Chapter 128: Displaying the Might of Douluo University!

"What the hell? What are you guys doing?"

When Tang Wulin woke up, he saw Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi sitting behind him, holding hands.

In the middle of the night, the sight nearly scared him to death.

Wang Jinxi opened his eyes but continued maintaining his martial soul fusion cultivation posture. Looking completely innocent, he said, "Of course we're cultivating."

While Tang Wulin cultivated, faint traces of the Golden Dragon King's aura naturally radiated from him. That energy was the best nourishment for dragon-type martial souls, stimulating friendly evolutionary growth.

Wang Jinxi benefited from it the most.

And thanks to their fusion state, Zhang Yangzi also absorbed some of that beneficial evolution.

Still, three grown men cultivating together—what a sight.

Jiang Chen couldn't even bear to look.

"I miss Yun'er already. Guess you only realize what you had after losing it."

"Forget it—I just miss my big bed!"

The next day's opening ceremony was grand beyond expectation. Over a thousand people gathered from across Douluo University.

All wore identical uniforms—no one dared stand out.

After all, this was the university's first-ever intake ceremony. Who wanted to be made an example?

If anyone got singled out, their name would go down in history. Years later, students would be gossiping: 'That senior from the first class—yeah, the one who got punished back then!'

No one wanted that kind of fame.

Being used as an example wasn't deadly, but being expelled? That was serious.

Even if the atmosphere wasn't as strict as Shrek Academy's, no one dared mess around in such a historic event.

Thirty classes had been formed, each with thirty students—randomly distributed.

Or at least, so they said.

Because when everyone arrived at Class One, all familiar faces were still together—and their instructor was Wu Zhangkong.

Xie Xie's mouth twitched. "So much for random assignment. We still ended up together?"

Xu Xiaoyan glared daggers at him. "What, you don't like being in the same class with us?"

"Silence."

At that moment, a thin, unassuming middle-aged man appeared out of the void, stepping onto the central plaza.

"Welcome, students, who have come from afar to join Douluo University," he said.

"Although this is our first year of enrollment and many systems are still developing, the Federation places great hopes in you. Together, faculty and students will write a glorious new chapter for Douluo University!"

"Become the Continent's foremost academy!"

"I am Mo Zihong of the Hall of War Gods, ranked Fifth War God, Title: Thunderflame. My spirit is the Thunderflame Spear. As a Level 93 Title Douluo, I will serve as your chief instructor for the freshman intensive training!"

"Now, I announce—let the three-month training period begin!"

The thirty students of Douluo University's Class One responded neatly and with discipline.

Tang Wulin spotted his senior sister among the female group, instantly relaxing.

Good, he thought. This way, he could protect her better.

Though arranged by "lottery," the faculty clearly grouped students of nearby origin and similar zones for convenience, especially given age differences among entrants.

"Teacher Wu," Xie Xie asked, "what exactly is this freshman training?"

Wu Zhangkong smiled faintly. "That's not up to me. Your supervising officer will explain."

He glanced at his watch, then looked up meaningfully. "They're here."

"They?" everyone wondered.

Suddenly, the air above the plaza exploded with roaring sound waves.

The once-clear sky dimmed—not from clouds, but from armored mechas soaring overhead in formation.

"Oh my god!"

"I've seen the Skysea City Mecha Division, but never this many mechas!"

Black mechas led the squadrons, with violet ones circling above, performing tight formations.

To an outsider, it looked like war was about to break out.

And not just mechas—massive fighter jets streaked through the sky, weaving brilliant arcs with breathtaking aerial maneuvers.

The Federation's power extended beyond human soul masters.

Though true spaceflight remained limited, research into cosmic exploration technologies had never ceased.

This time, every project was put on display—not only to celebrate Douluo University's founding but also as a political show of strength to the world.

"Holy crap, did the Federation actually summon that legion? This is insane!"

The students were stunned, but so were viewers across the entire Federation who were watching the live broadcast.

Overseas nations like the Star Luo Federation, Heaven Dou Empire, and Dou Ling Empire stared at the images in disbelief.

They always claimed that only top-ranked soul masters—Titled and Ultimate Douluos—could determine wars.

But witnessing the Federation's scientific might firsthand left them speechless.

Titled Douluos were few, but warships and mechas could be produced endlessly.

The Douluo Federation had become terrifying.

At Shrek Academy, Yun Ming watched the broadcast with deep concern.

If the Federation could already produce Level 12 fixed-mounted soul cannons capable of threatening pseudo-gods, how long before they could endanger true gods?

Was technology truly so powerful now?

In the Sea God Pavilion, the elders scoffed. "Useless showpieces. A bunch of toys—not worth fearing."

To a Titled Douluo, they were just flashy distractions, incapable of real harm.

Yun Ming disagreed. You underestimate them far too much.

Even Jiang Chen thought these demonstrations rivaled meteor-class scout ships, executing high-intensity maneuvers with precision.

Under the awed stares of thousands, the formation of mechas descended in perfect synchronization, landing heavily on the plaza.

From the foremost black mecha stepped a tall, bronze-skinned man with powerful muscles and long golden hair cascading down the sides of his face. His eyes gleamed razor-sharp.

"My name is Sima Jinchi, from the Spirit Transmission Tower," he declared.

"My spirit is the Dragon-Slaying Blade. Level 87 Soul Douluo. I will serve as your combat instructor!"

Sima Jinchi? Dragon-Slaying Blade?

Jiang Chen narrowed his eyes.

So he's here.

Sima Jinchi was not human. He was originally the Dragon-Slaying Blade forged from Dragon God's horn—a divine weapon meant to restrain dragons, a bane to dragonkind, nearly equal to a super-artifact.

After falling to the continent, the divine weapon gained sentience, taking human form but losing its memories.

Back then, Jiang Chen had casually mentioned it.

Di Tian overheard and personally brought Sima Jinchi back, taking him as a disciple.

Naturally, Di Tian wouldn't leave a dragon-slaying divine weapon loose in the world—especially one lethal to dragonkind. A blade that could even cut him down was no trivial matter.

And now that same blade had grown this powerful.

As Sima Jinchi's aura filled the square, every soul master with dragon-type martial souls shivered involuntarily—especially Wang Jinxi, who nearly collapsed.

Just standing there, Sima Jinchi exuded overwhelming pressure.

"At ease! Attention!" he barked.

"Right face! Forward march!"
