Time skip: the end of the week.
The crew could be seen looking at the new ship. It was massive—more than ten times the size of the Merry.
Hell, it might even rival, if not slightly surpass, Navy warships.
Yes, it was that big, and yet faster than every ship currently on the sea.
Franky seemed quite proud of his work.
"Wow, it's so big!" Luffy had stars in his eyes.
Franky nodded.
"The ship is made from Adam Tree, the hardest tree in the world, so it can sail through any ocean. It's stronger than steel."
"There's an underwater mode—it can go as deep as fifteen thousand feet—and a flying mode. Well, more like gliding in the air for a very long distance. And this baby can go even faster than Navy warships."
Franky then pressed a button, and a cannon was revealed.
"Armed to the teeth with powerful cannons, strong enough to destroy even the strongest materials, and a super booster that can put it into turbo mode." As he pressed another button, the boat shifted into another version, with boosters on the back, looking like a racing ship.
Another button made it look like a vessel built purely for combat.
"It has three modes: normal, underwater, and sky. There's a secret fourth mode, which fuses every mode into one. In turbo, it can go up to 300 studs per second."
{For reference, Ace's little jet can only go up to 150.}
"How can the boat change shape so much?" Nami asked. A boat wasn't supposed to be able to change shape like that.
"That's because the metal he gave me can remember its phase, like a preset. It can memorize up to three presets and always return to its original shape."
Kairo ignored the look Nami gave him. She was about to question how the hell he knew that before remembering all the shit he knew that she had no idea existed, alongside the lore dump Robin had given her about his clan.
Yeah... it made sense. That metal.
"When a user of the Munch-Munch Fruit eats metal, they can create this special metal. That's why I had the village of Drum Island send me the metal he made." As if reading her mind, Kairo answered her thoughts.
"How did you—!"
"It's all over your face. It's quite simple to pick up on," Kairo said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"It has an aquarium inside so you can put fish in to watch, a training room, two bathrooms, and multiple bedrooms, alongside other rooms you'll see later." Franky really sounded like he was talking about a masterpiece.
"I'm assuming it uses a lot of power," Sanji said, smoking his cigarette.
To which Franky replied, "Well, it's powered by wind like every other boat, but there are other power sources. The machines in the training room also generate power, though the main power source will be electricity."
"How are we supposed to get that much electricity? This boat is massive," Nami said, then thought about it a bit more.
"My axe," Kairo said dryly, pulling it out and tossing it to Franky, who caught it. The axe crackled with energy. Franky then placed it into a slot seemingly made for it.
"It can work for now, until I find a better way to use the Goro Goro no Mi. That's the best choice... that, or Nami learning how to properly manipulate electricity."
Sometimes she wondered why she even asked questions.
While she was worrying about that, Luffy and Usopp were already on the ship.
"Look at the cannons, they're so cool!"
"Can it turn into a mech suit?" Luffy asked, looking at Franky.
"Even better." As those words left his mouth, a mech emerged from the ship—around fifty feet tall, wielding a massive sword in one hand and a blicky in the other.
"AWESOME!" x2
Stars practically sparkled in Luffy's and Usopp's eyes.
"Can we ride it?!" They sounded way too excited.
Franky smiled and pressed a button as the mech opened up, revealing a cockpit.
And Luffy was already inside.
His eyes were full of stars.
"What does this button do?" He pressed it.
Kairo instantly grabbed Nami and pulled her toward him—and just as he did, a missile fired from the mech, narrowly missing her and utterly destroying the side of a mountain.
.....
....
...
"SO COOL!"
"Luffy, no fair! I want to try it too!" They really looked like kids.
"I want to try the mech too," Chopper said, clearly excited.
Nami froze for a moment before realizing she had almost been packed up.
"Look where you're aiming, idiot! You almost got me!" she shouted.
"Sowwy..." Luffy looked down.
"Sorry isn't going to cut it, you thunderhead," she snapped. She was fuming—he almost hit her.
Luffy stayed quiet.
Nami took a breath and calmed down.
"Just look where you're aiming next time."
"I promise!" He was all smiles again.
And immediately after that promise, he pressed another button.
The mech's sword glowed with Conqueror's Haki—Kairo's Conqueror's Haki.
Luffy pressed the green button.
{One Sword Style: Flying Dragon Daze}
A massive slashing attack launched forward. Kairo tilted his head slightly as it passed him, cleaving what remained of the mountain behind him clean in two.
Zoro's eyes snapped open.
...Wait.
That was his technique.
"It's super right! The robot already has some presets in function!"
"That was awesome!" It was becoming very clear that letting Luffy pilot this thing was a terrible idea.
Meanwhile, somewhere else on the island...
Kuzan stared at the Conqueror's Haki slash that had split a mountain in half, then traced where it came from.
He had a sneaking suspicion he knew exactly where the Straw Hats were.
A/N I deadass just make Michael Bi just so that everytime he make a zesty comment no one is really to sure if he actually trying to crack his homeboy or he is just joking.
