Chapter 80 - chapter 73

Jay's POV.

We reached Watson Enterprises. Keifer got out of the car first and opened the door for me then Opened the back door and carried Kade in his arms.

Kade's eyes widened when he saw the tall, giant glass building. He came here for the first time.

"Wowwwww..... It sooooooo biiiiiiiiggg" he said looking up.

Keifer and I chuckled.

"It's yours" keifer said calmly.

He eyes widened even more.

He looked at keifer with pure shock, surprise and happiness all mixed.

"It mine??" He asked slowly pointing towards the building.

"Yes" keifer replied.

Kade smiled so bright that I felt pain for his cheeks.

"IT MINE" he shouted throwing his arms in air.

Keifer firmly put a hand on his ear.

I could help but laugh at his reaction.

"Dada, down" he said and leaned forward eager to got down.

"Be careful" keifer said before putting him down.

As long as he stood on his feet he ran towards the building.

"Kade wait.." I shouted and ran after him.

"MY BUILDING!" He shouted and hug the wall or we can say tried to hug the the whole building which is thousands time bigger than him.

I caught up with him and pulled him back from the wall.

"Noooo😭😭 my building...." He protest dramatically.

"Don't you want to go inside your building" I asked and he froze completely forgotten about his soap opera performance.

I heard keifer chuckled behind me.

"Come on, let's go inside and see your building from inside" keifer said to Kade.

"Inside....my building??" He whispered like keifer has offered him the moon.

"Yeah, let's go inside and see all the floors and big windows" I said.

"Big windows?"

"Yeah" I replied

"Come on CEO, let's go inside" keifer said holding his hand.

Kade was practically bouncing with excitement and nodded so fast that his head could fall.

We entered inside Kade holding both of us hands.

Author's POV

The moment the three of them stepped through the giant revolving glass doors, the elegant lobby of Watson Enterprises became unusually quiet.

Employees who had been walking with files, talking to clients, or waiting for elevators instinctively paused.

Their CEO had arrived.

That wasn't unusual.

Seeing him with his wife wasn't unusual either.

But seeing the CEO walking hand in hand with a tiny two‑year‑old boy—that was enough to steal everyone's attention.

Keifer walked calmly on Kade's right while Jay held his tiny hand on the left. The little boy stood between his parents, his small legs trying their best to keep up with their long strides.

The moment Kade looked around, his mouth slowly fell open.

The floor... it was so shiny.

The ceiling... it looked so high.

The lights sparkled like stars.

The huge glass windows let bright sunlight pour into the lobby.

He slowly turned his head one way... then the other... then looked up.

"Wooooow..." His tiny voice echoed through the spacious lobby.

Jay smiled. Someone was completely amazed.

"So pwetty..." Kade whispered.

"It is pretty, isn't it?" Jay chuckled.

He nodded without taking his eyes off everything around him. "So biiiig..."

"It is."

A receptionist immediately stood up. "Good morning, Sir. Good morning, Ma'am."

Keifer gave a small nod. "Morning."

Soon, more employees greeted them respectfully as they passed.

"Good morning, Sir."

"Good morning, Ma'am."

Kade blinked. He looked up at Keifer. "Dada..."

"Hm?"

"Why dey talking?"

Keifer looked down at his son. "They're saying good morning."

Kade looked at the smiling employees. One lady gave him a tiny wave.

Without hesitation, he happily waved both hands back. "Hiiiiii!"

Several employees couldn't help smiling.

"So cute..."

"He's adorable."

"He looks just like Sir."

"No, he has Ma'am's smile."

"I've never seen Sir bring Young Master here before."

Of course, no one dared say it loudly. Keifer was still Keifer Watson.

Meanwhile, Kade had already forgotten about the greetings. Something else had caught his attention. Near the center of the lobby, a beautiful indoor fountain gently flowed over smooth black stones.

His eyes lit up. "Water!!"

Before Jay could react, he let go of their hands and toddled toward it as fast as his tiny legs could carry him.

Jay hurried after him. Keifer followed right behind.

Kade stopped just in front of the fountain. His eyes sparkled as he watched the water. "Wooooow..."

He leaned a little closer, tiny fingers reaching.

Keifer gently caught his wrist before he could dip his whole hand inside. "No touching."

Kade looked up. "...Why?"

"You'll get wet."

Kade looked at the water, then at his hand, then back at Keifer. "...Okay."

Just as Keifer released him, Kade pointed excitedly instead. "Fish?"

Jay laughed softly. "No, baby. There aren't any fish."

He pouted a little. "No fish..."

"No fish."

For exactly three seconds, he forgot all about the fish. His attention jumped to the elevators. The shiny silver doors opened with a soft ding.

Kade gasped dramatically. "OHHHH!" He pointed with both hands. "Dada!"

"Hm?"

"Door open!"

Keifer looked at the elevators. "Yes."

Again. Ding.

Another elevator opened.

Kade clapped excitedly. "It do again!"

Jay laughed so hard she had to cover her mouth.

Everything was magical through the eyes of a two‑year‑old. The marble floor. The fountain. The elevators. The lights. Even the sound of the doors opening fascinated him.

Keifer looked down at his son. "Want to ride the elevator?"

Kade whipped his head around so fast it almost looked painful. "Yes!!" His little body bounced with excitement. "Up?"

Keifer nodded. "We're going up."

Kade grinned so widely his cheeks became round. "Up! Up! Up!" He reached for both of them at once. "Mama hand." "Dada hand."

Jay smiled and slipped her hand into his tiny one. Keifer took the other.

Holding both of his parents' hands securely, Kade happily waddled toward the elevator.

To everyone else, Watson Enterprises was the headquarters of one of the world's most powerful companies.

To Kade, it was simply the biggest, shiniest, most exciting place he had ever seen.

Jay's POV

The moment we stepped inside, cold air immediately brushed against my face.

"Ooooo..." Kade's tiny mouth formed a perfect little "O" as his eyes wandered everywhere.

The lobby was huge. The marble floor was so shiny that it almost looked like water. Tall glass walls let the sunlight pour inside, making the whole place glow. People in neat suits walked here and there, carrying files and laptops.

Kade stopped walking. Completely.

His little head slowly turned left... then right... then up. "...Woooow."

I smiled. His tiny hand tightened around mine.

"So big..."

"It is," I replied softly.

Employees began noticing us one by one.

"Good morning, Sir."

"Good morning, Ma'am."

Keifer simply nodded. "Morning."

Kade blinked, then looked up at me. "Mama..."

"Hmm?"

"They know Dada?"

I giggled. "Of course. Daddy works here."

He looked at Keifer with sparkling eyes. "Dada work here?"

"Yes."

He looked around again. "So many peoples..."

"Yes."

Before he could ask another question, a man in a black suit respectfully approached us. "Good morning, President."

Keifer nodded. "Morning."

The man smiled politely at me before looking down at Kade. "Good morning, Young Master."

Kade immediately hid behind my leg. Only half of his tiny face peeked out.

I bit my lip to stop myself from laughing. He had been confidently shouting, "My building!" outside. Now a stranger greeted him... and suddenly he became shy.

The man chuckled softly.

Keifer glanced at Kade. "Say good morning."

Kade peeked again. "...Mowning..." His tiny voice was barely louder than a whisper.

The man smiled warmly. "Good morning."

As soon as he walked away, Kade grabbed my hand again. "Mama..."

"Hmm?"

"He know me."

"He does."

"Why?"

I smiled and gently brushed his hair away from his forehead. "Because you're Daddy's little boy."

He looked up at Keifer, then at me, then smiled to himself.

I had no idea what was going on inside that tiny head. Probably nothing... or probably everything.

Just then, a soft ding echoed through the lobby. Kade's head snapped toward the sound. His eyes became huge.

The elevator doors slowly slid open.

"Ooooo!" He pointed so excitedly that his whole arm shook. "Mama!"

"I know."

"Door open!"

I laughed. "Yes, the elevator opened."

He looked at Keifer. "Dada!"

"Hm?"

"I go!"

He took one tiny step toward it before Keifer gently held the back of his little shirt. "Slowly."

Kade looked back innocently. "I slow."

"You were running."

"I no running."

"You were."

"I walking fast."

I covered my mouth, trying not to laugh. Where did he even learn that excuse?

Keifer raised an eyebrow. "Walking fast?"

Kade nodded very seriously. "Very fast."

Keifer looked at me for a second before the corner of his lips lifted. "Alright." He reached down and took Kade's little hand again. "Let's go see Daddy's office."

Kade gasped. "Dada office?"

"Yes."

His excitement returned instantly. He bounced on his tiny feet. "Dada office!" Then he looked at me. "Mama come?"

I smiled and squeezed his little hand. "Of course. Mama's coming too."

His face lit up once again. "Yay!"

Together, the three of us walked toward the elevator, Kade happily swinging our hands between his tiny ones—completely unaware that almost everyone in the lobby had paused for just a moment to watch the usually cold CEO walk through Watson Enterprises with the two people who meant the most to him.
