Chapter 221: Kotoamatsukami Unleashed—Sora's Submission
Back to the calm morning, four years later.
After breakfast, the Penguin continued its slow journey.
Their destination: an uninhabited island.
This was a request Luo Han made four days ago.
The three women didn't quite understand why—but they didn't object.
After "friendly negotiations" with several pirate crews, they got the coordinates to a small island named Crescent Island.
According to their route, they'd arrive by this afternoon.
…
Crescent Island
A small island discovered through pirate intel. As its name implied, it had a crescent-moon-shaped ridge surrounding a white, pebbled beach—smooth and polished by tide. At high tide, the beach was completely submerged.
The four arrived on the Penguin, circling to the far side of the island, where waves crashed fiercely against the cliffs.
Today, the sea was rough.
Yet the Penguin remained stable—completely unaffected by the raging waters.
On deck—
At the ship's bow, Ellis stared suspiciously at Luo Han and Sora.
"You two… want to go alone to an uninhabited island…?"
Her emphasis on uninhabited was intentional.
After all, it was Luo Han who insisted on going alone with Sora—and not letting her or Akatsuki follow.
She couldn't help but let her imagination run wild. Over the past two years, Luo Han had come up with all kinds of new "exercise routines" for thrills:
High-altitude "aerobic workouts," mountaintop "stretching routines," underwater "splashing sessions"…
None of these came from Tengetsu. Ellis was sure of it.
No—these were entirely Luo Han's inventions.
And Luo Han knew exactly what she was thinking.
After two years of "sparring," they could read each other like open books.
But this time was different.
He spoke seriously, "You two stay here. No matter what you sense later, don't come after us."
Both Ellis and Akatsuki had highly developed Observation Haki.
Especially Akatsuki —after receiving the talent flame and the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, her strength had skyrocketed.
Her Observation Haki had evolved to the point of sensing conversations across great distances—like Enel.
But because of her early physical stiffness and her naturally sharp mind, Akatsuki had developed her Haki in a unique way—eventually allowing her to see into the future, up to five minutes ahead.
When Luo Han first discovered this, all three of them were stunned.
So now, he made sure to warn them in advance—so they wouldn't "accidentally" interrupt him.
"…Fine. You two go. We won't interfere," Ellis said, hiding her curiosity.
Akatsuki nodded in agreement.
Sora, meanwhile, had been silent the whole time. Her face emotionless, her presence like that of a machine.
Ellis and Akatsuki assumed Luo Han must've said something serious to her, but the truth was… Sora had a deep, growing sense of unease.
She knew something was about to happen—maybe her identity was about to be exposed.
She wasn't sure—but she could feel it:
Today, something would change.
As expected from a top-tier operative, Luo Han thought. Even without future sight, she sensed the danger.
He smiled and said simply, "Let's go."
"…Mm."
Sora's response was cold, detached—like a robot.
With a thought, Luo Han lifted them both off the ship.
They traced an arc through the air and landed in the crescent-shaped bay—still untouched by tide.
Behind them, Ellis frowned.
Her spiritual sense was sharper than Akatsuki 's. She noticed that something about Sora felt… off.
"Akatsuki , did you notice? Sora's not acting normal today."
"Mm."
Akatsuki thought back to Luo Han's warning. "Leave it to Luo Han. Maybe this is exactly why he told us not to interfere."
"Can you see what's going to happen?"
Ellis knew Akatsuki could peek into the near future.
"…No."
Akatsuki shook her head. "Luo Han blocked my view."
That was a lie.
She had seen it.
But she didn't say anything—worried Ellis might interrupt.
Over the past two years, because Sora had also become one of Luo Han's women, the dynamic between the three of them had evolved into something like sisterhood.
Their intimacy had brought their bonds closer—especially between Ellis and Sora.
So Akatsuki kept it to herself.
"…Really nothing?"
"Really."
Ellis looked at her calm face.
Sigh… She didn't believe her—but couldn't detect any lies either.
Two years ago, when Luo Han gave Akatsuki the flame aura, her upper-body stiffness had gradually healed.
Now, she looked and moved just like anyone else.
Still, that ever-rational expression remained unchanged. Only when fooling around with the others did she show more emotion.
Ellis looked out at Crescent Island, a hint of worry flashing in her eyes.
I hope Sora's okay…
…
Crescent Bay
Luo Han and Sora stood ten meters apart, silent.
Sora's aura steadily surged—but never leaked more than half a meter.
Her control over both body and mind was flawless.
Luo Han's eyes were on her—but his focus was deep within her spiritual world.
Human memory is stored deep in the mind.
The older the memory, the deeper it lies—manifested as spiritual vibrations.
Luo Han was searching through those vibrations—looking for a ripple among the still waters of her long-buried memories.
Sora began to frown.
My head… it hurts…
"It's you, isn't it—Luo Han?"
She couldn't see what was happening in her spiritual world, but she knew.
Only he had such abilities.
Over the past four years, she had learned the true extent of Luo Han's powers.
Beyond telekinesis, the scariest was his ability to manipulate the five senses.
He had used it on her before—that helpless, overwhelming wave of emotional and physical surrender.
Even though the Five Elders had assigned her to seduce him…
…being passive and being controlled were very different things.
If not for her mental resilience, she might have already fallen.
No… not might. I have fallen. I love him.
But even love hadn't broken her loyalty to the World Government.
Yet the fear in her heart grew stronger by the second.
If she didn't act now, it might be too late.
She didn't want to become a puppet.
She remembered how it felt—briefly, on Fishman Island—when that blond fishman controlled her.
She never wanted to experience that again.
Without hesitation, she struck.
In a flash, she was in front of Luo Han.
Her legs, wrapped in black Armament Haki, swept toward his waist in a powerful kick—aimed directly at the source of his manhood.
CLANG!
A thunderous impact.
Waves of force exploded from the point of contact. The white stone beneath them cracked into a deep crater.
"That kind of strength… Not your average vice admiral level. No wonder they sent you to spy on me," Luo Han said with a smile, calmly holding off her attack with mental armor.
"You knew…"
Sora narrowed her eyes.
"When did you find out?"
Luo Han smirked. "If I told you, you'd cry. Want me to tell the Five Elders instead?"
"What…?"
Her body suddenly froze.
Before she could react, Luo Han waved his hand—and a tiny Den Den Mushi flew out from her chest.
"This is your communicator, isn't it?"
He grinned. "You always hid it in your hair during our 'workouts.' How did you keep it from flying off with all that shaking?"
Sora ignored his teasing, staring at the snail.
Wait…
"It's not connected?! I called the Five Elders!"
"Too bad," Luo Han said. "You should know better. A Den Den Mushi is a living creature."
"They're easy to control."
"No matter how often you tried to connect—it never reached them. This little guy doesn't even recognize the Elders anymore."
Sora's face collapsed. Tears welled up.
"Don't turn me into a puppet… Please…"
"I love you. Just give me more time. I'll abandon the Government. I'll devote myself to you. I swear I won't betray you!"
Sora was truly terrified. She was a spy, yes—but one with her own will.
And in this world, those without willpower never become strong.
She didn't want to lose herself.
Honestly, if she had been sincere, Luo Han might have let her go…
But no. He knew she'd never truly submit.
Better to let Kotoamatsukami handle it.
"I beg you, Luo Han! We've been together so many nights—don't be so heartless!"
Luo Han twitched.
Damn it—that's my line!
He quickly closed his eyes. He couldn't afford to get soft.
He dove deeper into her spirit—searching for the exact moment her core identity had formed.
"Luo Han!! Ellis —help me!"
Sora screamed.
She hadn't raised her voice until now—hoping to draw Ellis ' help without revealing too much.
But Luo Han wasn't worried.
Akatsuki will stop her.
And sure enough…
…
CLASH!
A thunderous clash of fists erupted mid-air—blue lightning arcing outward.
"Back off!"
Ellis ' expression was grim. Her nature energy surged, her hair rising.
Akatsuki stood before her—expressionless, surrounded by crackling thunder.
Fifteen meters tall, she looked like a thunder goddess.
"You heard her scream!"
"I did. So what?" Akatsuki replied calmly. "Luo Han said not to interfere. Don't you trust him?"
"Our relationship isn't yours to judge. But you—don't forget, I taught you Haki and the Six Styles!"
Ellis attacked.
Akatsuki didn't flinch. She met the punch head-on.
BOOM!
Air rippled. They clashed.
Ellis gritted her teeth.
She couldn't believe it—Akatsuki had blocked a full-powered punch from her.
"Stop this, Sister Ellis ," Akatsuki said. "If it were serious, Luo Han would've said so."
Ellis finally backed down.
Boom! A final burst of air, and she flew back to the ship in silence.
Akatsuki exhaled slowly. Good. I couldn't take another round.
…
Sora gave up on help.
She focused entirely on one thought—one memory.
Unfortunately, that's all Luo Han needed.
Her spiritual world flared.
There!
Luo Han found the ripple—a traumatic moment.
He synchronized his mental waves and entered.
He saw it all:
Sora's village destroyed by pirates. Her parents killed.
Sold to the World Government. Trained by CP…
Age 5. Her mind, a blank slate.
Easy to mold. A perfect spy.
This is why, Luo Han thought, even though she loves me—her will remains loyal to the Government.
But now I know how to change that.
Like in stories from his previous life, it wasn't logic or persuasion that changed someone's heart.
It was trauma.
A major life event. A moment that reshaped a person's identity.
Now, Luo Han just had to frame Sora's emotional shift—the moment she fell for him—as that defining event.
If done right, she would believe that her loyalty had changed on her own. Not through manipulation.
Perfect.
This was the true Kotoamatsukami.
Not planting a seed—but rewriting a person's identity from within.
And it worked.
With her love as the trigger, Luo Han used Kotoamatsukami to anchor a new core belief: absolute loyalty to him.
When it was over…
Both opened their eyes.
Luo Han stayed silent, waiting to see what Sora would say.
"Luo Han… please let me go this time. I'm really yours now."
"I'll tell you everything—the Five Elders' plans, my mission, everything I know about the Government."
"I swear… I'll never betray you again."
Success.
Luo Han felt both joy and a chill.
Thank the heavens he had this power. If someone else had it… he wouldn't want to live in that world.
