Chapter 232 - Chapter 232: I Want to Make Another Hundred Wishes

Scrub! Scrub! Scrub!

But after rubbing for quite a while, Ethan realized that this Aladdin's Lamp had no reaction at all.

'What's going on? Did I use the wrong method?'

Ethan tried opening the teapot lid.

But inside, it was completely empty. There was nothing at all. It looked just like an ordinary teapot.

If it weren't for the prompt he could see, he might have really been fooled by this teapot.

Ethan decided to change the way he called the genie.

"Spirit, get out here!"

No response.

"Genie, hurry up and come out!"

Still no response.

[Aladdin's Lamp: As long as you touch the lamp with your hand, you can make a wish to it.]

[PS: If the genie is unwilling to come out, then there's nothing you can do.]

"Heh!"

When Ethan saw that extra line appear under the prompt, he immediately sneered, "Trying to play tricks with me, huh?"

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Ethan let out a cold laugh.

Then he opened the teapot lid again and shouted into it, "If you don't come out right now, I'm going to spit in there and give you a bath."

Hiss! Hiss!

Sure enough.

The moment those words left Ethan's mouth, a black hole appeared at the bottom of the teapot. From inside the hole, gray mist began to pour out continuously.

The gray mist rushed out of the teapot in a panic and finally gathered into a blurry, slightly distorted fog monster. With its arms crossed, it looked down at Ethan and said, "Are you the brave one who awakened me?"

"Yes!", Ethan couldn't be bothered to waste words with this genie who had clearly been slacking off. He directly asked back, "It says here that once I touch the lamp, I can make one wish, right?"

"That is correct!", The genie nodded, "Whoever clears the three brave trials and stands before me may make one wish! What wish do you want?"

"Hehe! My wish is…"

Ethan rubbed his hands together.

He had been waiting for this chance for countless years.

Ever since he was a kid, watching Aladdin, watching Dragon Ball, whenever the protagonists could make a wish to some magical treasure, but those protagonists always wished for things like love and peace.

He had always been speechless. He had always wanted to ask them.

'Are you idiots?'

'If you say one wish isn't enough, why not just wish for a hundred wishes from the dragon?'

'Today… it is finally my turn.'

He had sworn long ago that once he had this chance, he would shout at Aladdin's Lamp, "I want to make another hundred wishes!"

"Alright!"

To Ethan's surprise, the genie nodded.

He had thought the genie would refuse.

But it agreed so easily?

(*°∀°)=3

But…

'Wait, could this lamp be playing tricks?'

'What if it gives me some book called "How to Make Another Hundred Wishes" or something?'

"Then… can I start making wishes now?", Ethan asked carefully.

He was a little worried the genie might suddenly go back on its word.

However, to his surprise, the fog-made genie nodded again, "Yes! Go ahead!"

'Huh?'

'It agreed again? Something is wrong.'

Ethan decided to test things first. He would use one percent of a wish to ask for something practical, just to make sure this genie wasn't messing with him.

Better start with something simple.

"For my first wish, I want a piece of gold."

"No problem!"

The genie nodded again. Then it casually waved its hand through the air, and a piece of gold actually appeared midair.

The gold that had appeared out of nowhere fell straight to the ground.

Clang!

The sound of metal hitting the floor rang out.

Only then did Ethan finally confirm that the wish-granting genie was real, and that this loophole could actually be exploited.

"Ha!"

'Am I going to get rich now?'

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Ethan hurried over and picked up the gold brick from the ground. It had that cool metallic feel.

It was real, hehe, jackpot.

After putting the heavy gold brick, at least a pound in weight, into his backpack, Ethan immediately saw a prompt appear inside.

[Gold +10]

After storing the gold, Ethan immediately s aid, "Then I'm making my second wish now."

"Alright!"

The genie agreed without any delay.

Ethan thought about it. Anyway, there were still ninety-nine wishes left, so he might as well just throw them out.

"For my second wish, I want one hundred tons of gold."

"For my third wish, I want immortality."

"For my fourth wish, I want eternal youth."

"For my fifth wish, I want everything I think of to come true."

"For my sixth wish, I want to be forever healthy."

"For my seventh wish, I want to be able to regenerate. No matter how badly I'm injured, I won't die."

"For my eighth wish, I want to leave this world and return to my original world."

"For my ninth wish, I want to make another hundred wishes."

After listing everything he wanted for now, he finally stopped.

But before stopping, he made sure to include one more wish to grant him another hundred wishes. That way, he would never run out of wishes.

'Hahaha… I'm a freaking genius!'

However, after the genie quietly listened to all of Ethan's wishes,

it finally opened its foggy mouth and said, "The first wish cannot be fulfilled. The second wish cannot be fulfilled. The third wish cannot be fulfilled...."

As Ethan listened to the genie reject his wishes one after another, he was completely dumbfounded.

'What kind of useless genie is this? It can't fulfill anything!'

'Then what the hell do I need you for!'

But… just when Ethan thought all of his wishes were going to be rejected, the genie nodded when it reached the ninth wish and said, "The ninth wish is acceptable."

"I spit on that!"

Ethan said angrily, "What's the use of the ninth wish being acceptable? Every wish I make, you say you can't fulfill it. Then what the hell is the difference between me making one wish and making a hundred wishes."

"There is a difference," The genie said seriously, "Look, if you had only made one wish, then that wish would have already been fulfilled, and I could have left."

"But because you, you jerk, made a hundred wishes, and then another hundred wishes!"

"Do you know that because of your damn stupid wish, I can't leave now!"

"Heh!"

Ethan also exploded in anger and started arguing with the genie, "If I had known you were this useless, I wouldn't have bothered making a single wish!"

"Then go ahead and make a wish!", The genie sneered, "Wish that all your previous wishes don't count, and that you only want one wish, to set the genie free. Come on!"

"Nope, not happening," Ethan spoke in the most arrogant tone while saying the most cowardly words, "And why should I listen to a lamp telling me what to do?"
