Clad and Jill ended up going to multiple areas of the vibrant sand city before walking near a Smith shop.
"About time!" Clad said as he has been looking for a smith shop this whole time.
"Let's get myself a new sword." He said as he entered the shop.
Clad looks around the stone walls of the store for a new sword, but finds only gauntlets and armor. The two looked at the weapons from afar when they suddenly heard a noise from behind.
"What are you looking for, young man?" A man said.
Clad turned towards the noise and saw a man who appeared to be in his early 30s, with somewhat long brown hair and rabbit ears on his head. His overall appearance seemed relaxed and free of any problems, and he had quite a muscular form.
"A demi-human?" Clad thought to himself.
"What? You've never seen a demi-human blacksmith before?" The man said as he looked at his expression.
"Can't say it's a common sight." Clad replies.
The man burst into laughter at his comment before calming himself down and replying.
"That's true!"
"So, what kind of weapon are you looking for?"
"Swords, spears, shields, daggers, I've got a lot of them."
"A sword."
"The swords are further back."
"Thanks."
Clad and Jill both walked to the back of the store and saw multiple swords on the wall, from big to small, from long to short. There were plenty of fancy blades around to look at.
"Clad, what do you think of this one?" Jill said as she pointed to a straight silver blade with a brown handle.
Clad didn't respond. Something was bothering him, and he couldn't ignore it even if he tried.
"Bad," he muttered.
"What?" She replied.
"All of the swords here don't compare to my old one at all!"
Clad walked out of the back area with no sword in hand and asked the smith if it would be possible for him to smith him a slightly curved blade wich he agrees to in exchange for a gold coin, but upon further inspection, his money doesn't match this kingdom's currency, and the smith tells him that if he could hunt certain monsters, he will make a sword for him out of it and for free.
"So what are those monsters?" He asks.
"The Quetz, for its bones."
"...Quetz?" Clad wondered.
"The Quetz is a giant red bird-like monster, although hard to kill, its body parts make incredible things like medicine or weapons."
"If you get me the bones of one, I'll make you a sword for free, deal?"
Clad couldn't see any issue with this deal, as he doesn't have the money for a sword and hell make him one for free, so he accepts.
"Deal," The man says as he tightly shakes his hand before him, and Jill leaves the shop.
A few minutes go by as Clad and Jill go around asking how they could kill monsters, and a nearby adventurer tells them to get an adventurer's license, which he thanks him for.
"Alright, let's get this license!"
