Delilah, however, kept her face turned slightly away, though she didn't pull out of his embrace. Her cheeks were still burning. Her fingers had stopped tracing patterns on his thigh and now rested lightly against his skin, as if she wasn't sure whether to keep touching him or not.
Phei didn't push, he simply held them both, letting the warm water and the quiet steam wrap around the three of them like a secret.
Phei's hand gently stroked Delilah's damp hair.
"Still with us?" he asked quietly, his voice low and warm.
Delilah didn't answer right away.
But she didn't move away either.
Melissa simply smiled against Phei's shoulder and closed her eyes, letting the water and the silence do the rest of the talking for now.
The morning, it seemed, still belonged to them.
Phei's fingers continued their slow, soothing path through Delilah's damp hair, the gesture tender even as dark, satisfied amusement curled low in his chest.
