Chapter 49: BOY!!!

Varion woke slowly, with warmth surrounding him on both sides.

Soft breathing brushed against his neck from the left, and a familiar weight rested across his chest on the right. He blinked the sleep from his eyes and looked down.

Prinz was curled against his left side, her long white hair spilled across his shoulder like silk, one arm draped possessively over his waist. On his right, pressed close with her head tucked under his chin, was Rimuri, her light-blue hair tickling his collarbone, one leg thrown over his thigh.

He didn't remember Rimuri slipping into bed during the night, but the sight of both women curled up against him felt strangely right. A small, fond smile tugged at his lips. He simply shrugged mentally and wrapped an arm around each of them, pulling them a little closer. He wasn't going to question it, Not when it felt good to have 2 women he loved like this first thing in the morning.

A few minutes later, Prinz stirred first. She stretched like a cat, pressing her bare body against his side before lifting her head. Golden eyes met his, still heavy with sleep but sparkling with contentment.

"Morning," she purred, voice husky from the night before. She leaned up and pressed a kiss to the bottom of his jaw.

Rimuri made a soft, sleepy sound and nuzzled closer, her arm tightening around his waist. "Five more minutes…" she mumbled, clearly not ready to let go of the warmth.

Prinz laughed softly and reached over and poked rimuri on the cheek. "Come on, sleepyhead. The village is probably already awake. You're their leader now you have to set an example and run things."

Rimuri finally cracked one golden-yellow eye open, then smiled brightly when she saw both of them. She pushed herself up, still completely naked, and leaned over to kiss Varion good morning.

The three of them lingered in bed for a few more minutes just enjoying each other's presence. Rimuri eventually sat up, stretching with a happy sigh as she looked at the two of them.

"I should go talk to the ogres soon," she said, though she clearly didn't want to leave the bed just yet. "They're probably waiting."

Varion nodded, running a hand down her back. "Alright I guess it's time we get up then."

Once they were presentable, the three of them stepped out into the morning light hand-in-hand, Rimuri on Varion's right, Prinz on his left.

The village was already stirring. Goblins waved cheerfully as they passed. Rimuri gave Varion's hand one last squeeze before letting go.

"I'll handle the ogres," she said, leaning up to kiss his cheek. "I'll catch up with you two later."

"Ok I think im going to go get stuff to make breakfast so don't be late." said varion

-some time later-

Varion stood at the small stove in the kitchen area of his house, flipping strips of bacon and stirring a pan of scrambled eggs. The smell of breakfast filled the air as Prinz leaned against his back with her head on his shoulder watching him cook with a lazy, satisfied smile.

Then through the Soul Corridor, a calm mechanical voice suddenly spoke directly into his mind.

Varion let out a long, fond groan and dragged his hand down his face. "Not again…"

Prinz raised an eyebrow, amused. "What, did rimuri do something dumb again?"

"Every single time she names a big group," he muttered, shaking his head with exasperated affection. "She's going to be out cold for a while."

-One Week Later-

The goblin village had continued to grow steadily over the past seven days.

The six ogres, now evolved into Kijin after being named by Rimuri, had integrated surprisingly well. Benimaru quickly took charge of organizing the village's defenses and training the goblin forces into a proper fighting unit. Thanks to Varion already having laid some groundwork for a small army, Benimaru's job was noticeably easier, he only needed to refine and expand what was already there.

Shuna had taken over making clothes and helping prinz with running domestic affairs, as well as making artistic touches that made the village feel more like a home. Shion had enthusiastically declared herself secretary and bodyguard to Rimuri, Varion and Prinz, following them around with eager energy and trying (with mixed success) to help with administrative tasks.

Souei had disappeared into the forest almost immediately, establishing a silent intelligence network with his clones to keep watch over the surrounding area. Hakurou had become the village's combat instructor, putting the goblins through rigorous sword training. Kurobe had gone to the forge alongside Kaijin and his brothers, producing high-quality weapons and armor at an impressive pace.

Varion and Prinz had spent much of the week helping the new arrivals settle in — Varion working alongside Benimaru and Hakurou on training and organization, while Prinz had Shuna and Shion help her with daily village operations that she had been handling alone. The two of them had grown even closer during this time, their bond deepening over the week.

On the morning Rimuri finally woke from her long recovery sleep, the village was bustling as usual.

She stepped out of the longhouse where she had been resting, stretching her arms above her head with a big yawn. The moment her golden-yellow eyes spotted Varion across the square, her face lit up like the sun.

"Varion!" she called happily, breaking into a run straight toward him.

She launched herself at him for a full-body hug, arms wrapping tightly around his neck as she pressed herself against his chest. Varion caught her easily, but the second she was in his arms he reached up and flicked her hard on the forehead with a solid *thwack*.

"Ow!" Rimuri whined, pulling back and rubbing the spot with both hands, pouting up at him. "That hurt! Why are you being so mean to me the second I wake up?!"

Varion grabbed her cheeks with both hands and stretched them outward, forcing her into an exaggerated pouty face. "Maybe you should tell me before you do stupid stuff like naming six ogres all at once and passing out for a whole week," he said, voice fond but firm. "You can literally just think it at me now. You could have asked for magicules or something. Instead you just went and did it alone again."

Rimuri's eyes watered dramatically as she whined through her stretched cheeks. "Buh ah wath tho exthited…!"

Varion sighed, but the corners of his mouth were twitching with amusement. He released her cheeks and pulled her back into a proper hug, resting his chin on top of her head.

"Just don't scare me like that again, okay?" he murmured, voice softening.

Rimuri hugged him back tightly, smiling into his chest. "Okay… I'll try."

Prinz watched the entire exchange from a few steps away, arms crossed and a fond, slightly amused smile on her face.

-later that day-

Meanwhile, deep in the forest, Gabiru and his entourage of Lizardmen were on a self-proclaimed mission of glory.

They had already "convinced" several smaller goblin villages to join their cause, mostly through loud boasting and the occasional show of force. Gabiru rode at the front on his personal lizard mount, cape dramatically fluttering, while his subordinates chanted his name in perfect unison.

"GA-BI-RU! GA-BI-RU! GA-BI-RU!"

One of the lizardmen scouts leaned in, voice filled with awe. "Lord Gabiru! The next village ahead has reportedly tamed direwolves! A whole pack under their command!"

Gabiru threw his head back and laughed boisterously. "Hah! Of course they have! But even the mighty direwolves will bow before my superior leadership! With such beasts at my side, the Orc Lord will tremble!"

His subordinates cheered loudly, feeding his ego with every step. The group pressed on, banners waving, until they reached the edge of Rimuru's village.

The ostentatious entrance was immediate.

"GA-BI-RU! GA-BI-RU! GA-BI-RU!"

Gabiru struck a heroic pose in the center of the square, one hand on his hip, the other pointing dramatically forward. "I am Gabiru, son of the Lizardmen Chieftain! I have come to graciously offer you weak forest-dwellers the honor of serving under my command in the coming war against the Orc Lord!"

His gaze swept over the gathered villagers and immediately landed on Ranga's pack of direwolves. "Ah! Excellent! Those direwolves will make fine additions to my forces. Hand them over immediately and I shall allow you all to become my loyal subordinates!"

Rimuri jiggled forward, trying to keep things peaceful. "Um, excuse me? We're not really looking to join anyone right now—"

Gabiru finally looked down at the small blue slime and sneered openly. "A mere slime dares to speak for the village? Pathetic. One of these fine warriors must be the true leader. I will not be mocked by a lowly puddle!"

Varion stepped forward beside Rimuri, voice carrying slight irritation. "Look, she said we aren't interested if you could please-."

Gabiru's eyes flicked over Varion with open disdain. "A mere human? Hah! Do not waste my time with your insignificant opinions. Step aside, BOY."

Varion blinked once in surprise, then at Benimaru "did he just call me boy?"

"Yes sir, should I kill him now, it would be a pleasure to do so." He said smiling with a pink flowery background. Varion smiled in the same way "yes thank you."

Rimuri reached over and patted varions arm gently. "It's alright, Varion. Let me handle this."

Varion and Benimaru look disappointed at not being able to skin the lizard.

She turned back to the lizardman and said calmly, "Ranga, could you deal with this?"

Ranga lowered his massive head respectfully. "As you wish, my lord."

He glanced at the sleepy goblin napping nearby. "Gobta. You're up."

Gobta cracked one eye open. "Eh? Why me?"

Rimuri's core glowed with amusement. "If you win this, Kurobe will make you a brand new spear. And if you lose… Shion will cook you a special feast tonight."

Gobta's eyes snapped open instantly, a look of pure terror on his face. "Deal! I'll win!"

The duel was over in less than three seconds.

Gobta used the spear as a distraction, twirling it once before vanishing in a blur of Shadow Motion. He reappeared directly behind Gabiru and delivered a single, devastating kick to the back of the lizardman's head.

Gabiru flew forward like a ragdoll and slammed face-first into the dirt, unconscious before he even hit the ground.

Silence.

The lizardmen stared in stunned disbelief. Then, slowly, they began chanting again.

"Sir GABIRU!!"

They rushed forward, picked up their unconscious leader, and started carrying him away while still chanting his name at full volume. One of them even shouted, "As expected of Lord Gabiru! He was clearly testing the goblin's strength!"

"GA-BI-RU! GA-BI-RU! GA-BI-RU!"

The entire village watched them leave in awkward silence.

Benimaru pinched the bridge of his nose. Shion looked like she was debating whether to chase them down and finish the job. Rimuri just jiggled softly, looking vaguely embarrassed for the lizardmen.

Vario rubbed his temple. "That… was something."

Prinz leaned against his side, trying and failing to hide her laughter. "I think I like this village more every day."

The lizardmen disappeared down the forest path, still loudly chanting the name of their unconscious leader, leaving the village in a state of collective confusion and second-hand embarrassment.

Rimuri sighed. "Well… that happened."
