Chapter 248 - Injury

But...

Odin quickly thought of something.

He raised his right hand and began gathering the power of the heavens into it with every ounce of strength he possessed.

He held nothing back.

Instead, he poured most of his power into this single attack.

He wanted...

More than anything...

To end this battle as quickly as possible.

And so...

He continued compressing the power of the heavens within his palm until the blue aura surrounding him began to tremble violently.

Then...

He transformed that immense energy into a gigantic spear of pure lightning.

It was no ordinary lightning.

It was a spear forged from the very power of the heavens.

The moment Medusa saw that spear...

Her entire body trembled.

For the first time since the battle had begun...

Genuine fear appeared in her eyes.

Her instincts screamed at her.

Run...

If that spear hits you... you will die.

Without the slightest hesitation...

Medusa immediately turned around, trying to escape its path.

But...

It was already too late.

Odin looked at her coldly.

Then he said,

"It's over."

In the next instant...

He hurled the spear with all his might.

The moment it left his hand...

It transformed into a colossal bolt of lightning, as large as Medusa herself—no, even larger—taking the shape of a gigantic spear that tore across the sky.

It shot forward at a speed impossible for the naked eye to follow.

Medusa tried to evade it.

But...

The entire sky was under Odin's control.

And whoever controlled the sky...

Controlled the battlefield itself.

Therefore...

Every time Medusa tried to change direction...

The heavens themselves prevented her escape.

It was as though the entire world had sealed off every possible path to survival.

In the end...

The spear struck her.

The instant it did...

Medusa let out a scream that shook the heavens.

Her cry was filled with unbearable agony.

Then...

A blinding white explosion erupted.

An explosion...

That shook the very foundations of the world.

Even the Demon King...

The Archangel...

The King of the Giants...

And the Dragon King...

Felt it, despite fighting in places unimaginably far away.

Their movements stopped for a brief moment.

Each of them turned toward the source of the explosion.

And they all sensed the same thing.

Danger.

In fact...

They were certain...

That if they had been struck by that attack directly...

They would have been forced to use their full power just to defend against it.

And even then...

They would not have escaped without injuries.

High above the battlefield...

Odin stood silently, staring at the enormous white explosion that had swallowed everything before him.

Lightning danced within it.

Bolts of electricity devoured the sky without end.

Then...

After a long while...

The explosion gradually subsided.

Until its light finally disappeared from the heavens.

But...

The marks it had left beneath the ocean...

Were an entirely different matter.

A colossal crater had been carved into the depths of the sea.

A crater as vast as an entire island.

For a brief moment...

Even the ocean floor itself was laid bare.

Then...

The surrounding waters rushed in from every direction.

Within minutes...

The sea swallowed the crater once more.

As though nothing had ever happened.

Yet...

Anyone who came to that place afterward...

Would still see white sparks dancing across the sky.

They would also witness the enormous scar resting on the ocean floor, left behind by Odin's attack.

And they would find millions of marine creatures floating lifelessly upon the sea's surface...

Silent witnesses to the devastating power of that strike.

Odin shook his head wearily.

His breathing had become much heavier than before.

Then he thought to himself,

"I've erased her from existence."

He turned around.

Ready to return to Asgard and recover his strength.

He had even forgotten to check whether his spear, which had been lodged inside Medusa's enormous body, had survived the attack.

But...

Suddenly...

He sensed something strange.

A chilling sensation...

An overwhelming danger.

His eyes widened.

He spun around instantly.

At that very moment...

He saw a pair of yellow eyes staring at him from behind.

By pure instinct, he shut his right eye.

But...

He did not have enough time to close his left.

The instant his gaze met Medusa's...

His left eye began turning to stone at a terrifying speed, fast enough to be seen with the naked eye.

Odin's eyes widened in shock.

As for Medusa...

She was standing some distance behind him.

She had returned to her original form.

Exhaustion and weakness were clearly written across her body.

Her clothes were torn.

Her body was covered in burns and wounds.

Even so...

A cold smile spread across her face.

She looked at Odin and said with mocking triumph,

"I got you... you bastard."
