Chapter 163 - Chapter 163: Collapsing the Great Spirit Arena

Chapter 163: Collapsing the Great Spirit Arena

The fifth spirit skill—Majestic Evil Aura.

It weakened all targets within range by fifty percent and imposed an overwhelming sense of dread and pressure.

Within the oppressive aura, the members of Tianshui Academy felt as if a mountain were crushing them.

They struggled desperately to stand, but in the next instant, the spreading wave of dark energy surged forward like a raging tide, sweeping them all clean off the stage.

From the Heaven Dou Royal Academy rest area, every team member stared wide-eyed, exchanging stunned looks—especially the first team, who had once experienced this same technique firsthand.

They, too, had fallen to this exact skill.

In the Shrek Academy section, Tang San's eyes were locked on Luo Ling's figure amid the swirling evil mist. Even from the audience stands, that suffocating aura sent chills creeping over his skin.

"Teacher, what kind of spirit skill is that?" Tang San asked, unable to hold back.

Yu Xiaogang's face showed visible awe. After a brief pause, he murmured, "That should be a domain-type spirit skill."

"Domain-type?" Tang San pressed.

Yu Xiaogang cleared his throat and continued, "Domain-type spirit skills are among the most powerful abilities in existence. As the name suggests, they generate a field that the user controls—large or small—within which they gain significant enhancements while simultaneously suppressing their enemies."

"Judging by what's happening onstage, Luo Ling's domain enhances his control over his evil attribute while exerting crushing pressure on Tianshui Academy. Those girls can barely move inside his domain."

Hearing that, Tang San's expression darkened further.

Such skills were incredibly powerful—and Luo Ling had one, not him. If only he could obtain a domain of his own…

"Teacher," he asked, voice filled with hope, "do you know what kind of spirit beast could grant a domain-type skill?"

Yu Xiaogang sighed quietly. He understood perfectly well what Tang San was hoping for.

Who wouldn't desire such immense power? But domain-type spirit skills were incredibly rare. He had only ever read about them—and this was the first time he'd seen one with his own eyes.

"Little San," Yu Xiaogang said gravely, "domain-type abilities are not only the strongest but also the most mysterious. I've only ever read descriptions about them. Information is scarce. Luo Ling must have been extraordinarily lucky to obtain one."

Hearing that, Tang San's hope crumbled. His gaze flickered as he looked back toward the stage, eyes burning dimly.

On the arena, only Luo Ling and two opponents remained: Shui Bing'er and Xue Wu.

Luo Ling had deliberately spared them to see their fusion technique in action.

"Use your Martial Spirit Fusion Skill," his calm voice echoed through the darkness. "Otherwise, this match will be over."

Shui Bing'er clenched her teeth, struggling within the crushing weight of the evil domain. Only now did she truly comprehend that Luo Ling hadn't been exaggerating—he truly possessed the power to fight all seven of them alone.

Gritting her teeth, she turned to Xue Wu. "Xue Wu, prepare for the Martial Spirit Fusion!"

Without hesitation, Xue Wu nodded and stepped to her side.

The two girls clasped hands, their figures blending into one as a pillar of crystalline blue light shot skyward.

Their fusion skill—Falling Ice and Snow—activated instantly.

The gentle rain that had been falling transformed into swirling snowflakes, each glimmering petal sharp as the edge of a blade. The snow spun together in midair, forming a magnificent vortex of ice.

Luo Ling didn't move. He simply stood there, calmly watching.

The technique was beautiful and deadly—but against Luo Ling, it was little more than a display.

He even deactivated the suppressive effects of his domain on the two of them, allowing their fusion ability to manifest at its full might.

Around the arena, every spectator watched in silent awe. The sheer beauty of Falling Ice and Snow drew gasps of admiration, while Luo Ling's unshaken composure inspired equal amazement.

"Be careful!" Shui Bing'er's voice called out from within the radiant light.

In the next moment, the dazzling snow vortex surged downward, crashing toward Luo Ling like an avalanche.

He glanced up, a trace of amusement flickering in his eyes. The evil energy around him rippled, rising like an invisible wall to meet the torrent head-on.

The two forces collided—a spectacle of blinding contrast. Light and darkness divided the stage perfectly in half, each side fiercely resisting the other.

Luo Ling's expression didn't change. This outcome didn't surprise him; in fact, he hadn't even used his full strength. Had he truly wanted to, the ice vortex would have been shattered long ago.

His extreme darkness far surpassed Shui Bing'er's yet-unperfected mastery of ice. And in terms of spirit power, he completely overwhelmed her—even while facing their fused strength.

From within the pillar of blue light, Shui Bing'er's face paled. She had given everything she had, yet Luo Ling's aura held firm, unmoved.

Taking a sharp breath, she made her decision—her last gambit.

A clear, phoenix-like cry rang out from within the blinding glow. The swirling snow that had formed the attacking vortex suddenly soared upward, converging high in the air.

At last, Shui Bing'er revealed her true martial spirit—a top-tier Ice Phoenix.

The scattered ice and snow condensed together, forming a majestic creature—a seven-meter-long cerulean phoenix that shimmered like frozen crystal.

"This is my final attack. Even I can't control it," Shui Bing'er's voice rang out. "If you can withstand it, the victory is yours!"

Her pride as a spirit master burned brightly—she would not hold back an ounce.

The Ice Phoenix swooped downward with a shattering cry, unleashing a flood of chilling energy that engulfed the battlefield.

Luo Ling watched the breathtaking scene with a faint smile.

Raising his black scythe, he vanished from sight—and reappeared an instant later directly before the phoenix's face.

The air vibrated as he whispered softly, "Darkness Severance."

It was the same simple yet devastating attack he had once used to defeat Yu Tianheng and Tai Long with a single strike.

This time, however, he infused it with slightly more power.

A beam of black light sliced through the air, effortlessly cleaving straight through the Ice Phoenix.

Within the collapsing blue radiance, Shui Bing'er felt her control vanish in an instant. The energy dispersed, disintegrating into the wind.

Her form and Xue Wu's reappeared, plummeting gently back onto the stage.

But Luo Ling's black strike didn't stop there.

The beam of darkness continued rising into the air, and under the horrified eyes of countless spectators, it struck the upper sidewall of the Great Spirit Arena.

A thunderous explosion followed as the massive stone structure cracked and collapsed, sending clouds of dust billowing through the stands.

Panic rippled through the audience. Screams filled the air as people scrambled toward the exits, fleeing from the debris.

And still, the streak of black light did not stop—it pierced through the wall and disappeared far beyond the arena.

From the VIP section, Emperor Xue Ye sat in stunned silence for several seconds before finally reacting. "Guards! Check for injuries immediately!"
