Chapter 105: Tang Ya in Plain Clothes — The Blue Silver Saintess!

"What is this? Such dense life energy!"

Tang Ya stared at the small pill in her palm, her eyes wide with shock.

Her Blue Silver Grass possessed a life-attribute spirit, making her particularly sensitive to vitality.

Yet this was the first time she had ever felt such an immense, concentrated life force coming from a pill.

"This is a Life Essence Pill. It contains condensed vitality. Try absorbing it, Xiao Ya-jie," Ye Chen explained.

Although he intended to develop Tang Ya's "Devour" attribute, he still needed to proceed cautiously in order to avoid her losing control.

Besides, the Blue Silver Emperor was located in the Sun Moon Empire, and Ye Chen had no immediate plans to go there.

"Alright… I'll try then."

Tang Ya nodded lightly, a mix of curiosity and excitement flashing through her eyes.

This life energy was far purer than anything she had ever felt before—many times stronger than what she used to absorb.

Maybe, as Ye Chen said, her martial soul wasn't truly evil; its chaos simply came from her inability to purify the impurities when devouring flesh and blood earlier.

With that thought, Tang Ya began slowly releasing her Blue Silver Grass spirit.

A soft hum sounded as a strand of Blue Silver Grass appeared in her palm—glowing with lively energy, looking perfectly normal and peaceful.

The next instant, Tang Ya's will shifted slightly as she released the suppressed devour attribute.

Instantly, the base of the blue grass darkened with faint black lines streaked in blood-red. Within seconds, that taint spread through the entire blade, transforming it into the Dark Blue Silver Grass.

The devour attribute within was still incredibly weak—starved for too long—and could be suppressed by her at any time.

As Tang Ya's spirit changed, the Life Seed in Ye Chen's hand became the most desirable delicacy in its perception. The vine-like tendrils of her Dark Blue Silver Grass extended on their own toward the pill, instinctively drawn to it.

Tang Ya tensed up but didn't stop it, letting the vines touch Ye Chen's hand.

The next moment, the tendrils pierced the pill.

A faint sucking sound followed.

The massive vitality sealed inside the Life Seed rapidly diminished as the once-glowing pill dulled and withered before their eyes.

Within a few minutes, an entire year of Ye Chen's life energy was drained away.

Part of that energy nourished Tang Ya's body, her skin instantly becoming radiant and flushed with color.

The rest was used to strengthen her martial soul and slightly increase her soul power, though the efficiency was still low due to her current level.

"Xiao Ya-jie, how do you feel?" Ye Chen asked immediately with concern.

"So… comfortable…" Tang Ya murmured without thinking.

Ye Chen blinked. "Uh?"

"No! I mean, the life energy in your pill is so pure—it didn't affect my mind at all!" Tang Ya corrected quickly, her face lighting up with excitement.

This was completely different from what she had experienced as a child. Back then, when she devoured an animal's life force, the flood of chaotic energy and spiritual residue had assaulted her mind, leaving her dazed and driven only by instinct.

Now, her consciousness remained intact—completely unaffected.

"Ye Chen, do you have another one? I want more…"

Tang Ya looked at him with pleading eyes, like someone craving a fix.

"Uh… Xiao Ya-jie, you can't get addicted!" Ye Chen's expression stiffened—this was supposed to be an experiment, not the start of a habit!

"Pfft~ I'm teasing you~"

Tang Ya laughed, unable to hold back after seeing his flustered reaction. "After reactivating my devour attribute, I do feel a strong hunger for vitality—but I can suppress it easily. It's not a problem."

Her voice softened with relief.

She'd been terrified since childhood of losing control, which was why she had sealed away the devour aspect so completely. Now that she had tested it again, she realized she was much stronger than before—fully capable of resisting its instinct.

As long as she didn't let it devour raw flesh, it posed no danger.

Moreover, after activating this attribute, her Blue Silver Grass had undergone significant improvement—though she wasn't sure by how much without testing it in combat.

"Well, Xiao Ya-jie, you've changed. I help you so much, and instead, you're making fun of me. That's too cruel~"

Ye Chen grinned mischievously and suddenly tackled her onto the bed.

"Ugh… I'm sorry—really! Can't I just apologize?" Tang Ya muttered nervously.

"Nope. You'll have to compensate me~" Ye Chen said with a wicked smile.

Tang Ya: …

...

A while later.

Ye Chen licked his lips contentedly, tasting faint traces of sweetness.

"What a naughty girl…"

Tang Ya turned her back while dressing, whispering under her breath, her ears glowing red.

"Alright, everything's ready. Let's head out, Xiao Ya-jie~" Ye Chen stretched lazily as he got off the bed.

"Eh? So soon?" Tang Ya asked, still worried. Weren't they going to plan first?

"A surprise attack is the key to victory. We'll reach Heaven Dou City tonight and strike the Iron-Blood Sect tomorrow evening. The goal is to finish before the city's guards notice." Ye Chen's tone was calm, already confident in his plan.

If it worked—great.

If not—he'd retreat and return later.

He was in the shadows, while the enemy stood exposed.

Either way, he couldn't lose.

"Alright, I'll follow your lead."

Tang Ya nodded gently, seeing the logic.

Besides, she hardly had a choice—she wasn't even a proper support right now.

Ye Chen was the one leading; she was simply tagging along.

Night soon fell.

They departed under cover of darkness.

Before leaving, Ye Chen bought Tang Ya a new outfit and had her change.

When she stepped out of the dressing room, Ye Chen's eyes immediately lit up.

Tang Ya now wore a pure black ensemble.

Her long, ink-like hair cascaded down to her waist, faintly gleaming under the light. The black dress was made of thin, sheer fabric, its hem adorned with dark lace patterns.

It reached just above her knees, revealing her flawless legs wrapped in translucent black silk stockings.

Black leather boots hugged her calves, decorated with dark silver accents.

A veil covered the lower half of her face, leaving only her bright, youthful eyes exposed—pure and striking.

Hmm… perhaps it disrupted her usual gentle aura a bit.

After all, Tang Ya was still a student—sweet, like the girl next door. She hadn't yet grown into the cool, mysterious "Blue Silver Saintess" of the original story.

Still, this new look was undeniably mesmerizing.

"Um… why am I dressed like this?"

Tang Ya blinked her clear eyes and looked down, clearly not used to this outfit.
