The ship was a very big one. Ussop, even while knowing their new crewmate was there, was scared shitless.
"We should probably make a plan to—" Before Nami could say that bullshit about making a plan and having a good strategy to get in.
{Gum-Gum Rocket} Luffy had long since jumped toward the ship.
Nami's sentence wasn't even over before Luffy landed on the enemy ship.
"Get back here—!" Though before she could argue further, Kairo placed a hand on her shoulder. Nami paused a bit, looking up at the fifteen-foot-tall Lunarian.
"Luffy can do it." Kairo had 100% faith that Luffy could handle it. Hell, he was so confident that he was already pondering whether or not he should start testing out his poison. Though before he did that...
He wondered if he should go with a slow-acting poison—something the immune system would ignore until it was too late. He was a doctor, and while his field focused more on surgery, he was also an anime nerd and a Tobirama glazer.
All this to say, he knew a thing or two about alchemy. Not much—just the basic shit like making pills, proper dosages, stuff doctors usually deal with.
Though in his mind, he had a different set of memories: how to make poison, how to make things lethal, how much cyanide was needed per pound of body weight, down to the last unit of measurement.
He pondered it for a moment.
Cyanide was a hard no. That shit acted too fast and left way too many traces.
Plus, a Logia user could technically negate it to some extent, and he wanted zero chance of that—especially that magma fuck. His ass could just burn it away by turning himself into magma.
Kairo needed something more potent.
He thought deeper.
He needed something inert. Something that didn't do anything at all. Something that just sat in the blood or lymph, folding in on itself, waiting.
No symptoms. No immune response. Nothing to trip the body's alarms.
He might take a couple of pages from the White Death. After all, it was pretty effective at killing humans.
And while yes, it would work, he wasn't trying to have them die in a few years. If time were the only factor, he could just use ALS. The wait itself wasn't the issue—it was that the longer it took, the more he wanted them to suffer.
He wanted that magma fuck to watch his muscles slowly fail him, to become weak and useless... damn, he really hated that man.
He had other plans, though. ALS wasn't something you could just bottle up and hand out. That was something science back on Earth hadn't even fully figured out yet. |Speak for yourself|
Okay, so that plan was... theoretically possible.
Pocket ALS was crazy work, but hey.
Still, he needed a backup.
The insect from Little Garden crossed his mind. It had bitten Nami, and she showed no symptoms until much later. However, he'd need to add conditions—he couldn't let the body realize it was under attack too soon.
Conditions mattered. A lot.
For example, when someone was bleeding out, the body behaved differently. Priorities shifted. Corners got cut—not to heal efficiently, but fast enough to survive until help arrived. Survival odds went up.
Haki worked similarly in a sense. When the body was failing and the will was flickering, so was one's Haki. Most people wouldn't notice that—but as a trained killer, it was something he was conditioned to see.
So what if the compound didn't activate chemically at all?
What if it waited for the perfect moment—until certain conditions were met—before turning on?
Like a binding vow or a Nen contract. Not literally, but conceptually similar.
He already had ideas.
If blood loss passed a certain threshold, say 25%. Forty percent was usually fatal—miracles aside. So twenty-five percent would be enough to weaken them without killing them outright.
Then the poison would target the nervous system. Not enough to be obvious—just enough to slow reaction time slightly. Even if they noticed, they'd blame blood loss, not poison.
On the outside, it would look like exhaustion. Shock. The body giving out.
Inside, a war would be raging.
Before he could think too much further, a familiar voice snapped him back.
"This is Brook, our new crewmate."
Kairo paused.
...That didn't take long.
A/N I am really pondering the idea of Als, but he probably wont do it, though i do have plan for him not to have a devil fruit pre time skip though, wheter that continue post time skip or not is up in the air.
Though he probably wont get a fruit until he achieve one of his goals, and it need to be a slighly major one.
I now realise that some arcs in the future will be skipped because his ass will not let thing get dire enough and also by the end of the timeskip anyone Luffy face that is not a yonko or admiral get brutally molested by Kairo.
So I apologize in advance if dressora your favorite arc, Doffy going to get done worse than he did Viola...if you know, you know.
