Chapter 89 - Chapter 89: 106. Haozi Cries to the Heavens

Chapter 89: 106. Haozi Cries to the Heavens

Tang Tian summoned his martial soul and unleashed his Clear Sky True Body—the sky-darkening hammer expanding to hundreds of meters in size.

Yet, even so, before Tang Hao's colossal red hammer, it looked utterly insignificant.

He thrust his own massive hammer upward to meet Tang Hao's descending blow.

At the point of impact, Tang Tian immediately felt it—the unshakable, monstrous strength pressing down from Tang Hao's hammer.

"Pu—!" He spat a mouthful of blood, his Clear Sky True Body already beginning to tremble. The giant form holding his hammer was forced backward, the arms straining, the legs buckling under the weight. Slowly, the towering phantom began to kneel.

"Father, no!" Tang Xiao cried out in anguish.

Coughing blood, Tang Tian gasped hoarsely, "As… as the Sect Master's final order… take Tang Xiao… back… to the sect!"

The surviving Clear Sky disciples, jolted out of their daze, hurried to lift the battered Tang Xiao from the rubble and carry him toward the mouth of the canyon.

Tang Xiao turned back weakly, eyes blurring with tears, seeing the faintly glowing blue figure of his father's martial soul holding the blood-red hammer at bay.

"Father—!"

"Go—!" Tang Tian roared.

Cracks began to race across Tang Tian's hammer spirit like a spiderweb. As he watched Tang Xiao escape, relief barely reached his heart before Tang Hao's hammer pressed down with renewed force.

"Tang Hao…" Blood poured from his lips as his martial soul shattered. Raising his eyes toward the descending hammer, he thought he saw his own father's shadow—his father, who had once been a level 99 Limit Douluo.

But Tang Hao… he was only level 90—only eight rings! How could he wield such power?

As the hammer crushed him, Tang Tian's final thoughts were full of regret. Tang Hao's talent far surpassed his own, yet his sins would forever stain the Clear Sky Sect. If only there had been no hundred-thousand-year soul beast…

The giant hammer struck the mountain, obliterating earth and stone, flattening everything it touched.

Consumed by fury, Tang Hao had long lost reason. When the hammer fell, he believed the one he crushed beneath it was Tang Xiao.

"Die, Tang Xiao!!!"

His features twisted in madness, hunger for death glinting in his eyes.

Unsatisfied, he swung again and again, grinding the spot beneath his hammer several times more until his rage faded into exhaustion.

Panting heavily, Tang Hao gripped the hammer and stared at the devastation, thinking back on everything—Ah Yin, his shattered plans, the scheme gone awry—and all of it, he blamed on Tang Xiao.

Confirming that he had "killed" him, Tang Hao released the hammer and beat his chest wildly with both fists, laughing madly. His maniacal laughter echoed through Sky Valley Ridge—so loud that even Tang Xiao, thousands of meters away, heard it.

"Tang Hao, you beast," Tang Xiao whispered hatefully, tears burning in his eyes. "You killed our father with your own hands. Does it make you proud?"

In the Divine Realm, within the Eternal Temple—

Huo Yuhao watched as Tang Tian's sacrifice unfolded—a father protecting his son in a final act of love.

"Hmm, a father dying for his child—makes perfect sense." He clapped his hands lightly and looked down at the deranged Tang Hao. "Excellent performance, truly. Five Titled Douluo—Tang Qi, Tang Zhe, Tang Po, Tang Mie, and now Tang Tian—all dead by your hand. Among all Soul Douluo, no one in history has matched your kill count, Tang Hao. This alone will shake the world."

He chuckled. "So, Haozi, with Brother Hao watching over you, this is your blessing. Go crazy all you want—I guarantee your legend will echo across the continent."

Below, Tang Hao's frenzy subsided. His hammer dissolved, his True Body fading.

When the dust cleared, the entire mountainside was leveled. In the crater below lay a mangled heap of flesh—a grotesque, unrecognizable mosaic of blood and bone.

Descending from the air, Tang Hao dragged himself toward the body, expecting to find Tang Xiao's remains—to savor the bitter comfort of vengeance.

But when he got closer, he froze.

Even through the gore, he recognized familiar remnants—tokens, worn insignias—belonging not to Tang Xiao, but to his own father.

It wasn't Tang Xiao. It was Tang Tian.

His face turned ashen. "This… this can't be…"

He kneeled beside the corpse, trembling hands desperately searching through the remains. Every piece of evidence screamed the same truth—this was his father.

Tears poured down his face. His hands, slick with his father's blood, began to shake uncontrollably.

"I… what have I done… I killed my own father…"

Tang Hao collapsed to the ground, blank-eyed, trembling.

"Father… I killed you… Father, I didn't mean to! I wanted to kill Tang Xiao, not you! Why… why did you stand before my hammer?"

Despair swallowed him whole. He pounded his chest and screamed into the crimson dusk, his voice hoarse and ragged. "WHY?! HEAVENS, WHY DIDN'T YOU STOP ME? WHY?!"

He finally raised his head, eyes glaring at the distant heavens, blaming the gods themselves—blaming the Asura God who had given him strength.

He knew it—without the blessings bestowed by the Asura God, he would never have overpowered five Titled Douluo. If that divine power had been withdrawn earlier, his father would never have died by his hand.

In the end, Tang Hao's anguish twisted into accusation.

If you had taken back your power, if you hadn't made me a monster… this wouldn't have happened!

In the Divine Realm, within the Asura God Palace—

The Asura God heard the mortal's cry of defiance. His eyes darkened.

"How dare you," he thundered. "I granted you the Killing God Domain, made you the father of my Precious Child, shielded you so you could reach this point safely—and you dare blame me for your stupidity? You killed your father, not I!"

To emphasize his wrath, the Asura God summoned thunder.

Storm clouds rolled over Sky Valley Ridge. Bolts of divine lightning crashed into the cliffs surrounding Tang Hao, shaking the earth.

Though none of the bolts struck him directly, the explosions around him sent the message clearly.

Terror seized him. The fury he had raised just moments ago evaporated, replaced by trembling fear.

He dropped to his knees, trembling and groveling in the dirt.

In that moment, he remembered—it was folly to defy the divine. The Asura God was no ordinary deity but a God King of the highest order. Even when Tang Hao had ruled as the master of a plane in a past life, such beings were beyond his reach.

And now, this very god was his greatest patron, the protector of his bloodline. If he angered the Asura God, his family's fate would be doomed.

The storm ended as quickly as it had begun.

Clearly, the Asura God had never intended to kill him—only to warn him. For the sake of his "Precious Child's" future, the god stayed his hand.
