"What kind of form is that?" Blade wondered.
Yashimiro looked at his hands, surprised by his own new power.
"Yashimiro, is that you?"
"Yes, don't worry, I'm still myself."
Suddenly, Derivan sensed something and vanished from the girls' sight, appearing in a split second in front of Krenom, who was preparing to attack. However, he was surprised to see Yashimiro appear before him, grabbing his arm.
"How did you notice me from that distance?"
"It wasn't hard to sense your evil intentions" Yashimiro said, kneeing his double in the stomach.
Krenom immediately jumped back from Derivan and began firing energy blasts, but Derivan dodged each one effortlessly. Suddenly, he appeared in front of Krenom and struck him in the chin, launching him into the air. Then he appeared behind his double, kicking him in the back and slamming him to the ground.
"Damn it, how is it possible that he became even stronger?"
"What's wrong? Where did all your confidence go?" Yashimiro whispered into Krenom's ear, causing him to jump back instantly.
"When did he? Don't toy with me!"
Krenom rushed to attack, only for Yashimiro to block his strike with one hand and throw his double over his shoulder.
"Damn it!" Krenom refused to give up and attacked again.
The teenager dodged his blows, then suddenly jumped and spun mid-air, kicking his double in the face.
"Is he really from the Shonetsu race? How is it possible that he possesses such immense power?" Even Tortoro was shocked by Yashimiro's display of power.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I have to escape and find the Kinotro crystal."
Krenom tried to flee the battlefield, while Yashimiro stood still as if nothing had happened.
"He's not even trying to chase me…"
Suddenly, Derivan appeared in front of his double with his arms crossed.
"Do you really think you can escape from me?"
"Fuck you!" Krenom created an energy sphere in his hand and tried to strike Derivan.
"Why so rude?" Derivan kicked his arm and followed up with a series of blows to his stomach, finishing with a spinning kick to the face.
Krenom fell to his knees, blood flowing from his mouth.
"Damn it… this wasn't supposed to happen."
Sensing Yashimiro standing over him, Krenom tried to sweep his legs.
"You're pathetic. There's no point dragging this fight out," Yashimiro said, jumping and striking him with a heel drop, driving him into the ground.
Then Derivan placed his hand on his back and, releasing energy around it, pierced his double's body and tore it apart.
"This is the difference between the original and a cheap imitation."
Yashimiro's appearance returned to normal, and the teenager was still impressed by his new power.
"That power was incredible."
"YASHIMIRO!"
After a moment, Kira, Nohara, Blade, and Tortoro arrived.
"Hey, are you okay?"
Kira pushed the hesitant Nohara toward her brother, and she fell into his arms.
"Hey, careful…"
"You idiot," Nohara said, hiding her face in Yashimiro's chest.
"Why are you calling me that?"
"Because we were worried about you."
Yashimiro scratched the back of his head, smiling awkwardly. "Sorry for worrying you."
At that moment, Blade approached him. "Tell me, what was that form you used to fight your double?"
Derivan thought for a moment. "It's hard to describe, but I think it's the result of taking control of Senero 3."
"So there are higher levels?" Blade wondered.
"You can kill me. You're far more powerful than me anyway," the demon admitted, preparing for death.
"Give me a break," Yashimiro replied, surprising him.
"You're letting me go? But I contributed to the extinction of your race."
"I don't care. The only Shonetsu I've ever known are my mother, my sister, and Blade."
"If you're too soft to kill him, I'll gladly do it and avenge my comrades."
Blade tried to attack Tortoro, but Yashimiro stopped him by grabbing his arm.
"What are you doing? Let go of me!"
"Let it go, Blade."
"What? That bastard killed my comrades, and I'm supposed to forgive him?"
"No. But if you do it, you won't be any different from him. Even if you take revenge, all you'll feel is emptiness. That momentary satisfaction will quickly fade. I know what I'm talking about I've tasted revenge myself," Yashimiro said, releasing Blade's arm.
"Listen to my brother. Revenge isn't the answer," Kira added. "It's better to let him atone for his sins."
Blade muttered under his breath and lowered his hand. "Fine but only if you give me a fragment of the Kinotro crystal."
"As for that… when I transformed into a dragon, it slipped off my neck and could be anywhere on this island."
"In that case, we need to split up and search every part of the island," Derivan announced with an excited grin.
The others agreed and began their search. For several hours, the group searched the island for the Kinotro crystal, but without success.
"Did you find anything?" Derivan asked.
"Unfortunately not," Kira replied.
"Damn it, it couldn't have just vanished," Blade added.
"Wait… has anyone even seen Lucas?" Nohara noticed.
"Now that I think about it, the last time I saw him was during the fight between Derivan and Tortoro," Eryk said.
"Wait, Kira do you remember what that guy said, that someone took his appearance?"
"Yes."
"Then it must have been Camereon. That bastard Gerard must have sent him here to get the crystal," Blade concluded.
"Wait, so this Camereon belongs to the Black Blood group?"
"Exactly."
"In that case, if they already have one fragment, we need to go to Kasegi to deal with Borner and secure the other fragment," Nohara suggested.
"You're right, but first we need to go to the Magic Council to prove my innocence and free Ronibo."
Yashimiro ran to where his double's body lay and cut off Krenom's head.
"Alright, let's go. There's nothing left for us here."
Tortoro stood at a distance, watching them leave the island, wondering about his life and everything he had done so far.
"What should I do now?" he thought, looking at the sky.
After returning from the Island of Forgetting, Derivan immediately went to meet the Magic Council to present his double's head as proof of his innocence.
"Here you wanted proof that I wasn't behind all this. Now you have it."
"Impossible…"
"Well done. You may release Ronibo," Leon announced.
A moment later, members of the Magic Council brought Ronibo in.
"Yo, master!"
"Ronibo, was it thanks to you that I was freed"
"Of course. No need to thank me."
"I guess I really owe you."
Meanwhile, Camereon arrived at the Black Blood hideout.
"I did it. I obtained a fragment of the crystal."
"Excellent. I knew I could count on you," Gerard said, taking the crystal. "We're getting closer to achieving our plan."
