Chapter 107 - Chapter 107 – 124. The Great Sumeru Staff

Chapter 107 – 124. The Great Sumeru Staff

Tang Ba sensed the fall of his disciples below and grew anxious.

As if reaching a firm decision, he shouted toward Jiang Mo, "Jiang Mo Douluo! Today, I'll let you witness the greatest secret art of my Clear Sky Hammer!"

With that, he unleashed his Martial Spirit Avatar. His soul rings began to explode one by one as his Clear Sky Hammer swelled into a colossal weapon a hundred meters tall.

For an already declining body, detonating his soul rings so recklessly was no doubt suicidal. But at this moment, Tang Ba no longer cared.

"Oh? Interesting," Jiang Mo smirked. "Then I'll let you see the ultimate art of my Dragon-Subduing Staff!"

He too activated his Martial Spirit Avatar, exploding his soul rings in turn as his weapon extended into a massive staff stretching hundreds of meters across the sky, clashing head-to-head with the immense Clear Sky Hammer.

"Die! Great Sumeru Hammer!" Tang Ba roared, burning his remaining soul power to its limit, unleashing all of his life force into one final strike. The pressure of his attack was so overwhelming that even the distant Level 98 Title Douluo, Guang Ling, felt a flicker of genuine threat.

"Good! Take this—my Great Sumeru Staff!" Jiang Mo shouted, swinging his weapon upward to meet Tang Ba's strike.

In the heavens, the earth-shattering hammer and staff collided, their red and blue energies clashing in a blinding explosion.

Guang Ling lowered his bow, whistling in admiration. "Not bad, not bad! This secret art is formidable— even I wouldn't dare take it head-on. It's a pity the Great Sumeru Hammer technique only suits strength-type weapon users. Otherwise, I might've crafted my own version— a 'Great Sumeru Arrow,' perhaps."

"You know the Great Sumeru technique?!" Tang Ba gasped in disbelief.

Jiang Mo gave a sly grin. "Old rat, yours is the Great Sumeru Hammer. Mine—haha—is the Great Sumeru Staff."

"Damn it! Who leaked this knowledge? Was it Tang Hao?! It must've been that traitor!" Tang Ba cursed furiously.

The Great Sumeru Hammer was not something just anyone could perform—it demanded extreme martial mastery and physical endurance. Even Tang Hao's father, Tang Tian, had never succeeded. Across the entire Clear Sky Sect, only Tang Chen, Tang Ba, and Tang Hao himself had managed it. The only possible secret-leaker was that treacherous Tang Hao.

"Oh, you guessed right," Jiang Mo mocked. "That Great Sumeru Staff? I bought the secret from Tang Hao himself—for ten gold soul coins."

"Damn that traitor!" Tang Ba roared. "Even if you know the technique, your Martial Spirit isn't the Clear Sky Hammer—you'll never draw out its true power!" He hurled all his remaining strength into his weapon.

Jiang Mo likewise unleashed his full might, driving his entire soul force into the Dragon-Subduing Staff.

The two colossal Soul Tools collided again, shaking heaven and earth. With a deafening crash, the explosion of power shattered the sky.

Then a figure was thrown back—Tang Ba. His body slammed hard into the rear mountain of the Clear Sky Sect.

"Tang Hao, you've doomed the Clear Sky Sect! Even as a ghost, I will never forgive you!" Tang Ba spat his curse with his dying breath, and then his body fell still.

As Jiang Mo's body flew backward, Qian Jun intervened just in time, catching him midair.

Landing on the ground, Jiang Mo quickly sat cross-legged, channeling his Xuantian Technique to recover. Soul power surged visibly through his body, mending his internal injuries.

"This Clear Sky Sect's secret art really packs a blow," Jiang Mo muttered. "Good thing I've got the Xuantian Technique to stabilize my energy. Combining the two... marvelous, truly marvelous."

Spirit Hall's army continued their pursuit, chasing the fleeing Clear Sky disciples all the way to the ancestral cliffs.

Standing before the jagged cliffside that marked their forbidden line, Tang Lie finally sighed in relief, seeing the Spirit Hall cultivators halt just before the boundary.

"The old pact between our ancestor and Qian Daoliu still stands, it seems," Tang Xiao said.

But as he turned back to look at their devastated ranks—barely one-tenth surviving—his heart sank deeper. He remembered the Clear Sky Sect's golden age, when Level 99 Ultimate Douluo presided over their sect, when veterans like Tang Ba led armies of Title Douluo, when the Three Upper Sects stood shoulder to shoulder against Spirit Hall's power. How glorious they had been. And now? The only Title Douluo left standing was himself—Tang Xiao, a crippled invalid in a wheelchair.

"Tang Xiao," Tang Lie said, eyes bloodshot, his breathing heavy with rage, "if not for the curse of your bloodline, we wouldn't have fallen this low!"

"Say Tang Hao's name directly—why drag my family into it?" Tang Xiao shot back.

"Hah! Don't think I don't know," Tang Lie sneered. "You, too, were 'fond' of that hundred-thousand-year spirit beast, weren't you? You and your brother share the same filthy blood. What's wrong? Tang Hao fathered his half-human, half-beast wretch—did you intend to produce another? You brothers are a curse upon the Clear Sky Sect."

"Enough!" Tang Xiao roared, fury burning through his veins as he summoned his Clear Sky Hammer. "Say that again if you dare!"

"Gladly!" Tang Lie bellowed back. "What can you do, crippled Douluo? Everyone knows it—our downfall began because Tang Hao fought with Tang Xiao over the right to mate with a hundred-thousand-year soul beast! Hah! Entire families died because of that monster, and now Spirit Hall has wiped us out! Tell me, brothers—aren't Tang Hao and Tang Xiao the calamities of the Clear Sky Sect?!"

"Right! Curses! They're our curse!" several disciples shouted, gripping their hammers tightly, shouting in agreement.

"Please, listen!" Tang Xiao pleaded. "I'm not like Tang Hao! He's my enemy! I love the sect—I've never betrayed it!"

"Oh really?" Tang Lie sneered. "Then how do you explain that the hundred-thousand-year spirit beast willingly offered you her sacrifice soul ring? I know the truth—that beast loved you! Tang Hao only snatched her away from you. You're a failure, unworthy of even your enemy's hatred."

The words struck like blades. Tang Xiao trembled with rage, his breathing ragged. Unable to hold back, he released his spirit power. "Tang Lie, come die!"

The air hummed as two Clear Sky Hammers appeared—one in the grip of a crippled Title Douluo, the other in the hands of a surviving Contra.

This was the pitiful peak of the Clear Sky Sect's might—its last two strongest members turning against each other.

Across the chasm, Guang Ling's mocking laugh echoed. "Oh, splendid! The show's just getting started."

"Hah, we haven't even attacked yet, and those rats are already fighting among themselves," Qian Jun chuckled coldly.

The sound of their voices snapped Tang Xiao and Tang Lie back to reality.

The surviving disciples turned toward the cliff, where Spirit Hall's forces stood assembled on the opposite side. The oppressive formation looked ready to cross at any moment.

"What… what do you want?" Tang Lie called out nervously. "Don't forget—your Grand Worshipper once swore an oath with our former Sect Master, Tang Chen!"
