and the one whose physical presence most affects opponents before a strike lands. The Celestial Dragon Style's Pressure pillar is most visibly expressed in Braeth — he does not walk into a fight. He arrives.

— Combat Profile —

Forge Haki accumulation: by the fifth hit, an Admiral-level Armament coating shows fracture lines. The spike-face configuration punches through the Forge Haki-brittled surface.

Cage-face configuration: deploys a seastone-composite mesh on impact — designed to capture without destroying.

Material Read Observation: reads an opponent's Haki coating like a metallurgist reads metal — sees the grain, the stress points, where the Forge Haki has accumulated.

Raw physical output without Haki application is the highest in the Vanguard by measurement. The Forge Haki makes this baseline exponentially more dangerous.

6. Orindel Crux

"The Crooked Path"

Vanguard #6

WEAPON MASTERY

Twin Curved Kukri — Short, heavy, forward-curved blades. Each SeaBloodstone-edged, suppressing both Devil Fruit and Nen on contact.

HAKI I

Observation — Probability Read. Sees the most likely branching outcomes 3–4 seconds ahead.

HAKI II

Conqueror's — Selective Targeting. Directs Conqueror's Haki at specific individuals without area effect.

CUSTOM HAKI

Phantom Haki

PROFESSIONS

CUSTOM HAKI — Phantom Haki

Orindel generates Haki-solid afterimages — not visual tricks but physical constructs with partial substance. Each phantom can block a single strike before dissolving, absorb a projectile, or serve as a spatial decoy that registers as a real body to Observation Haki. He maintains up to seven simultaneously. In combat, the actual Orindel is always the one not quite where the opponent is looking.

— Lore & History —

Orindel Crux is sent when the mission requires the target to not know they were ever at risk. His SeaBloodstone kukri suppress both Devil Fruit and Nen on contact — covering the vast majority of enhanced individuals the Geoise might need to manage quietly.

His Cipher Analysis background lets him read intelligence documents the way he reads a fight — identifying the actual pattern beneath the surface presentation. He has broken three Cipher Pol encryption standards from the inside to demonstrate they were compromised. He was involved in the update each time.

The Crooked Path epithet refers to his combat movement: Orindel never travels in a straight line. His footwork is a constant series of oblique approaches and redirections, difficult to track even for experienced Observation users who are also reading seven phantom Haki constructs.

— Combat Profile —

Seven Phantoms: solid-haki afterimages that register as real bodies to Observation Haki. Identifying the real Orindel requires a read quality most combatants cannot achieve under pressure.

SeaBloodstone kukri: suppresses Devil Fruit AND Nen on contact. Against most enhanced targets, the first successful strike is their most vulnerable moment.

Probability Read: sees 3–4 seconds of branching outcomes. Orindel is always where the strike is not, and where the opponent is about to be.

Selective Conqueror's: targets one individual in a crowd with full Conqueror's pressure while those around them feel nothing.

7. Vyssa Nighthollow

"The Quiet Verdict"

Vanguard #7

WEAPON MASTERY

Iron Seastone Piano Wire Garrote + Hollow-bore Stiletto — The stiletto delivers pharmacological compounds. The garrote wire does not snap under Haki-enhanced strength.

HAKI I

CUSTOM HAKI — Hollow Haki

On contact with any Haki-active surface, Vyssa's Haki drains the applied Haki rather than competing with it. A fully Armament-coated weapon held in her grip loses its coating in seconds. A target whose skin is Armament-hardened finds the hardening retreating from the point of contact. She does not need to overpower anyone's Haki. She empties it.

— Lore & History —

Vyssa Nighthollow is most frequently called upon by Ingumēraz Subratioa — the Secret Elder of Punishment and Secrecy — because her operational profile is the closest Dragon Knight analog to what Ingumēraz does at his level. She removes things quietly. She leaves no record.

Her stiletto is a delivery system, not a stabbing weapon. What it delivers depends on the brief. She engineers the compounds herself and maintains a personal laboratory whose location she has never shared with the Dragon Knight administrative record.

23-language fluency means she can pass through any region that uses them and conduct interrogations without a translator who might later become a liability.

— Combat Profile —

Intent Void Observation: cannot be read by Observation Haki users until she chooses to be. The first indication most opponents have that she is attacking them is the attack.

Hollow Haki garrote: Iron Seastone wire with Hollow Haki removes Armament coating from the throat area within seconds.

Pharmacological stiletto: paralytic, amnesiac, or fatal compounds — mission-specific load, onset time variable from immediate to 72 hours.

Silent Armament: her defensive coating produces no signal — in low-visibility conditions she is invisible to conventional Haki combat senses.

Note: Vyssa has never been officially deployed on a mission that was later publicly reported. Her operational record exists in full — but it is held in Ingumēraz's domain, not the standard Dragon Knight archive.

8. Kael Durnwood

"The Living Forest"

Vanguard #8

WEAPON MASTERY

Bone-Wood Great Staff — Carved from ironwood that petrified over three centuries in mineral-rich water. Heavier than most swords. Has survived Warlord-tier impacts without structural damage.

HAKI I

Armament — Root State. Immovability-focused. Defense prioritizes holding position over retreating.

HAKI II

Observation — Ecosystem Read. Extended-range perception treating a battlefield like a forest — every element in relationship.

CUSTOM HAKI — Root Haki

Applied to himself, Root Haki makes Kael immovable in the Armament tradition. Applied to a target on contact, it transfers a degree of immovability to them — their footwork becomes sluggish, repositioning costs energy, and their body resists their own movement instructions as if they suddenly weigh twice what they did. Extended contact increases the effect. It is not paralysis. It is like running through shallow water that keeps getting deeper.

— Lore & History —

Kael Durnwood's professions are more operationally significant than his combat record. As the Geoise's foremost ecological authority, he manages the biological stability of seven territories in the 72 Kings' network — ensuring resource bases do not collapse from overuse or contamination.

His Observation Haki in urban environments is significantly narrower than in open terrain. In a forest, swamp, or complex natural environment, his Ecosystem Read extends to several kilometers at individual precision.

His combat record is notable for what it lacks: he does not pursue. He does not chase. Every opponent he has ever engaged has, eventually, come to him — and by that point moving toward Kael has already become progressively more difficult.

— Combat Profile —

Root Haki transfer on staff contact: three contacts and a speed-type combatant begins to notice the drag; six and their repositioning is visibly compromised.

Root State defense: Kael does not move. Strikes against his guard feel like hitting a rooted tree with full Armament passive density.

Ecosystem Read in natural terrain: effectively omniscient in preferred environments, tracking individuals across several kilometers at precise resolution.

Great Staff physical output: petrified ironwood has survived Warlord-tier training impacts. It does not require Haki to function as a weapon.

CUSTOM HAKI — Scar Haki

Any wound inflicted while Sorna's Scar Haki is active cannot close while her Haki persists in the area. The wounds do not worsen — no accelerated bleeding, no infection — but they do not heal. Recovery, Nen-based healing, Zoan regeneration, all of it is suppressed on the specific wounds she inflicts. The effect persists until she releases it or leaves the area. She has held wounds open for three days in documented operations.

— Lore & History —

Sorna Blightweave's name comes from her profession: she is a master of structural weaving — the engineering of composite materials through interlocking fiber systems. The Dragon Knight program's current restraint harness design is hers.

She does not fight to defeat opponents. She fights to wound them specifically and purposefully, and then she waits. The Scar Haki means an opponent who takes three significant wounds from Sorna is now losing resources — health, healing, concentration — for as long as she maintains the Haki.

Her Forensic Science specialization allows her to reconstruct any engagement from residual Haki traces, physical evidence, and environmental data — better than any CP0 analyst the World Government employs.

— Combat Profile —

Scar Haki on cut: wounds inflicted do not close. Against regenerating targets (Zoan, Nen healing), this eliminates the primary durability advantage over time.

Precision Armament edge: blade cuts far beyond her apparent strength output. Has cut through Armament-hardened surfaces that should have stopped her.

Hook-Sword trap: the cross-guard catches opposing blades. Even holding the catch long enough to graze the opponent's grip hand is sufficient with Scar Haki active.

Conqueror's Sentence Pressure: by the fourth minute, opponents experience it as something being decided over their heads — a verdict, not a force.

CUSTOM HAKI — Fracture Haki

Jadris identifies the exact structural weak point in any Haki application or physical defense. The weak point is not the thinnest part or the thickest — it is the point of greatest internal stress. When she finds it, which takes between one second and one exchange depending on complexity, she applies her entire Point Concentration Armament to that point. A rapier thrust there passes through defenses that should be impenetrable by her power level. She does not need to overpower anyone. She needs to find the number.

— Lore & History —

In a direct power comparison with other Vanguard members, Jadris does not register as exceptional. Her raw Armament output is in the middle tier. Her Conqueror's Haki has never activated. Her physical strength is unremarkable. The Fracture Haki changes every one of those calculations entirely.

She has punched through an Admiral-level Armament coating in a training simulation — not because she was stronger, but because she found the number that made the wall fall.

Her Economics background is operationally used more than her combat record. She runs trade route analysis for four 72 Kings territories, identifying financial pressure points — the Fracture Haki applied to economics rather than armor.

— Combat Profile —

Fracture Haki identification: takes 1–3 exchanges on an unknown target. Against targets she has engaged before, she already knows it.

Point Concentration thrust: once identified, one rapier thrust with full concentration delivers the force of a significantly stronger combatant at that specific point.

Cold Iron rapier: specifically effective against supernatural and magical resistance — targets who rely on Devil Fruit armor, magical defense, or Nen constructs find Cold Iron contacts more damaging than force alone explains.

Structural Mathematics Observation: knows the optimal position, angle, and timing before physically executing — processes combat geometrically.

HAKI I

CUSTOM HAKI — Storm Haki

Maevor generates a persistent Haki field extending several meters around him in all directions — not a barrier, but an active zone of Haki pressure. Projectiles entering the field are deflected or slowed. Combatants inside feel constant resistance, as if moving against wind. The Storm Haki scales with Maevor's sustained engagement — the longer the fight, the stronger the field. Opponents whose strategy involves wearing Maevor down are making his Storm Haki stronger.

— Lore & History —

Maevor Ashkind planned the last three Maximum Shadow Protocol deployments from the Tower Complex. The Dragon Knights who executed his plans are excellent. Maevor is the reason excellent was enough.

He is clear-eyed about what he is best at and does not have the drive common to most Vanguard members to personally resolve situations. He would rather be the reason situations resolve than the person who resolved them.

The Storm Haki turns every fight involving Maevor into a fight on his terms — it is persistent, requires no attention, and it scales upward the longer combat continues.

— Combat Profile —

Storm Haki field: persistent and scaling. Projectiles deflected. By the fifth minute of engagement, moving at full speed inside the Storm field requires notable effort.

Extended Armament reach on nodachi: the cutting field extends 10–15cm past the physical blade, covering a large arc.

Command Presence Conqueror's: imposes decision-making weight on surrounding opponents while maintaining primary focus.

Nodachi range combined with Storm Haki field: effective engagement zone is among the largest of any single-blade Vanguard member.

CUSTOM HAKI — Mirror Haki

Any force making contact with Pelora's shield while Mirror Haki is active is reflected back to its source at equal magnitude. This is not a counter-strike and does not require movement — the shield surface returns the force in its original direction. The reflection is precise: a punch returns as a punch, a Haki-enhanced strike returns as a Haki-enhanced strike at full output. She has returned Admiral-level attacks to their sources in controlled testing. The structural integrity of the source is their own problem.

— Lore & History —

Pelora Stonegrave has never thrown the first strike in any documented engagement. Not because she cannot — because she has decided the most efficient path to victory always involves letting the opponent commit first. Mirror Haki ensures that commitment is immediately educational.

She has never been moved from a position she decided to hold. The Dragon Knight training record shows zero documented instances of Pelora Stonegrave being repositioned against her will. Dragon Knights have attempted it as training exercises and stopped attempting it.

Her Structural Stress Observation reads terrain the way she reads opponents — looking for load-bearing points, the places where concentrated force will cascade.

— Combat Profile —

Mirror Haki on shield: all striking force reflected at equal magnitude. Against power-type combatants who rely on raw output, this becomes a self-defeating strategy after the first exchange.

Absolute Density Armament: strikes against her body hit a surface denser than Adamantium.

Mace: full weight of Adamantium driven by Absolute Density Armament. She does not need to hit frequently. She needs to hit once.Structural Stress Observation: identifies when an opponent's Armament is about to fail from internal pressure before the surface shows it.

CUSTOM HAKI — Gravity Haki

Duncath's Haki, applied through direct contact or through his Environmental Armament terrain extension, alters the effective weight of targets. They become progressively heavier — not physically compressed, but gravitationally burdened. Their own body weight works against them. Weapons become harder to lift. Evasion becomes sluggish. Applied through terrain, the ground itself imposes the effect on anything standing on it. Extended exposure increases the burden. It does not stop them — it makes the calculation of continuing increasingly costly.

— Lore & History —

Duncath Mireweld is deployed when the target is not a person but an army. His Command Sense Observation tracks 200 individuals simultaneously; his Gravity Haki applied through terrain affects everything standing on a defined surface; his Naval Command expertise means he thinks in fleet engagements, not individual duels.

He has commanded Dragon Knight group deployments — one of only three Vanguard members authorized to do so. His objective completion record across those deployments is flawless.

The Swamp Commander epithet refers to a philosophy: swamps do not fight you — they make fighting in them so costly that the calculation changes. Duncath's approach does the same.

— Combat Profile —

Gravity Haki through terrain: anything standing on Environmentally-Armed ground experiences progressive gravity increase. In extended engagements, speed-type combatants eventually cannot sprint.

Voidsteel Poleaxe: Void Seastone particulate disrupts spatial movement techniques on contact — Soru, Geppo, and Moonwalk stutter mid-execution.

Command Observation: coordinates Dragon Knight sub-groups in real-time at the precision of a single-target fight.

Environmental Armament extension: turns the battlefield into an active weapon — pressure waves through terrain, collapse at designated points.

CUSTOM HAKI — Bloom Haki

When Fyrreth's weapon makes contact, his Haki does not simply transmit through the surface — it blooms outward from the contact point in a radial burst. A sword strike does not just cut where the blade meets; the Haki blooms from that point in a 30–50cm sphere of force. This means the effective damage area of each hit is the contact point plus the radial bloom. His precision weapon functions as an area-effect one, and opponents who technically dodge the blade do not always clear the Bloom.

— Lore & History —

Fyrreth Goldenchain handles situations requiring a presence that is simultaneously authoritative and publicly acceptable. When the Geoise need representation in a context where a Dragon Knight's existence cannot be acknowledged, Fyrreth appears as a diplomat or cultural attaché.

His Goldsmithing expertise designs the insignia and ceremonial objects used in 72 Kings diplomatic functions. Several items that heads of state consider their most treasured national symbols were made by Fyrreth in a workshop that does not officially exist.

His combat record features the highest proportion of Execution Form completions of any Vanguard member. Opponents later describe the experience not as losing a fight — but as being formally dismissed.

— Combat Profile —

Bloom Haki radial burst: a thrust that looks like a precision attack is actually a 50cm sphere of Haki force. Dodging the blade does not guarantee clearing the Bloom.

Conqueror's Formal Declaration: used exclusively as Execution Form — a full-output Conqueror's blast communicating finality, not raw force.

Chain extension: 90cm whip range with the same Bloom application.

Diplomatic expertise: the pre-fight political phase of the Celestial Dragon Style. Many engagements end before they begin because the opponent has already been maneuvered into a losing position.

CUSTOM HAKI — Serpent Haki

Corra's Haki does not travel in a straight line. Her strikes curve, redirect, and find paths around defenses rather than through them. The Serpent Haki reads the path of least resistance and takes it — not around the opponent, around their defense. An attack aimed at the front curves to the back. A blocked strike redirects to the side that was protected. Blocking Corra directly merely redirects her strike to wherever the block is weakest. The natural response of blocking or redirecting is partially feeding her Haki the information it needs to find the next path.

— Lore & History —

Corra Blackspine's Spine-Blade was a gift from Ingumēraz — a gesture no other Dragon Knight has received from a Secret Elder directly, and which she has never explained and is never asked about.

Her Biological Read makes her one of the most effective field medics the Dragon Knights have — and one of the most effective at identifying when an opponent is performing above their actual capacity, hiding an injury the fight has not yet exploited.

The Serpent Haki is the most frustrating Custom form to train against in Dragon Knight internal records. Both blocking and redirecting are partially feeding it the information it needs.

— Combat Profile —

Serpent Haki redirection: strikes do not travel straight. Blocks redirect rather than stop. The path-finding is emergent, not conscious calculation.

Seven-layer Armament: Dragon Knight training strikes have cracked three layers before the outermost held. In operational conditions, most opponents never crack the first.

Spine-Blade seastone-adjacent property: prolonged contact creates progressive discomfort in Devil Fruit users, compounding and compromising concentration.

Biological Read: identifies internal injuries the Serpent Haki created inside the opponent's defense before they are aware of them — targets them on subsequent passes.

CUSTOM HAKI — Marrow Haki

Halvar's Haki penetrates surfaces — his strikes transmit through whatever they contact to damage internal structures. A strike against an Armament-coated arm goes through the Haki and into the bone. A strike against a ship's hull transmits through the outer plating to the inner frame. He does not need to break defenses. He hits what is behind them. Against living targets, Marrow Haki causes internal trauma without necessarily breaching the surface — damage accumulates invisibly.

— Lore & History —

Halvar Emberscar has been a Dragon Knight longer than some Vanguard members have been alive. His record is the second longest active service after Groata, and he has operated in more distinct theaters against more distinct categories of opponent than anyone except Groata and Sevarath Mourne.

His dual war axes are not impressive to look at. This is a choice. Opponents who are not visually impressed make tactical mistakes that impressive weapons would have prevented.

The Veteran's Pressure is distinct from younger Dragon Knights' Conqueror's Haki in a way difficult to measure but universally felt: it does not communicate power. It communicates age — the weight of everything Halvar has seen, survived, and continued existing through.

— Combat Profile —

Marrow Haki — through-surface damage: does not need to breach Armament. Internal trauma accumulates invisibly. Opponents who feel fine externally are often more damaged than they appear.

Sustained Armament duration: full Armament stays active longer than any other Vanguard member's. Extended engagements do not erode his defense.

Veteran's Conqueror's: opponents with Conqueror's Haki of their own find their resistance requiring more effort than expected — as if pushing against something with more inertia than raw power explains.

Dual-axe pattern: simultaneous high and low coverage. With Marrow Haki, internal damage accumulates from multiple vectors per exchange.

CUSTOM HAKI — Void Haki

Zethris generates dead zones — localized fields where all energy dissipates. Fire extinguishes at the boundary. Sound stops. Haki applied into the zone loses cohesion and fades. Nen constructs dissolve on contact with the field's edge. The zone is approximately 3 meters radius at maximum. Inside it, no energy-based ability functions — including his own Haki. He operates within his Void zone using purely physical output, trained to Dragon Knight standard without Haki augmentation.

— Lore & History —

Zethris Coldhand was recruited from a world that Spradin Spocyia flagged during a deep-space scouting mission — a world at the outer edge of a solar system where ambient temperature rendered energy-based life impossible. Zethris had survived there through evolved biology that suppressed external energy input. The Geoise identified this as the foundation for Void Haki development.

He provides technical analysis of celestial body observations that Spradin makes during space transit. They have the closest thing to a collegial working relationship the Dragon Knight-Secret Elder dynamic ever becomes.

Inside his Void zone, a Logia user is physical. A Nen master has no constructs. A mage has no magic. They have their body — and Zethris's body, trained to Dragon Knight standard without Haki, is sufficient.

— Combat Profile —

Void Haki field: all energy fails inside it. Logia intangibility fails. Nen constructs dissolve. Haki coating cannot be maintained. Magical effects extinguish.Within the Void field, Zethris fights purely physically — his own Armament does not function inside his zone. He trained specifically for this condition.

Void Seastone pick tips: suppress spatial movement techniques on puncture contact — a material property distinct from the Void field.

Energy Read Observation: knows before engagement what energy systems the opponent relies on. Void field is deployed to precisely target the dependency.

Note: Zethris is frequently requested by Gordian Syofica for materials analysis — his Energy Read can give Gordian data on exotic materials that conventional analysis cannot. The collaboration has produced three new Seastone variant classifications.

CUSTOM HAKI — Siege Haki (Approach Cost Variant)

Vorruk's Siege Haki creates a field of ambient pressure that makes approaching him progressively more costly. Standing 5 meters away is fine. Standing 3 meters requires notable effort. Standing 1 meter feels like walking into a siege engine's impact zone. The field scales as a compound with his Conqueror's Siege Presence — both systems reinforce each other. At full output, most opponents cannot approach within 2 meters without being functionally stopped.

— Lore & History —

Vorruk Steelmantle is the Dragon Knight equivalent of a walking fortification. He defines a space, and nothing enters that space without paying for it.

His Architecture specialization has been used to design Dragon Knight holding facilities — locations for individuals the Geoise need held indefinitely. These facilities do not appear in any World Government record and are designed to contain beings up to Dragon Knight level.

He is not deployed for situations requiring subtlety. He is deployed when the message is: you cannot go forward. Whatever is behind Vorruk Steelmantle is not accessible.

— Combat Profile —

Siege Haki field: the cost of approaching increases with proximity. At 2 meters, significant effort. At 1 meter, forward progress requires effort comparable to competing against a stronger opponent — before any strikes are exchanged.

Full Mantle Armament on lance: entire 3.2-meter shaft is live Haki. A sweep covers a 3.2-meter arc of full Armament force.

Conqueror's Siege Presence compounded with Siege Haki: combined, forces opponents to choose between retreating or spending all effort on forward movement with nothing left for combat.

Raw physical output without Custom Haki is top-tier in the Vanguard. The Siege Haki ensures anything that survives through the field arrives at a target with that output.

CUSTOM HAKI — Brand Haki (Location Variant)

Where Sevarath brands people, Rethara brands locations. She marks a fixed coordinate with her Haki. Any thrown weapon she releases after marking that coordinate finds the mark regardless of distance, obstacle, or movement of whatever occupies the marked point. She marks, she waits, she throws. The weapon arrives. The lock breaks only when she releases it or is unconscious. She maintains up to three active location brands simultaneously.

— Lore & History —

Rethara Dawnspear is the longest-range offensive Dragon Knight in the Vanguard. Her Location Brand combined with Launch Projection means she can mark a target position and deliver a Haki-enhanced javelin to that position without seeing it at time of release. Range is limited by her Observation detection range, not by throwing distance.

Her Gordian-composite javelins were provided by Gordian Syofica — liquid metal projectiles that make a single mid-flight adaptation. A projectile that can decide, mid-flight, to become a bladed disc instead of a point is difficult to defend against conventionally.

Her Philosophy specialization is used by the Geoise when difficult assignments require justification that the 72 Kings and Public Elders find morally coherent. Rethara writes those justifications. She finds this more challenging than the combat assignments.

— Combat Profile —

Location Brand and release: marks a point, throws later, the javelin finds it. Maximum three concurrent brands. Opponents do not know where the next throw is going until the mark is set.

Javelin selection: Cold Iron against supernatural targets, Void Seastone-tip against spatial-movement users, Gordian-composite against Armament-heavy targets who expect the javelin's shape.Launch Projection Armament: thrown projectiles carry full Haki output at any distance.

Stellar Positioning Observation: tracks all individuals within a 2-kilometer radius while executing throws without losing resolution on any of them.

CUSTOM HAKI — Chain Haki

Boran establishes Haki links between points of physical contact he has made. Once he has touched two surfaces — two opponents, an opponent and a wall, an opponent and the ground — his Haki chains those points together. Force applied to one point in the chain transmits to all chained points simultaneously. A strike on one chained opponent also hits whatever else is in the chain at proportional magnitude. He has chained four individuals in a single engagement and struck one to affect all four.

— Lore & History —

Boran Veloth was originally a CP0 candidate. He passed every Refinement Trial and was three months from CP0 induction when a Dragon Knight recruiter identified something in his Conqueror's Haki that did not belong in a CP0 operative.

The Second Son epithet is personal. His older brother completed the CP0 induction without the Conqueror's Haki flag. Boran does not discuss this. The Dragon Knight program is the better outcome by any objective measure. He is aware of this.

His Cipher Analysis background shapes how he uses the Chain Haki — he approaches it like code-breaking, looking for the node whose manipulation cascades through the entire system. He does not fight multiple opponents; he finds which one is load-bearing.

He is the Dragon Knight whose former CP0-adjacent connections gave him intelligence on the Straw Hat crew earlier than the standard assessment cycle would have. He flagged Luffy as Garp's grandson — which he already knew — and noted the Conqueror's Haki development, which he could not contextualize correctly at his clearance level.

— Combat Profile —

Chain Haki — multi-point linking: force distributes across the chain. Four chained opponents take proportional damage from strikes on any one of them.

Impact Conversion Armament: incoming force becomes outgoing force. Opponents whose strategy is overwhelming his defense are increasing his offensive output.

SeaBloodstone gauntlet lining: suppresses both Devil Fruit and Nen on physical contact. Grappling and holding applications are effective against the full range of enhanced targets.

Conqueror's Inheritance Weight: experienced by targets as something being placed on them — accumulating, structural, heavier than raw power output explains.

Note: Boran Veloth's flagging report on Luffy is the document that introduced the Straw Hat captain to the Dragon Knight intelligence record as a Garp bloodline priority. He does not know how close that report landed to a classified file he does not have access to.
