Elsewhere...
Thor, Ran, and Sol had already encountered the dragon.
They could feel its overwhelming aura drawing closer to their position with every passing moment.
So...
The three of them calmly came to a halt in the sky.
Thor looked at Sol and Ran before saying seriously,
"I'll face it head-on."
"The two of you... attack from a distance. Don't give it a chance to focus on me."
A crazed grin spread across Sol's face.
His eyes sparkled with boundless excitement.
Then he shot across the sky at blinding speed, his body enveloped in a destructive crimson aura.
He flew with incredible velocity...
As though he intended to reach the sun itself and draw even more power from it.
After climbing high enough...
He stopped.
Then looked down.
He saw Ran diving into the ocean.
A pure blue aura, as clear as flowing river water, radiated from her body as she calmly descended into the depths of the sea.
Soon...
She completely vanished from sight.
At that moment...
Sol asserted his dominion over the heavens through the power of the sun.
While Ran claimed dominion over the ocean through the power of the rivers.
As for Thor...
He burst into loud laughter.
Then he raised his massive hammer.
The next instant...
Terrifying bolts of lightning erupted from his body, completely enveloping him.
His hair turned a brilliant white.
So did his eyes.
His entire body became shrouded in an immense aura of lightning.
Suddenly...
The dragon appeared on the horizon.
The moment its eyes fell upon Thor...
Its expression changed completely.
Its gaze ignited with madness.
It had caught the scent of the blood flowing through Thor's veins.
It thought to itself with murderous fury,
"He carries the same scent..."
"The blood of that race that dared to attack me before."
In an instant...
The dragon completely lost its composure.
It crossed the distance separating them in mere seconds.
Reaching Thor with a speed that seemed to defy the laws of the world despite its colossal size.
It raised one of its gigantic claws.
And struck directly toward Thor.
It did not intend to kill him.
It wanted to capture him alive...
To learn the whereabouts of those who had attacked it before.
It had no desire to waste time searching for them.
But...
Just before its claw reached him...
It suddenly stopped.
It sensed danger descending from above.
It quickly raised its head.
Only to see...
A second sun.
A terrifying sun unlike the one it knew.
It was an enormous sphere of flames, as large as dozens of ships, plummeting toward it at frightening speed.
The dragon frowned.
It tried to retreat.
But...
At that very instant...
Two colossal hands of water emerged from the depths of the ocean.
They were even larger than the dragon itself.
They suddenly wrapped around its body.
Holding it tightly in place.
Before it could use its strength to break free...
The blazing sun crashed directly into it.
It exploded upon impact.
The flames completely engulfed its body.
Thor stepped back slightly.
Then looked at the scene before him with a calm smile.
He said,
"Looks like we were wrong."
"Even adult dragons..."
"Don't need Loki's tricks to fall into a trap."
"All we have to do is provoke their anger a little..."
"And they'll forget their instincts, acting with nothing but rage and recklessness."
The moment he finished speaking...
The atmosphere suddenly changed.
Every trace of the explosion vanished.
The gigantic hands of water holding the dragon disappeared.
Then...
The dragon emerged from the smoke.
Standing before Thor.
Its body...
Did not bear a single scratch.
Not even the slightest burn mark.
It was smiling.
A cold smile.
Then it said,
"It seems..."
"I underestimated you."
"You insects."
Thor frowned.
His grip on his hammer tightened.
Then he thought to himself,
"It seems..."
"This battle won't be an easy one."
Far away from that battlefield...
In the skies where Odin and Medusa were fighting...
Odin's left eye had already turned completely to stone.
But he did not remain idle.
He immediately called upon the power of the heavens.
Using it to seal Medusa's curse within his eye and prevent it from spreading throughout the rest of his body.
A blue celestial aura surrounded his petrified eye, suppressing the curse and keeping it from advancing.
Odin looked at Medusa.
Then calmly said, as though his injury were nothing worth mentioning,
"Hah..."
"So you're still alive, you little snake."
Medusa was in a miserable state.
Her body was covered in burns and wounds.
Her strength had diminished greatly.
She was still gripping the sacred spear that remained embedded in her body from when Odin had impaled her at the beginning of the battle.
Even so...
She laughed.
Then mockingly replied,
"I won't die..."
"Not until you die, you bastard. And when that happens, I'll devour you just like the dragon you used to capture."
Odin looked at her.
Then...
A faint smile appeared on his face.
A smile...
Filled with malice, cunning, and deceit.
