Chapter 245 - A Change on the Battlefield

Meanwhile...

The Fallen Angel flew toward the battlefield at the greatest speed possible.

It did not take long...

Before he arrived at the battlefield.

The moment he arrived...

He found his king battling far away from the other rulers, ensuring that his clash with the Archangel would not affect the countless warriors fighting below.

The Fallen Angel quickly surveyed the various battlefields.

He saw the Ruler of Fear, the demon with one hundred arms and dozens of eyes, fighting three high-ranking angels at once with terrifying efficiency, showing neither hesitation nor signs of being overwhelmed.

Then he saw the Demonic Saint.

He too was fighting steadily, holding his ground with unwavering determination and refusing to retreat even a single step.

The Fallen Angel continued observing the battlefield.

He noticed that every battle was evenly matched.

Neither side held any real advantage.

Except for one battlefield.

It belonged to the Demon Ruler with the body of living flames.

He was fighting several powerful opponents at the same time.

As the battle continued...

He was slowly being pushed back.

Therefore...

The Fallen Angel immediately decided to reinforce him.

Without hesitation...

He rushed toward him at full speed.

But...

As he flew...

He caught sight of Bloody Mary advancing toward the floating island in the sky.

Her countless black spirits covered the heavens like an endless sea of dark clouds.

He immediately understood...

She intended to erase the angels' stronghold and cut off their retreat by destroying the floating island entirely.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

But...

Just before Bloody Mary's spirits reached the island...

An immense beam of light erupted from it.

The next instant...

A very small sphere emerged from the heart of the island.

Despite its tiny size...

It shot toward Bloody Mary's spirits with astonishing speed.

The moment it collided with them...

Every last spirit was completely erased from existence, as though they had never existed at all.

The Fallen Angel frowned.

He immediately realized...

That tiny sphere was no ordinary object.

It was one of the angels' sacred treasures.

His expression darkened slightly.

But he did not abandon his plan.

Instead...

He continued toward the Demon Ruler of Living Flames, also known as the Lord of Ashes, intending to reinforce him.

He did not spare Bloody Mary another glance.

He knew her strength well.

And he trusted that she could deal with the situation herself.

Across every battlefield...

The demon rulers and the angelic commanders alike sensed the arrival of the Fallen Angel.

The demons rejoiced at his appearance.

The angels...

Immediately grew more serious.

They had held only a slight advantage until now.

But the arrival of the Fallen Angel at the peak of his strength was enough to restore the balance of the war.

The Archangel's guardian, the woman with four wings, looked toward the Fallen Angel.

A quiet frown crossed her face.

Then she turned her attention back to her own opponent.

Her opponent was one of the Demon Rulers...

A being resembling an enormous lake of black mud.

Among the demons...

He was known as the Black Sage.

He was regarded as one of the oldest Demon Rulers, alongside the Ruler of Fear.

Their battle was strangely calm.

Each of them concealed the majority of their true power.

Neither was fighting seriously.

But...

The arrival of the Fallen Angel changed everything.

She knew he had been guarding Treasure Island.

However...

She had assumed he and Medusa were fighting the dragons on the front lines, since dragons despised allowing wars to drag on for long.

Because of that...

She had paid little attention to that front.

Deep down...

She had even hoped that if he returned, both he and Medusa would come back wounded after their battle against the dragons.

But now...

He had arrived at the battlefield completely unharmed.

Without any significant injuries.

That fact disturbed her greatly.

It meant the balance of the war had returned to an even state.

In fact...

The situation had become even more dangerous.

Because she realized...

If Medusa also arrived at the battlefield while still at the height of her power...

The scales would undoubtedly tip in the demons' favor.

Therefore...

Her gaze toward the battlefield became more serious than ever before.

She realized that the war was no longer unfolding as she had expected.

And that from this moment onward...

Even the smallest mistake...

Could hand the demons the advantage they had been waiting for.
