While Layla took the Cancry out and went to grab the McLoud, I had the scanner scan my phone.
My phone which has been upgraded a few times and has crazy computational power. Has now been scanned into the computer.
Using the AR glasses I can enlarge parts I want to see better and even use AI to recognize screws and seams. So I can deconstruct the scanned item and look at the individual pieces.
The only down side is that the precision is lacking.
While it can be used on cars no real problem. When using it on something like my phone, or more precisely the computing chips inside. I can't see the intricate details.
Which is to be expected, the scanner is designed more for general shapes and designs, than intricate details of circuitry.
Layla drove the McLoud into the warehouse and we got to scanning.
It may have seemed like the Cancry was scanned fast, but that was only because it was the first time so we were excited about it and marveling at the scanner sliding on its tracks.
Now, we can really see just how slow this thing is. It took over an hour to fully scan.
Keep in mind to scan through something you have to go in layers. Scanning the same place time and time again the only difference being the depth of the scan.
Once the scan was done Layla took the McLoud back to the car showroom and said that she was going to start working on the parts in earnest.
Which means we were probably going to be spending the night here.
I wasn't going to complain, but that did mean that I should get some things I had been meaning to work on.
I told Layla that I was going home to grab some stuff and that I'd be right back. I took the Cancry and went home.
At home I grabbed a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and a satellite. Oh! I also grabbed one of the empty storage drives.
I packed everything back up into the Cancry and set off back towards the warehouses.
When I got back it was still raining which mildly irritated me, since I had to set the satellite up somehow.
I got everything out of the Cancry and moved it into one of the empty warehouses. Not one that was planned for material storage.
I set the computer and monitor up against the wall by the outlet, everything was just placed on the ground.
I wasn't worried about water leaking in since the concrete was properly sloped.
Then I went outside, grabbed the ladder and climbed up to put the satellite on the roof. I just placed it in a secure place and came back down. I figured the cords could just hang off the side for the time being.
I got everything set back up and the computer turned on.
Before I dove into the computer I needed to handle something else first.
I grabbed a bench vise from the car shop and brought it to the scanning warehouse. Where I set it up to scan the bench vise over and over again. I linked it to my AR glasses so I could gain experience while not being in the same room. Just like I had the drone.
Now while we are trapped inside working I can do what I had been meaning to.
I used my AR glasses to remotely use my computers still at home. I booted them up and started the hacking AI. I then used the full power of 5 top tier super computers to hack into Metube.
Once in I clocked my movements and gave myself admin access. I then pulled up Layla's channel, with her one video.
I then made it so that her video would be recommended to progressively more people every day without passing a certain bench mark. I also made sure that it was recommended only to people that had an interest in cars.
I know that I could have just used paid advertising. But, I was also worried about the negative impact that could have.
If you see a channel with only one video having ads promoting itself, what would you think? Probably something along the lines of, "wow, I guess they have money to throw around, guess I'll hit the dislike button and leave a nasty comment.".
Something along those lines. At least that was what I was afraid of.
So, I decided to just bypass that.
With that done and Layla's Metube fame just around the corner. I decided to move on to what I wanted to work on.
I have been particularly interested in games as of late. Specifically in the creation of games. So I decided to download and install FakeEngine5.
This allows me to make my own games, cool right? I decided to jump right in and test the waters. I haven't watched a single video or tutorial, but I prefer to learn by my own experience.
Once everything was downloaded and I had created the account. I launched the application.
It loaded to 71% then crashed.
Well, that's not good.
I clicked send report and restart.
The same thing happened.
Ok. Now, I'm starting to get pissed.
What's the point of making an application that is supposed to be easy to use to allow lots of people to make games, to just not work.
I looked up what was wrong.
It seems like I now have to open files and look for some specific file name, delete it, then restart it. Because that should fix it.
Like what is the point?
Why even release a product that doesn't work as intended?
You know what I'm over it.
Delete the whole application.
Now download the previous version.
Ok, now start.
30%, ok looking good
50%, not bad, keep it up.
70%, ok the test really starts now.
71%
72%, oh? We're loading something.
80%, oh my god.
99%, please.
100%, THANK YOU!
The application opened right up just like it was supposed to.
See? This right here is what it should have done the first time.
Why would you release a faulty version that requires the user to enter the files at all?
That just makes you look incompetent.
But, at least it's working. Let's see just how "good" this really is.
