Chapter 123: Garp and Roger Arrive Together
Clutching the long spear in his hand, Luo Han's eyes gleamed with excitement. With a single thought, his telekinesis flowed into the weapon, and he used his spiritual sense to carefully analyze its aura and structure.
"This… counts as another application of aura, doesn't it?"
Previously, the aura he sensed in Golden Lion's slash was one of sharpness — a type of attribute.
As someone who had played games in his past life, Luo Han instantly realized he could take aura to the next level. It was like enchanting a basic weapon with attribute boosts until it became a legendary item — or even buffing people the same way. Not only could he become invincible, he could also mass-produce overpowered allies.
But in the end, Luo Han chose not to enchant weapons or himself for permanent use.
He had considered reinforcing his own defenses to become an unbreakable tank, but it didn't work. Aura naturally dissipated over time — it couldn't be held indefinitely, making it impractical.
However, with his mind powers now more active than ever, Luo Han discovered a new function: the Telekinetic World.
It allowed him to "solidify" imagined constructs. For example, the Mind Armor Mode — which initially required constant focus — could now be summoned like clothing from a closet, pre-made and ready to wear.
Now, Luo Han was attempting to create a telekinetic spear this same way. The key was perfect replication; only then could the spear be stabilized and reusable, unlike Mind Armor which benefited from physical energy fusion.
This was why Luo Han focused his spiritual sense so deeply on the spear's structure — he wanted it perfectly duplicated in telekinetic form.
After a short time, he succeeded.
A glass-like telekinetic spear appeared in his hand. It felt like it had weight, yet was unaffected by gravity, still quick and light to wield.
Then, Luo Han reinforced it with the strongest sharpness and durability auras he could muster.
The result was dazzling: a radiant, golden spear emitting a faint hum. When the breeze brushed past it, it hissed; tapping the shaft produced a clear, metallic ding, dense and seamless.
The only issue?
"It's… blindingly gold! No wonder she called it 'Golden Sparkle!'" Luo Han muttered. "Still, the real miracle is next."
With a flick of his hand, the spear vanished. Six spatial ripples — invisible whirlpool-like distortions — appeared behind him. From these, six golden spears slowly emerged.
"Success! It worked!" Luo Han was ecstatic. The spears, now fully integrated into his Telekinetic World, retained their aura-infused properties. He no longer had to reapply the auras each time.
…
For the next few days, Luo Han remained on the mountaintop experimenting.
He even imbued his spears with the explosive aura of cannonballs. The actual results would have to be tested on an unlucky opponent someday.
Hehehe! Luo Han chuckled to himself, half excited, half devious.
On the fifth day, both Garp and the Roger Pirates arrived almost simultaneously — each reaching a point twenty kilometers from Battleship Island.
"They're here."
Luo Han opened his eyes as noon sun bathed the mountain. He had kept his spiritual sense active for days, anticipating their arrival.
"I better meet them at sea. If we fight here, the island might not last."
He glanced down at the bustling island below, then flew toward the approaching ships.
"Roger and Garp are here. I'll handle it. Spoon-jie, Cole — just stay on the island."
Spoon-jie had been about to fly up to inform Luo Han of their arrival. Hearing his voice in her ear, she froze, then smiled, shaking her head. She nodded — got it.
Cole, deep in thought about his own abilities, also paused — then nodded firmly.
Out at sea, Luo Han arrived to see two ships parked just 200 meters apart: a Marine warship and a standard pirate ship with Roger's flag. Neither crew made a move. The tense stillness made the scene feel… surreal.
"What's this? Pirates and Marines working together now?" Luo Han teased with a smirk. He knew it was coincidence — but seeing the future Pirate King and Marine Hero arriving together for him… was a rare sight.
On both ships, Garp and Roger stiffened awkwardly.
They hadn't expected to arrive at the same time — let alone be caught red-handed by Luo Han.
"Brat! You're still responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Marine soldiers. I won't let you live freely on Battleship Island!"
"And you hurt my crewmates. I can't ignore that. We need to settle this!"
Garp and Roger spoke one after the other, serious and resolute.
"Oh? You two are surprisingly in sync." Luo Han's smile faded as his aura intensified. "So you're both here to fight? Fine. Whether you're Marines or pirates — I'll take you both on."
Woosh… Behind him, rippling distortions appeared in the air.
Golden spears began to rise one by one — glowing and menacing.
"What the hell are those?"
"Hey hey hey, Rayleigh! You said something about rocks and snakes — this ain't that!" Roger turned toward his first mate, confused.
"I don't know either! Maybe it's a new ability? The kid's Fruit powers develop insanely fast," Rayleigh replied with a helpless smile. "It's been a few months — everything's changed again."
While Roger's crew looked amazed, Garp just burst out laughing.
"Oi! Kid! What's this—some kind of circus show? They're even sparkly!"
Luo Han smirked. "Then let me show you what these sparkles can do, Garp."
Whoosh!
One golden spear shot forward like a lightning bolt, cutting through the air and leaving a burning trail. It reached Garp in a flash.
"Whoa! That's fast!" Garp had no time to counter. He crossed his arms, fists hardened with Armament Haki.
CLANG!
The golden spear struck his fists with a high-pitched metallic sound. Sparks flew.
"So sharp! And powerful!"
Garp's forearms stung from the impact. Then — BOOM! — a shockwave exploded outward, blowing him through the deck. A gaping hole remained where he'd stood.
"Vice Admiral Garp?!"
The nearby Marines rushed to the hole, calling down in panic.
Looking at the hole, then at the countless glowing spears behind Luo Han, the Marine soldiers began to sweat — drenched in cold fear.
