Jay's POV.
The lift opened on top floor. Kade was looking around with amusement. Shiny floor and walls and everything screems luxury.
"It butiphul" Kade said.
I chuckled.
There was only few important employees. This floor has Only keifer's office and a big boardroom and cabin of few important employees.
We reached keifer's office and Kade's eyes widened and he immediately ran towards the floor to ceiling window pressing his whole face at the glass to watch the whole city view.
"Do you like this?" Keifer asked him.
"Yeahhhh" he answered still fascinated by the view
Just then the door opened and honey entered.
"The meeting will start in 10 minutes. The Mariano's has arrived" she said.
Oh Percy and our other team members are here.
"Okay we're coming" he replied.
She kneeled down with Kade.
"Hello baby, how are you" she asked him
"Handsome.." he replied proudly
"You really got you tito Percy disease" she said rolling his eyes.
He giggled.
"Let's go" keifer said and picked Kade in his arms.
We headed towards boardroom.
We entered and saw Percy and others were just arrived.
"Titooo pershyyyy" Kade screamed and tried to get down.
"I down , I down" he said trying to escape keifer's arms.
"Easy" keifer said before putting him down. As his little feet touched the ground he ran towards Percy and he caught him.
His little arms wrapped around Percy's neck.
"How is my most handsome nephew?" He asked
"You only has one nephew" I said dryly
"Yeshh only one handsome nep-u" Kade said.
" he got this *handsome* fever from you" I commented.
"Babyyy sister you are just jealous of our both handsomeness" Percy replied and Kade nodded with the most serious expression ever.
I just rolled my eyes so hard that I almost saw my brain.
I watched as Percy twirled Kade around, making him giggle uncontrollably. That sound—pure, innocent joy—never failed to make my heart swell.
"Okay, okay, put him down before he throws up," I said, though I couldn't hide my smile.
Percy pretended to look offended. "I would never make my favorite nephew sick."
"Only nephew," Keifer corrected, stepping closer to me.
Percy waved his hand dismissively. "Details."
Kade was now perched on Percy's hip, looking around the massive boardroom with wide eyes. The long mahogany table stretched almost endlessly, with sleek black chairs surrounding it. A giant screen covered one entire wall, and floor-to-ceiling windows offered a breathtaking view of the London skyline.
"So many chairs," Kade whispered.
"Twenty-four to be exact," Percy said. "Your daddy is very important."
Kade looked at Keifer with stars in his eyes. "Dada important?"
Keifer's expression softened. "Something like that."
"More like the most powerful man in this city," one of the Mariano team members said with a respectful nod.
Kade didn't understand the gravity of those words, but he understood the tone. He puffed out his tiny chest. "My dada."
Percy laughed. "Yes, buddy. Your dada."
I walked toward the head of the table where Keifer usually sat. Today, however, two seats had been positioned side by side at the head—one for him and one for me.
I paused. "You arranged this?"
Keifer pulled out my chair. "You're the heiress of Mariano Crop. You should sit where you belong. Beside me."
My cheeks warmed. Even after two years of marriage, he still made my heart flutter like a teenager.
I took my seat, and Keifer settled beside me. Percy placed Kade in a chair between him and Honey, who had followed us in.
"Alright, little CEO," Percy said, buckling Kade into the chair. "You're going to be very quiet and watch Mama and Dada be powerful, okay?"
Kade nodded seriously. "I powerful too."
"You are," Honey agreed, hiding her smile.
The meeting began.

Author's POV
Keifer's voice commanded the room as he opened the discussion. "Mariano Crop has been a cornerstone of the European market for decades. Under the leadership of the Mariano family, it has flourished. However, with changing times, we believe a strategic partnership would benefit both corporations."
I nodded, picking up where he left off. "My father's health has been declining, and while Percy will step into the role of CEO, we've decided that merging Mariano Crop with Watson Enterprises is the most logical step forward."
Percy leaned back in his chair. "Let's be clear about something. I'm not interested in running things alone. Jay may be stepping back to focus on our family, but she's still the heiress. Any major decisions go through her."
Keifer's jaw tightened almost imperceptibly. "That won't be necessary. Jay and I are partners in every sense. Watson Enterprises and Mariano Crop will operate as sister companies under a unified vision."
I placed my hand on Keifer's arm, feeling the tension beneath his suit jacket. "What Keifer means is that we'll work together. All of us. This isn't a takeover—it's a merger of equals."
The Mariano team members exchanged glances. One of them—a senior advisor named Mr. Delgado—spoke up. "And what about the Mariano legacy? Your father built that company from nothing."
"And he trusted me to protect it," I said firmly. "That's exactly what I'm doing. Merging with Watson Enterprises ensures Mariano Crop remains strong. We'll have access to Keifer's global networks, advanced technologies, and resources that would take us decades to build on our own. In exchange, Watson gains a foothold in markets that have been loyal to the Mariano name for generations."
Kade, who had been quietly drawing on a notepad Honey had given him, suddenly looked up. "Mama smart."
The room went silent.
Then Percy burst out laughing. "He's not wrong."
I felt my face heat up. "Thank you, baby."
Kade beamed. "Mama pretty and smart."
"Okay, that's enough," I said, trying to regain authority. "Back to business."
But Keifer was smiling now—a rare, genuine smile that softened his usually sharp features. "He's right. You are."
I wanted to crawl under the table.
The meeting continued with discussions about shares, operational structures, and legal frameworks. Percy surprised everyone by being sharp and detail-oriented—his flamboyant personality often made people underestimate him, but today he proved he knew exactly what he was doing.
Throughout it all, Kade remained surprisingly well-behaved, occasionally asking Honey for more paper to draw on. By the end, his "artwork" consisted of three stick figures—one tall with black hair, one with long brown hair, and one very small stick figure between them.
"Dis Mama, Dada, and me," he announced proudly when the meeting concluded.
Percy picked up the drawing. "This is going on my office wall."
"Tito Pershyy!" Kade squealed, reaching for him.
The meeting officially ended with handshakes and agreements to finalize the merger within the next month. As people filed out, I noticed Keifer remained seated, deep in thought.
"What is it?" I asked softly.
He looked at me. "You handled yourself well today. Better than I expected."
"Was that a compliment or a backhanded compliment?"
He smirked. "A compliment. You're not the same woman I married two years ago, Jay. You've grown."
I tilted my head. "Is that a good thing?"
"It's the best thing." He reached for my hand and squeezed it. "I fell in love with a woman who was running from her past. Now I'm married to a woman who's building her future."
My heart stuttered. "Keifer..."
"Mama!" Kade's voice broke through the moment. He was running toward me with Percy chasing behind him. "Tito Pershyy say we get ice cream!"
Percy shrugged unapologetically. "What? He's my only nephew. I need to spoil him."
"You just saw him yesterday," I pointed out.
"And? I can spoil him every day if I want."
Keifer stood, adjusting his tie. "Fine. But we're taking the private car. I have a reputation to maintain."
Percy snorted. "Your reputation went out the window the moment you walked through the lobby holding your son's hand like a proud papa."
"Watch it, Mariano."
"Or what? You'll fire me? I'm not even your employee."
"Yet."
I laughed at their bickering as Kade tugged on my hand. "Mama, come! Ice cream!"
"Okay, okay." I lifted him into my arms. "But you have to share with Mama."
He considered this for a moment. "...Maybe."
"Maybe?"
"You share with Dada too?"
I looked at Keifer, who was watching us with such warmth that I felt my heart melt.
"Yes, baby. We all share."
Kade nodded seriously. "Okay. Den I share."
Percy clapped his hands. "That's settled then. Let's go before I change my mind about treating my favorite nephew."
"Only nephew!" Kade corrected loudly.
Percy grinned. "Exactly. Only nephew."
As we made our way out of the boardroom, I caught Keifer's eye. He reached for my free hand, intertwining our fingers.
"Two years," he murmured. "And I still can't believe you're mine."
I squeezed his hand. "Funny. I was just thinking the same thing."
Kade, oblivious to our moment, was already chattering about ice cream flavors. "I wan pink! No—I wan blue! No—I wan rainbow!"
"Rainbow isn't a flavor, buddy," Percy said.
"Is too!"
"Is not."
"Is too!"
"Is not."
"Is too!"
I sighed. "I have two children now."
Keifer laughed—a full, genuine laugh that made several employees stop and stare. The cold, untouchable Keifer Watson, laughing in the middle of his own office corridor.
"Dada laugh!" Kade pointed excitedly. "Dada happy!"
"Yes," Keifer said, pulling me closer. "Dada is very happy."
And in that moment, surrounded by the towering glass and steel of Watson Enterprises, I realized that two years ago, I had walked into this building terrified, uncertain, with a baby in my belly.
Now I was leaving it with my husband, my son, and my family—finally whole, finally home.
---
We ended up at a small, exclusive ice cream parlor that Percy had reserved entirely. Kade was in heaven, his face covered in strawberry ice cream despite wearing a bib.
"Kade, you're a mess," I said, dabbing his face with a napkin.
He grinned, showing his tiny teeth. "Worth it."
Percy nearly choked on his coffee. "Did he just say 'worth it'? Who taught him that?"
Keifer looked suspiciously innocent. "No idea."
I narrowed my eyes. "Keifer."
"What? He's my son. He has my genes."
"Your genes are going to be the death of me."
Later, after Percy had left with promises to return the next day, and Kade had fallen asleep in Keifer's arms, we stood outside the ice cream parlor.
"He's out cold," I observed, watching Kade's peaceful sleeping face.
Keifer adjusted him carefully. "He had a big day. First time at the office, first meeting, first business discussion."
"He called himself handsome."
"He's not wrong."
I snorted. "You are impossible."
"And yet you married me." He leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to my forehead. "Best decision of your life."
"Modest as always."
We walked toward the car, the evening air cool against our skin. London's streets were alive with lights, and for the first time, I felt like I truly belonged here.
"Jay," Keifer said quietly.
"Hm?"
"Thank you."
I looked up at him, confused. "For what?"
"For choosing this. For choosing me. For giving me Kade." His voice was raw, emotional. "I didn't think I deserved any of it."
I stopped walking. Gently, I cupped his face with both hands. "Keifer Watson, you are the best thing that ever happened to me. And I would choose you again. A thousand times."
He closed his eyes, leaning into my touch. When he opened them again, there was something fierce and vulnerable in them. "I love you, Jay."
"I love you too."
Kade stirred slightly, mumbling in his sleep. "Mama... Dada..."
We both looked at him.
"He's dreaming about us," I whispered.
Keifer smiled. "Good. I want him to always dream about us. About this life."
I wrapped my arm around him as we continued toward the car, our son sleeping peacefully between us.
Two years ago, I was lost. Now, I was found.
---
Later that night
I tucked Kade into bed, his small body curled around his favorite stuffed bear—a gift from Keifer on his first birthday.
"Sleep well, my sweet boy," I whispered, kissing his forehead.
He mumbled something incoherent and hugged the bear tighter.
I turned off the lamp and stepped out, closing the door softly behind me.
Keifer was waiting in the hallway, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. His tie was undone, his shirt unbuttoned at the top.
"Sleeping?" he asked.
"Out like a light."
He reached for me, pulling me into his embrace. "Good. Because now I have you all to myself."
"Keifer, it's been a long day—"
"I know." He kissed my neck. "But I've been thinking all day about what I said earlier. About having more mini Watsons."
I laughed softly. "You're insatiable."
"Only for you." He pulled back, his eyes sincere. "But I mean it, Jay. I want more. I want a big family. A house full of laughter and chaos. I want to grow old with you, surrounded by our children and grandchildren."
My eyes stung with tears. "You really mean that?"
"I've never meant anything more." He cupped my cheek. "I spent so many years alone. Building walls. Pushing people away. And then you walked into my life and shattered every single one of them. You gave me Kade. You gave me a reason to wake up every morning. You gave me a family."
I threw my arms around him, burying my face in his chest. "I love you. I love you so much."
He held me tightly. "So... more kids?"
I laughed through my tears. "Yes. More kids. But maybe let me recover from today first."
"Deal." He pulled back and kissed me deeply. "Now, let's go to bed. You've had a long day."
"Are you actually being considerate?"
"Always."
I laughed, letting him lead me to our bedroom.
It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
But it was only the beginning.
