Chapter 237 - Chapter 237: The Cold-Blooded Slaughter

Chapter 237: The Cold-Blooded Slaughter

The Twelve Jade Phosphor Fingers drew power from the venom of the Jade Phosphor Serpent, channeling toxic energy through each strike. The Twelve Slaughter Fingers, on the other hand, were fueled entirely by killing intent.

In terms of threat, the Jade Phosphor technique was deadlier in effect.

In pure destructive power and explosiveness, however, the Slaughter technique reigned supreme—fast, brutal, and merciless.

For Dugu Feng, there was no need to choose.

His left hand channeled venomous finger force, his right wielded killing power.

Each burst of deadly aura from one hand was immediately followed by a strike of toxic energy from the other.

Splitting his focus this way posed no difficulty for him at all.

As he approached the first cave, two wolf bandits lunged out.

Their senses were razor-sharp; they had already detected him through vibrations and scent.

They looked like savages—gray, matted hair caked with dirt, long filthy fur covering their limbs, fangs jutting from their mouths, their faces smeared with crude pigments.

Their lupine traits were unmistakable, though their builds were far more robust than wolves', towering over two meters tall, limbs elongated and ending in sharp, clawed hands.

Upon seeing Dugu Feng, they let out piercing howls, raising their hands as four blades of wind roared forward at him—

their innate skill, cast as swiftly as breathing, like an instant soul ability.

A sharp whoosh!

Streaks of violet and white light shot out, the air erupting with rapid, explosive cracks.

The wind blades shattered midair, while Dugu Feng's finger strikes shot directly into the open maws of the howling bandits.

Both creatures clutched their faces, eyes bulging wide in shock.

The venom and killing intent had pierced their vital points.

Without even glancing back, Dugu Feng continued forward.

Behind him, two corpses collapsed, lifeless.

To the right, Feng Xiaotian was faring less elegantly.

As a Spirit Ancestor, his rank was still lower than Dugu Feng's—

and to make matters worse, his specialty was wind blades, which these wolf bandits also used.

Their familiarity with wind combat forced him to exert full power just to bring them down.

Meanwhile, the entire valley had erupted in movement as wave after wave of wolf bandits poured from the countless cave dwellings—hundreds strong.

Dugu Feng's sharp eyes picked out a dozen wolf bandits shimmering faintly with cyan light among the gray horde.

They were cleaner, bigger—nearly three meters tall—and their aura told him they were at least Spirit Elders, with three even reaching the Spirit Ancestor level.

An army of such strength truly was formidable: hundreds of Spirit Masters, over ten Spirit Elders, several Spirit Ancestors—each capable of launching wind blades effortlessly.

In an instant, the sky darkened under the storm of blades sweeping toward them.

The wolf bandits fanned out on both sides, attempting to surround Dugu Feng and Feng Xiaotian from all directions.

Feng Xiaotian's martial soul, the Double-Headed Gale Wolf, possessed him completely—turning him into a blur of shadow.

He darted through the gaps of swirling wind blades, striking down wolf bandits one after another with his own razor winds.

Yet, his kill rate was too low; hundreds remained.

Sooner or later, his spirit power would run dry.

Worse still, the cyan-haired bandits unleashed expanding rings of wind pressure—each far stronger than typical blades.

Even Feng Xiaotian could only hold his ground through sheer effort.

Trusting in Dugu Feng's deadly calm, he glanced over—

and froze.

Dugu Feng wasn't retreating. He was charging into the horde.

His hands moved so fast they blurred into afterimages, each flicker flinging waves of lethal power.

Incoming wind blades shattered midair, torn apart by precise strikes.

Those he couldn't deflect, he evaded through an eerie, almost spectral footwork.

Simultaneously, more finger strikes pierced through the throats and hearts of the oncoming wolf bandits.

The Poison Demon King had returned.

This time, Dugu Feng wasn't content to let the poison slowly take effect.

He unleashed his spirit power at full capacity, veins bulging as energy surged through him.

His mind sharpened impossibly—keen enough to thread through chaos itself.

In mere moments, dozens of wolf bandits lay dead at his feet.

"Come!" Dugu Feng shouted with a cold, savage grin. "Let me slaughter you all!"

The true massacre began.

"Poison Explosion!"

His second spirit ring blazed.

Every strike from the Jade Phosphor Fingers now carried an internal blast—once the poison penetrated, it detonated with a deafening boom!

Bodies burst apart, black fog spreading in waves. Flesh scattered, bones crumbled, corrosive venom splattered outward—

poison spreading to those still alive.

The scene was horrific beyond measure.

Even these savage wolf bandits—themselves known for brutality—paused in shock.

Feng Xiaotian was stricken speechless.

Dugu Feng's technique was terrifying.

He had heard of the Tianshui Academy's Ice Explosion Technique, which froze victims solid before shattering them into crystal ice shards.

This Poison Explosion was its macabre twin.

Instead of ice, it left behind pools of black blood and unrecognizable chunks of meat—

a grotesque display that turned the stomach.

Feng Xiaotian felt bile rise in his throat.

The merciless carnage enraged the cyan wolf bandits.

Massive and powerful, they moved with startling agility—crouching low, gliding like beasts across the ground toward Dugu Feng.

Before striking, they launched glowing cyan wind rings that expanded toward him in waves.

"Die! Jade Phosphor Shadow Slash!"

Dugu Feng's voice dropped to a freezing tone as his third spirit ring flashed.

Dark green light burst forth, shaping into three humanoid phantoms—each bristling with countless venomous spikes.

They fanned out ahead of him, surging forward like a deadly crescent.

Everything in their path melted into toxic sludge.

Each spirit shadow barreled on for several meters before dissipating,

leaving the ground cleared like a field plowed by three living hurricanes.

The attack was more devastating than the Ice Explosion—

its venom carried the corrosive dissolve of the Nine-Heaven Dragon Centipede's toxin.

None of the gray or cyan wolf bandits could withstand it.

If no stronger leader appeared, the spreading poison alone would annihilate the entire pack.

Just then, Dugu Feng turned his gaze deeper into the canyon.

A shrill, whistling roar of wind split the air.

A massive tornado was descending upon him.

"That's a spirit skill!" he realized instantly.

The wolf bandit leader had made its move.

Through his spiritual sight, he located a huge figure among the distant horde—

its head crowned with golden fur, unlike the rest.

Unlike its savage kin, this one's face bore strikingly human features—almost handsome in its ferocity.

"Brother Dugu, be careful!" Feng Xiaotian warned. "To summon winds that strong—it has to be the wolf bandit leader. At least Spirit King level!"
