Chapter 253 - A grueling battle

Far from Odin's moment of triumph...

Thor was fighting with all his might against the son of the Dragon King in the open ocean, alongside Ran and Sol.

The three fought with astonishing coordination, as though they were a single entity.

Thor advanced first, confronting the dragon head-on in direct physical combat.

Meanwhile, Sol soared high above in the sky, continuously raining streams of flames upon it, attempting to restrict its movements.

At the same time, Ran used the power of the rivers from deep within the ocean to restrain the dragon and prevent it from maneuvering freely.

But the dragon evaded every one of their attacks with terrifying agility, moving like a fish gliding effortlessly through the waves.

Not a single attack landed directly.

It continued fighting Thor head-on, relying on its immense physical strength.

Thor blocked its claws and devastating blows with his hammer and shield, but he was unable to gain any real advantage.

On the contrary...

He began retreating little by little.

The shield covering his body gradually cracked and shattered beneath the relentless force of the dragon's attacks.

Even so...

He did not retreat.

Nor did he consider withdrawing from the battle.

He simply continued fighting with stubborn determination.

Deep beneath the ocean, Ran sensed the danger.

At that very moment, Sol realized it as well.

Without either of them saying a single word...

They reached the exact same conclusion.

They were rulers who had lived together for countless years.

Over time, each of them had learned to understand the others through thought alone, whenever they wished to do so.

Ran gathered the waters of the ocean with all her strength.

Thousands of enormous pillars of water formed around her.

Then she launched them all at once toward the dragon's location.

The dragon was about to evade the attack...

But Sol gave it no chance.

He extended his hand toward the sea below and unleashed his full power.

A gigantic hand made entirely of flames took shape, its enormous size covering the sky.

Then it shot toward the dragon at terrifying speed.

Thor did not let the opportunity slip away either.

He raised his hammer with both hands.

He concentrated his lightning within it until it turned an eerie white.

Then he hurled it toward the dragon with everything he had.

At that moment...

The dragon realized it would be impossible to escape all three attacks.

So it made a strange decision.

It stopped moving completely.

Then curled its enormous body inward until it became a gigantic sphere of red flesh.

At the same time, it unleashed a sea of flames from its mouth, surrounding its entire body with fire and taking shelter within it.

But...

It wasn't enough.

The pillars of water, the flaming hand, and the lightning hammer all arrived at the exact same moment.

They collided with the dragon's body simultaneously.

The next instant...

A colossal explosion erupted.

The entire area shook violently.

The ocean trembled beneath the force of the impact.

Towering waves rose into the air as flames, lightning, and steam spread in every direction.

For a moment...

It looked as though the sea itself had been torn apart.

After some time...

The smoke and mist from the explosion slowly began to clear.

The dragon emerged from within the haze.

Blood flowed from several small wounds scattered across its body.

Meanwhile, in the center of its chest was a blackened, charred area shaped like a hammer.

That was the only injury that could be considered even remotely serious.

The dragon looked down at its wounds.

Then raised its head and burst into thunderous laughter that shook the heavens.

With mocking disdain, it said,

"You little insects..."

"Do you really think something like this will be enough to defeat me, you fools?"

The moment it finished speaking...

It charged toward Thor once again.

But this time...

It was no longer holding back.

It unleashed its full power.

Meanwhile...

Thor no longer had his hammer.

The weapon had been completely destroyed by the combined attack they had unleashed moments earlier.

With his primary weapon gone...

Thor began retreating further and further beneath the dragon's relentless assault.

The balance of the battle gradually shifted in the dragon's favor.

And with every passing moment...

The battle grew more ferocious.

As though its end was still far beyond reach.
