Chapter 124 - Chapter 124: Roger’s Heavy Slash

Chapter 124: Roger's Heavy Slash

Shing, shing, shing...!

All of the Roger Pirates, except Roger himself, unsheathed their swords with tense expressions. The power of that golden spear was already terrifying enough — and now the sky was filled with dozens more, glowing brilliantly. One by one, they swallowed hard.

"This isn't looking good, Rayleigh," Gaban muttered, trembling behind him.

The original plan had been to avoid fighting on the island at all costs — just in case that brat started unleashing his "infinite firepower" rock-barrage mode again. But now? He didn't even need rocks. And this new golden spear version looked even more condensed and powerful. How were they supposed to deal with that?

The crew anxiously looked at Roger, waiting to see what he would decide.

Roger, of course, chose to fight. He never once thought he was weaker. In his mind, it was Garp who was too slow to react — that's all.

"Luo Han, your ability is seriously strange! And now that I think about it, we've never fought before… Let's fix that."

Roger's eyes locked on Luo Han high above. He shifted into a ready stance — right foot forward, left hand behind him holding his sword sheath, right hand gripping the hilt.

"Draw Blade: One Slash of Ten Thousand Cuts!"

He whispered those words — and in an instant, everyone watching could see the illusion of thousands of blade draws collapsing into a single flash.

SHING!

A massive crescent-shaped slash wave shot upward at Luo Han.

Luo Han had already activated his Mind Armor the moment Roger began charging up. His face turned serious as the slash wave closed in from below. He clenched his right fist, coated in Mind Armor, and threw a punch.

CLANG! Zzzzzz!

"So heavy!"

That was Luo Han's immediate reaction. Unlike Golden Lion's ultra-sharp attacks, Roger's slash carried an unimaginable weight — as though the entire world pressed down on him. It was suffocating.

Crack! Crack crack!

"This... isn't working. It's too strong!"

This was the first time Luo Han had encountered a slash so heavy. His right arm began trembling uncontrollably under the pressure, as though the gears of a machine were about to snap under strain.

Left with no choice, Luo Han redirected some of his golden spear telekinesis to strengthen his Mind Armor. Then, with a powerful strike, he diverted the slash wave to the lower left, down into the ocean.

Shing!

The sea split open like a canyon — the slash sliced all the way to the ocean floor, the edges smooth and clean. Roger's attack power was no joke.

Fortunately, Luo Han's Mind Armor had evolved. It now included not just his physical strength but also the reinforced durability aura — making his defenses monstrously strong. Even Roger's slash didn't leave a single scratch.

"You guys are pretty strong, huh? Roger. Garp."

Luo Han floated into position between the two ships. The golden glow behind him still shimmered, dozens of golden spears pointed toward both vessels.

"Let's go all out today. I'll give you a moment to let your crews back off. Come at me together if you want — I don't mind. You've seen my ability: infinite firepower mode. Perfect for clearing cannon fodder."

Luo Han was clearly excited. The way he spoke even sounded a bit punchable.

"What?! Blue Demon, you bastard! Did you just call us cannon fodder?!"

The Marines and Roger's crew gritted their teeth, glaring at Luo Han, flames in their eyes.

Back on their ships, Garp and Roger's expressions darkened — and then they burst out laughing.

"Haha! You're not wrong, kid. But we're not backing off because our crews are weak. We just don't want to bully a kid, got it?" Roger laughed heartily.

He then waved off his crew. They didn't argue — partly out of trust in Roger, and partly because they weren't keen on ganging up on Luo Han. This wasn't like the last time.

"Vice Admiral Garp!"

The Marines, too, hesitated — clearly worried.

"Get going. You'll just die if you stay here. That kid isn't some gentle soul," Garp growled. "And seriously — if he dares to face us alone, how can the Navy pile on?!"

That shut them up. After a brief hesitation, they left.

Soon both sides sailed away, leaving only Luo Han, Garp, and Roger.

The two veterans stepped onto the air using Geppo, forming a triangle formation around Luo Han.

"Luo Han, honestly — with your power, I'm surprised you're still with the Rocks Pirates," Garp said thoughtfully. "What's your goal?"

He had wondered about this for a long time. Luo Han clearly hated being controlled — Garp had seen it in his eyes from their first meeting. With his current strength, there was no reason to stay under anyone's thumb.

Luo Han, of course, wasn't thinking that deeply. Maybe he just wanted to witness the God Valley Incident and see how Rocks would fall. But none of that could be explained aloud.

"I'm a coward. I stay because I'm afraid to leave. That's why all my powers are defense-focused," Luo Han said with a smirk. "Didn't you notice? That last hit didn't even hurt you much. Just gave you a bruise."

"Pffft—hahaha!"

Garp laughed. "You're terrifying. And you haven't even used Haki once. Don't try to tell me you can't use it — I wouldn't believe that in a million years."

"Why haven't you, though?" Garp asked, eyes narrowing.

Before Luo Han could answer, Roger exploded.

"These two bastards! Am I invisible?!"

Roger had been silent all this time, watching them chat like old friends. He was here to fight, not make small talk!

Enough was enough — he launched two slash waves, not at them directly, but as a signal.

SHING! SHING!

Both Garp and Luo Han paused mid-sentence as the slashes roared past. The battle had officially begun.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Garp and Roger, without even coordinating, both lunged at Luo Han.

"Shameless!!" Luo Han muttered, twitching. Apparently, both of them had unresolved grudges.

With a thought, whoosh whoosh! two golden spears launched toward them at high speed.

CLANG! Zzzzzz!

This time, Garp blocked it properly. He wasn't blown away — he even managed to knock the spear aside after a brief clash.

Clearly, the first time had only gone poorly because he hadn't been ready.

SHING!

Roger deflected his incoming spear with a smooth, precise slash, redirecting it with a shriek of friction. It was a textbook example of using soft to overcome hard — effortless.

"Haha! Luo Han, your attacks don't do much against me!" Roger laughed, sheathing his sword. He chose not to attack further — instead standing back to let Garp and Luo Han continue their duel.
