Chapter 101: Extreme Evacuation
Suddenly, Dugu Feng's face changed drastically.
"Not good, a powerful enemy is approaching."
Near the massive ancient tree, both of his Emerald Dragon Snakes were on high alert in the shadows.
The Emerald Dragon Snakes were small and inconspicuous in the forest. Once hidden, even a Title Douluo-level expert would find it hard to detect them.
From their perspective, two enormous figures were speeding through the air, heading directly toward their location. Their intention was unmistakable.
"Devour for me!"
Inside Dugu Feng's body, the Dan Pearl spun wildly, devouring all the energy of the Eight Spider Lances.
In the next moment, Dugu Feng felt immense pressure — gravity.
He immediately thought of the Titan Giant Ape. Who else could it be?
If they had been on the surface, this gravity alone would have crushed both him and Old Scorpion to pieces.
Now, the two of them were already hundreds of meters underground, beneath the roots of the giant tree.
"Retreat."
The word came out with great difficulty. At the same time, a ripple of white energy spread out, covering both him and Old Scorpion.
"Boom!"
A deafening rumble echoed above their heads — the tree was being uprooted.
Old Scorpion didn't dare to hesitate. One moment of delay could mean they would never get out.
His Earth-Escape ability was linked to the ground itself, but their attacker's technique also manipulated gravity — another earth-based skill.
Sweat dripped down Old Scorpion's forehead.
Suddenly, his eyes lit up. The enemy had come to rescue Tang San.
Wasn't this the perfect human shield?
Old Scorpion grabbed Dugu Feng with his left hand and Tang San with his right, then hurled Tang San upward through the roots.
A cruel grin crossed his face. He didn't believe the enemy would dare to unleash a destructive attack now.
A moment later, gray soul power wrapped around him and Dugu Feng.
As his fifth soul ring gleamed, the two sank deeper underground.
The gray light pulsed rapidly around Old Scorpion's body. His escape skill was clearly being suppressed by gravity, slowing him down even under the amplification of Dugu Feng's Killing God Domain.
Above ground, the Titan Giant Ape, Azure Bull Python, and Xiao Wu had arrived.
It was the Titan Giant Ape who took action.
The enemies were more than a hundred meters underground. If he smashed through by force, he might injure Tang San.
So only the Titan Giant Ape could act. It specialized in gravity control.
Its domain — the Gravity Swamp — allowed it to command gravity's strength and direction within its range.
Its power far exceeded that of Zhao Wuji's gravity technique.
Zhao Wuji could only affect a few meters underground, while the Titan Giant Ape could influence tens or even hundreds of meters below.
"Still struggling?"
The Titan Giant Ape's lantern-sized eyes flickered.
If those below escaped, he would lose face in front of Sister Xiao Wu.
Suddenly, he sensed an energy rising upward.
The Titan Giant Ape prepared to intensify his soul power output to suppress it.
"Wait, the enemy is using Tang San as a shield!" Azure Bull Python shouted.
Xiao Wu's heart tightened instantly. Tang San couldn't be harmed!
She had poured so much effort into winning him over, finding such a dependable ally.
Without Tang San, where could she find another?
The Titan Giant Ape immediately eased its gravity.
But the next instant, the enemies' energy waves were already fading away into the distance.
At the same time, he sensed a faint energy falling downward.
The Titan Giant Ape quickly caught it — it was Tang San.
Then, with a mighty heave, his massive forearms grabbed the tree roots. His shoulders strained as he pulled, ripping the gigantic tree from the ground — a true display of the Titan Giant Ape uprooting a willow.
Along with the enormous tree came a human figure.
"Third Brother!"
Perched on the Titan Giant Ape's shoulder, Xiao Wu cried tears of joy.
She leapt down and caught Tang San as they landed on the ground.
Seeing Tang San rescued, the Titan Giant Ape finally felt no more restraint.
His massive frame stood upright, and a crushing aura rippled across the ground like a tidal wave.
Dark energy sank into the earth as he pushed his Gravity Swamp to its extreme, trying to seal the underground space.
But the enemies' aura was already gone. Two identical fluctuations appeared kilometers away.
The Titan Giant Ape froze.
"What's happening?"
Three distinct signatures — he couldn't tell which was real.
As he hesitated, the enemy's presence disappeared completely. They had escaped astonishingly fast.
"Big Brother, can you sense them?"
"When Tang San was underground, I could only feel one large and one small energy wave. But just now, there were three."
The Titan Giant Ape asked, and Azure Bull Python shook its head.
"If you can't sense them, neither can I. When they escaped, I felt a special aura — a type of domain skill. Their retreat was shielded by it. Underground, that makes them nearly impossible to track."
The Titan Giant Ape could only sigh helplessly.
At least Tang San was safe — that was what mattered most. As for revenge, their bond with him wasn't worth risking their lives over.
"Third Brother…" Xiao Wu called softly twice.
Tang San's eyes remained closed, his body limp, devoid of strength.
In Xiao Wu's arms, his body curled up slightly and twitched at intervals.
When Dugu Feng absorbed the energy from the Eight Spider Lances, he inadvertently drained part of Tang San's life force as well.
Dugu Feng didn't have the focus to distinguish between life energy and the Spider Lances' power during absorption.
Tang San looked badly hurt.
Xiao Wu quickly entered her Soul Spirit state, infusing her own soul power into Tang San's body.
But after a long while, there was still no response.
Xiao Wu forced herself to calm down.
"Er Ming, take me back. Oscar and Rong Rong both have healing abilities, and the dean and others carry medicine."
Without hesitation, the Titan Giant Ape lifted Xiao Wu onto his shoulder again and dashed off at high speed.
When they neared Flender's group, Xiao Wu jumped down, carrying Tang San back into camp.
Flender spotted her first.
He hadn't rested at all these days. If Tang San died, how could he face Tang Hao or Yu Xiaogang?
Tang Hao might smash him into pulp with a single blow in his fury.
Only Xiao Wu's determination earlier had been his last sliver of hope.
Seeing her return while holding Tang San, the anxiety in Flender's eyes vanished instantly.
"Rong Rong, Oscar — quickly! Treat Xiao San!"
Flender's deep voice roared across the camp.
The other five Shrek students, still shaken by recent events, scrambled out of their tents.
"Dean, what happened to Tang San?"
The radiant Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda spun from Ning Rongrong's palm — she hadn't even noticed Xiao Wu's arrival yet.
Oscar followed closely, already conjuring his recovery sausages.
